We have found a jeweler for life in Highland Diamond. From our very first visit to learn about different types of diamonds, to the custom engagement ring my husband built with John, to every piece of special jewelry in between, Highland has been amazing to work with. We love stopping in to chat with John, who always has the perfect recommendation for us. On top of our amazing wedding bands, him and his wife helped my husband pick out the most beautiful necklace for my wedding gift. We have already sent a number of friends to him who are looking for engagement rings, and will continue to do so. Highland Diamond was lovely to work with! If you want something custom, or you are SUPER particular about diamonds, John is your guy. John went above and beyond to make sure we got the exact diamond we wanted for our engagement ring. After viewing about 25 different stones, we selected a perfect radiant. Could not be happier with the classic solitaire setting and look forward to working with him on designing our wedding bands!

Highland Diamond saved the day, truly. I got my wedding ring from another jeweler who convinced me to get it a size smaller than I’m comfortable with. I went back twice to ask them to resize it and both times they said I was making a bad choice, but it never felt right. Now I’m two weeks from my wedding and was sure I couldn’t find another jeweler who would resize the ring before my big day and I would have to settle for using my engagement ring. But I brought it to Highland Diamond and they listened to me, resized it on the spot, and only charged me $20 (the other place said it would be $100). I had to choke back tears, I was so happy and relieved. This will be where my wife and I get all our jewelry going forward.

John is absolutely the best jeweler in Atlanta. If you want an experience with someone who actually cares, he is your guy. He helped me design my fiancées engagement ring from scratch and it turned beautiful. It is awesome to have a unique ring that no one else has. We have bought our bands there as well and will be customers for life.

Highland Diamond is simply the best in the game! I live in Texas, so travel to Atlanta to work on a custom engagement ring wasn't possible due to pandemic travel restrictions. Understanding the leap of faith required here, John and his team worked to earn my trust early on by providing stellar service over many initial emails, text messages, and phone calls. When it came time to choose a diamond, John tapped into his worldwide network of brokers to find a stone in Mumbai, India that met all of my detailed specifications. Once John had the stone in his possession, he sent me pictures, videos, and all necessary documentation just to give me a little extra peace of mind before moving forward with the setting. The process behind designing the setting itself was hands on and thorough even though we were many hours away from each other. I received 3D renderings of the setting from multiple views and all of my questions were answered with thought and expertise. A few weeks after the process started, I received the most beautiful engagement ring in the mail. John even text messaged me as the courier was leaving to ensure the ring was received in good order. Then, a few days later, she said yes! It gives me hope to know that there are good people in this world like John and the team at Highland Diamond. It takes a lot of trust to work on such an important project from so many miles apart, but Highland Diamond made me feel like family each step of the way. This is why they will be my jeweler for life!

Small store; big experience! I purchased my bow wife’s engagement ring from Drew and we came back for our wedding bands since she loved the ring so much. I would highly recommend coming here for any jewelry needs :) Super personalized experienced, and they listen/deliver what you want.

INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Katherine has been a huge help to my fiancé and I as we custom made my wedding band and got his band here as well. She helped us when we needed resizing, she made sure the diamonds matched my wedding band after multiple times comparing the wax model to my band, she kept me updated with the schedule and when we would be able to pick them up and even squeezed us in for one last engagement ring cleaning before we left for our wedding! So, obviously the communication and attention to detail was fantastic from both Katherine and John and we are so thankful a dear friend recommended them to us! If you’re hesitant, just go in and chat with either one of them and they’ll make you feel comfortable while giving you all the options and detail that you could want. I can’t wait to continue this relationship with Highland Diamond!

We absolutely love Highland Diamond! John (the owner) is amazing and always takes care of us (cleaning and fixing our jewelry and watches in a pinch). Their entire staff are knowledgeable and personable. They have an amazing selection of diamonds and jewelry! John and The Highland Diamond Team have looked after me and my family multiple times - often ‘sizing us down’ to make sure what we buy suits our style and other jewelry. His price, quality, customer service and family atmosphere is unrivaled. He has resized our rings for free, cleaned and polished diamonds and even gave me a few silicon rings when we bought our wedding bands. Multiple friends have been in, and loved them for the same reason.

These guys are the best. When he says "I'm your personal jeweler" he means it, and you get something different, special, unique and timeless. He designed our anniversary rings and they turned out better than I had imagined. Better service, pricing and quality than the larger competitors.

Andrew and John are the best! They were so easy to work with. I was planning on going the online route for my engagement ring purchase and was told to look at some rings in person first before purchasing. After meeting with Andrew the first time, I knew that I would be sticking with them instead. He brought in more diamonds for me to look at and wasn't satisfied until I was. He educated me on what I should be looking for, and even worked with me to create a custom setting. Andrew and John really took the pressure out of my decision and were always welcoming over my 6 or 7 visits. They communicated extremely well, and I enjoyed getting to know them. I have already taken my mom's rings to them to be cleaned and have reached out to them about future work as well. I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you guys! 5/5!!!!

I came in Dec with my 2 daughters to get diamond earrings for one, while the other daughter and I got our rings cleaned plus missing diamonds added. We are all SO happy with the above services!! My ring was ready (sweetly) on my 36th wedding anniversary! It is as beautiful as the day I got it and I can't stop looking at it. My younger daughter feels the same way about her ring. Thank you for the excellent service! PS: My son in law said, "I never knew you had a diamond wedding ring. Why haven't you been wearing it all these years?" Their prompt response is appreciated, and I've updated the star rating (from 2 to 4 stars) on this review accordingly. However regrettably, due to my experience, as well as the handling of certain aspects when resolving, and misinformation in the owner's google response, I've decided not to revisit the shop. Original Review 12/16/23: Not a great first impression. Lovely selection of diamonds & jewelry, but service and quality of work needs significant improvement. I live in the neighborhood & went in for a quick watch battery replacement. When my watch was returned it had a large scratch on the bottom where the battery was replaced. I know 100% the scratch was not there prior as I inspected my watch throughly before handing it over to them. (Photo shows minor scratches on the bottom as the watch is a few years old, but the large scratch was made the man (owner?) that replaced the battery). This is not acceptable & very disappointed he would not be more careful. Unfortunately I did not see the scratch until after leaving. Regardless of jewelry brand or cost, all items should be handled with care. My watch is a danish brand, & to replace the battery through the company itself, would have had to mail to Denmark. Compared to other jewelers in the area, Highland Diamond charges slightly more for a battery replacement ($25), which I was fine with due to convenience of location. In addition, the man was not the friendliest or most welcoming. As I looked around the shop while waiting, his attitude/tone also reflected in how he spoke to his associate Karen during various moments when she was trying to help straighten up the shop (would think if a customer is present in the shop, one would be more mindful in how they speak to their staff.) Coming from a family line of entrepreneurs and a business owner myself, you notice everything. Karen on the other hand provided excellent customer service as I waited for the replacement. Thank you again Karen.

We found Highland Diamond by chance. We were looking for a jeweler to help create my engagement ring. We spoke to many jewelers and most of them made us feel like less than for wanting to repurpose our family gems into the setting. The Highland Diamond team answered every question we had and helped us bring our vision to life. John helped us incorporate family gems and even found a stone to match a stone we had and round out the setting. Katherine helped me design my bridesmaids, jr bridesmaids and flower girl gifts for our wedding. And they have done repairs on my fine jewelry as well as some nicer cocktail pieces that needed some tlc. For custom projects they are MUCH quicker than any other place we talked to. That said you do need to be reasonable and provide time to get the project done. We are customers for life!

I am so glad I found this place! Wonderful owner, really reasonable pricing and close to my house. So glad I found this place vs where I was going in Buckhead that charged me 4x more and made me wait a week just to get a ring checked/tightened.

There's a beautiful selection of new and vintage jewelry. I am getting new appraisals for some jewelry and got a couple of pieces reset. And they liked ernie or 15 lbs dog. I couldn't resist a truly delicate diamond and emerald necklace on an extremely delicate chain.

My fiancé and I had the best experience with Highland Diamond. We met three different members of the team and they were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My fiancé's ring was created in store and turned out perfectly--we're so happy with Highland Diamond and would strongly recommend them. So I needed to get my band as well as my fiance ring sized. I was going to design a band for her but we actually ended up getting her a beautiful band that went perfectly with her ring. We definitely make other purchases there in the future.

Had a wonderful experience, told John what my now fiancé wanted, and he pulled out the perfect ring! Buying an engagement ring is a nerve racking process, highland diamond made it smooth and simple!

John was absolutely amazing! I wasn't there to purchase anything, but I had dropped a slim silver ring on the floor that led to a small dent in the ring. Brought it in and John and his team were able to fix it super fast! They did it for free. Seeing I didn't have a box for the ring (it's a gift) John offered to give me a ring box and bag completely for free! Just a super enjoyable experience.
