Horrible. Came in with a family member for a simple one day procedure at 8am for a 10am appointment, they kept them waiting for 5HRS!! Didn’t get seen and was stuck in a waiting room all that time and given excuses. Then was told procedure would be 10min - was a simple thing - and 3hrs later we’re still here. They’re not that attentive. On top of that while in the waiting room saw a huge roach traveling behind the seats. Go to a different place if you can.

The nurses are top notch! The people who deliver your food are amazing! Nobody ever mentions them! Depending upon who your Dr is ( I cannot even mention her name). I was always wondering why this certain other Dr would always find me. I mentioned it to the nurse. She asked if I knew that they were brother and sister. Oh my goodness! Just another way to pad the bill! Did you know that sleep studies can be done in the comfort of your own home? Until I met my wonderful Pulmonologist I had no idea! He doesn't work out of this hospital anymore. I feel that I should mention the wonderful people who take your blood. They do not want to wake you at 6am. I wore a night mask! My arm was just fine after drawing blood everyday for 10 days. The people who come from respiratory are so very kind! They always make sure to tell you if you need to wash your mouth out after a treatment. Certain medications can give you oral thrush! I have been very lucky in the roommate department. Except for July of last year. She asked me for money and certain snacks she wanted to take home with her. I felt that she needed it. My now Husband says" you seem to have a target on your forehead". He is correct. Even when you are a visitor. The people who work the desk are so helpful and friendly! Nobody seems to mention all of the people that I made sure to give compliments to.

Some staff are really quite nice…some others need customer service training. The lady who registers you for pre admission on 1st floor was really nice and comforting. Registration staff at ground level are okay, but need to know greeting people with a smile goes a long way. Granted, they are properly overworked and underpaid but just sharing my observation.

Rooms are freezing cold, no hot water in the rooms sink, beds are OLD so very uncomfortable. Nursing staff is short handed but the staff that took care of me was excellent. I had a massive ❤️ attack and had to have 5 stents put in.

My personal experience was frightening at first. The nurse in charge ( Dineen)on the night of admittance was very rude and disrespectful to me. She stated that no one there liked me or wanted me there and perhaps I should transfer to another hospital. I then became weary of the care that I would receive from the faculty there at Bayonne Hospital. I was scared that she would try to hurt me. I have never experienced anything like that before. My doctor works from this hospital and I am very reluctant to go back there for further assistance in my medical care. I was humiliated due to the fact that she told the other nurses. I had the opportunity to have a few good nurses after this ordeal but was still afraid. No patients should feel scare of the care or the nurses when they are in the hospital regardless of their race. The assistant head nurse excused her behavior stating that she is a good nurse and knows the job very well. So therefore it would not be any discussion to reprimand this nurse Dineen. Dineen works the overnight shift from Friday to Sunday on the 3rd floor. I would like a written apology.

6 months ago i was in new jersey for vacation and needed to see a doctor bc i was feeling the symptoms of a uti(very basic and common symptoms that most humans can identify) but i needed the medication so i made the mistake of going to bayonne medical center thinking i would be treated well and, well, i wasnt. im not even going to mention the woman who attempted to take my blood three separate times and blew my veins out each time, which had NEVER happened to me before in my life, im going to skip straight to the doctor who’s name i don’t even remember who from the very beginning took one look at me and immediately began asking me “do you have hypertension” my answer was no, next “do you have a thyroid problem” no, again and finally, i knew it was coming “but you have diabetes?” no, i do not have diabetes but even if i did that would not be relevant because i have a good relationship with my doctor and i would be on medication, i have a uti, i feel it, are you going to treat me for why i am here? he said no, he’s going to check my blood sugar levels because the lower back and abdomen pains i was feeling was because of the fat on my body and not because of a possible uti, at that point i just knew i was being punked, there was no way that this was a real doctor standing in front of me. he then began to question my diet and i told him i normally eat low carb but because i’m on vacation i wasnt following any specific diet and he decided to not listen to the part where i said i normally eat low carb and said that my diet is the reason i’m in this position and im questioning ??? what position?? what assumptions are you making? because the year prior i had lost 50 pounds so he was letting his own preconceived notions about my health and body instead of listening to me get in the way and thats a terrible sign for a doctor, but im NOT done, he also made the assumption that my grandparents had diabetes and he based that on me telling him that a few distant cousins had the disease, i literally cannot make this up. again, i can’t remember the doctors name, he was asian and on the younger side, this was back in january, so i don’t want anything but to warn people who visit this hospital, there are doctors there who don’t care to listen they just look and diagnose. OH and the best part? after he ran the tests he had to slither his way back into my room to tell me that i didn’t have diabetes *surprise* and that it was a UTI. wow. these are the doctors we are supposed to trust. i gotta laugh. lol.

this hospital is terrible, the staff unpleasant. I had the emergency room 8:07 AM I broke my knee. By 8:15 I was already in the hospital. An operation is waiting From 8:15 to 12 I lay in a room with pain. They did not give anything to pain. At 12 o'clock, they gave me a morgine at 12 o'clock. And the doctor didn't show up until 3:00 PM. When I asked a nurse for a head, it was very unpleasant. I left this hospital at 3PM, my husband picked me up. Terrible hospital if you have a way, I advise you to go to another hospital

This hospital should be shut down. I went to the emergency room cause I had Chest pain. My heart was at 180 bmp, dry mouth shortness of breath my wife in tears I couldn't even stand up when I finally got to the emergency room they said I would have to wait in the waiting room nurse said I had 3 people ahead of me had no choice but to lay down on the dirty floor holding my chest while they finally called my name all the while my wife is hysterical. With no sense of urgency the nurses talking among themselves put me on a bed 25 mins later seen my a doctor. Long story short they miss diagnose me and said there's nothing wrong me and send me home. Shortness of breath got worse so i went to a different doctor next day turned out I had pneumonia and heart problem.

I have avoided BMC at all costs for years, but yesterday I went in for an emergency visit and they truly exceeded my expectations. The doctor took my illness seriously and was absolutely excellent. I cannot begin to explain how happy I am with the doctor who treated me. The nurse was good, and I was in and out in 4 hours feeling A LOT better. Thank you!

The cosmetic surgeon at Bayonne Hospital requested $3,000 upfront before stitching up my 4 year old nephew’s huge gash on his forehead. Disgusting behavior from a hospital who sees dollar signs instead of people in need.

The staff was amazing and now I know after 2yrs what's wrong with me. Shoutout to my first nurse with Dope glasses can’t remember her name, and Gabriella my second nurse. Dr Goodman knew what issue I had after two years of not knowing. Please tell him thank you, thank you, and thank you.

Filthy and dirty are the first images that come to mind. Furthermore, the majority of the administrative staff are young, very rude, and can hardly put a coherent sentence together. Making me think (and not to sound naive) that management is only interested in the "bottom line" and not the care and wellbeing of their patients. I was told that this facility is one of the most expensive in the country. Why? An immediate professional review is called for, to evaluate their adherence to basic medical standards. I was at the emergency ward a few months ago, and when the nurses assistant took out my IV he placed on the tray next to my bed. It stayed there for over twenty minutes; until I reminded him. People should receive decent, if not excellent, treatment given the prices that are being charged. Shame on you, the hospital, and shame on you Mr. Mayor for allowing this facility to continue..as is. RB

One star and that’s being generous… my dad arrived via an ambulance to the ER due to a foot injury. He was checked in, his vitals were taken but put in the waiting room to wait for ~30 mins since they were back up. Currently waiting for over 2 hours. A nurse came out calling other patients name and told us that the reason we were waiting was because they didn’t have enough beds. We told her my dad needed to use the restroom to please provide us with a wheelchair or crutches.. she never showed up; I had to end up asking the receptionist for a wheelchair. It seems you need to come to this hospital on the verge of dying in order to be seen.

I’m not sure why Bayonne Medical Center has such negative reviews. My daughter who is a teen, was scheduled for ambulatory surgery at this hospital. It was my first time coming here and my daughter’s first time having surgery so I was a little nervous coming here but let me tell you that our experience here was great from the moment we walked in. The ladies at the registration area were sweet and funny. It was very early in the morning and they had the energy to crack jokes and register my daughter in a quick manner. After the registration, my daughter and I went to the waiting room until she was called in to prepare for her procedure. I can’t express how KINDHEARTED and COMPASSIONATE were the PreOP RN Carol and RN Nancy. Carol made sure my daughter was comfortable from the beginning until the end. She was a true God sent. The PostOp RN Emilia was another AMAZING RN. I wish these professionals are in every hospital. I was truly blown away with all their care for my daughter. Not sure if we were lucky, but I do think the staff at this hospital truly deserve recognition.

Horrible experience nurses need to find a different profession. Not caring, rude and inconsiderate. Waited for 4 long hours in the emergency room and still wasn't seen. Only to be told only one doctor in the ER. Sad

this hospital is horrendous. you could be in extreme pain & you’d have to be waiting for almost 1-3 hours for them to just put you in a room & on top of that they put you in a room & literally leave you there without doing anything whatsoever, so you’d have to wait for them to ask you what’s wrong with you & literally don’t do anything to actually make you feel better. this is the most horrible hospital ever, don’t go to this hospital if you wanna get some health issues checked out. you’d just be waiting in pain instead of actually getting helped & also the hospital is dirty, it’s like they don’t clean anything at all & it’s just a horrible smell.

Well I had a procedure here about a month ago and staff was phenomenal. This morning I went to drop off some results as I have a follow up procedure next month. The security at the desk is very unprofessional and rude.. An older man… asking me why I need to bring my results and why I have to go to upstairs… please train these people properly. They don’t know my health situation and my state of mind.

Bayonne Medical Center was my first experience with a medical facility after moving here in August, and I have zero complaints and only the highest of praise. The staff to a person were friendly, efficient, compassionate, and clearly knew their business. I felt safe and well-cared for in every aspect of my visit. They even handled a clumsy snafu on my part with my insurance information with total professionalism. The best experience an emergency visit could be. Highly recommended.

I came twice to the emergency room and both times everyone was so kind and helpful. Didn’t have to wait long at all!! I’m so used to waiting almost 2 hours elsewhere but I literally waiting less then 25mins each time I came. Very clean. The nurses try to attend your every need. During the day visit was only about 4 hours all together til I got to go home and night visit was literally 2 hours and that’s with an ex ray. This is my personal experience and I was happy 😊

This is one of the worst hospitals in the state. I helped my mother to the emergency room while she was in extreme pain. We found a construction worker hammering extremely loudly in the middle of the small emergency room. I asked staff to have him pause the hammering while there were patients in the room. They refused to stop. I called the hospital later and asked them to consider pausing the hammering while there were emergency patients waiting to be admitted. I found out that they did not stop the hammering. I informed the new shift of emergency room staff of the issue and they again refused to even accept my complaint. I also found out that they admitted a patient who came much later to the hospital before my mother. Don't come to this hospital for any reason.

I cannot express enough gratitude for Doctor Moszczynski Zbigniew and the Bayonne Hospital team. My 74-year-old mother had internal bleeding caused by an intestinal ulcer and was rushed to the hospital. Doctor Moszczynski Zbigniew performed a successful surgery to remove the ulcer, and his expertise and confidence made us feel like she was in the best possible hands. Not only was the surgery successful, but Doctor Moszczynski Zbigniew's aftercare was exceptional. He and the hospital team went above and beyond to ensure that my mother was comfortable and on the path to a speedy recovery. Their dedication and hard work were evident, and we are forever grateful. If you are in need of a skilled and compassionate surgeon, I highly recommend Doctor Moszczynski Zbigniew. He and the Bayonne Hospital team are exceptional, and I can't thank them enough for the care they provided to my mother during this difficult time.

Worst ER experience ever. I went in with abdominal pain which turned out to be uterine fibroids. The physician stuck her finger in me and said "I'm doing this because the patient will say you did nothing for them" which she didn't. It was the most humiliating experience.

This is worst hospital in the country. They took horrible care of my aunt. Then gave no choice and kicked her out a sent her to a rehab center. Then had a heart attack there and died 2 weeks later. Stay away from this hospital if possible.

This is the worst hospital to be in during an emergency room visit. Dr. stopped to see me for 3 minutes and prescribed Tylenol for a fractured shoulder and had very poor bedside manners. Had a awful experience with their services. I want to thank the one nurse that was sweet in addressing my needs, Bless her and her family.

I won’t suggest this hospital to any of my friends and families… I also work in the hospital and I they’re not even close when it comes to patient care. I brought my mom via ambulance in their ER and already fell and hit her head on the floor not even in 24 hrs of her stay there. On the floor is the same. So disappointed with the care.

I understand Covid-19 got over most of staff's head. You are there to make each patient feel better and help them. This isn't first time someone I know stayed for a week. His visitors can hear each nurse talking down on doctors giving each patient awful nicknames. When rooms were full you couldn't hear clearly with nurse topic gossip nurses. Now only a person having their own room. They judge about (she/he) "are perfectly fine, we can give someone who in serious pain instead" if a nurse doesn't understand you only helping any doctor to keep track on their patients, a nurse wants to talk big about doctors than go back to school become a doctor. (btw) some nurses get annoyed when a person bugs them, like that's your job to be there for your patient. OHHHHHHHHH honesty they are lucky visitor hours 11am to 2pm after that (gossip hours for some nurses) PLEASE anyone who goes to visit your love ones, ask if any nurses been disrespectful to him/her. You will thank me later

😠 I came here two nights in a row with an extreme allergic reaction all over my body. The first night the staff were understanding and overly competent, and they cared I was uncomfortable and needed help. They gave me a prescription and regiment and I went home.
