Amazing place. We stopped by just for a beer right after landing in Launceston and spent the whole evening. Beer is great, food is excellent, staff is extremely lovely, and the local patrons are the best. Long time I haven’t been in a place where everything was perfect. Can’t wait to be back!

On a quiet Sunday night in Launceston, we stumbled across this bar, which was comparatively busy and full of life. Loved the selection of beers and seltzers, away from the usual styles and culprits. If you’re a craft beer fan, definitely stop by here.

They serve a variety of really good vegan food. The black eyed pea salad was nice and refreshing and the added eggplant fit well with it. The vegan burger is also surprisingly good, especially if you are into bean patties. The vegan cheese they use for their burger is a highlight. My favourite food was the banana blossom taco. Never had anything like it before.

My husband arrived in Lonnie late due to travel issues and St John’s was the only place in town still serving food. We went in without expectations but we’re blown away! The cheeseburger and beef Wellington burger were excellent. The chips were cooked fresh and were crisp. The beers were refreshing after a very long travel day. The staff was nice. I will definitely be back!

We ordered: - fried chicken burger - pork, chicken and fish tacos - salmon gravlax - Hope Brewery Sunny Boy Orange & Mango Super Sour - moo brew dark ale We ordered via the QR code and the food came out promptly. Service and food was great. They have a wide variety of beers and ciders on taps. The sour orange mango beer and the pork tacos were the standout of our meal. Will definitely be back if we are ever in Launceston again.

There was a wide variety of craft beer that was really good. Food was also amazing - the beef wellington burger was tender and juicy, charred octopus taco was flavorful and the buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce was a combination of flavors that were mouth watering. will definitely be back when in Launceston again!

I had a meal of crusted chicken tenders with blue vein cheese sauce. It was magnificent. All my friends enjoyed their meal in a newly developed area. I would highly recommend this venue for excellent meals and friendly service. Betty

Have always been curious about this place. Reading reviews here am a bit gutted I missed the Beef Wellington burger that was on the menu a year ago, wish I'd come in before. So I came in pretty much after stepping off the plane from Melbourne after a sleepless night, hectic trip over with an hour delay due to the weather and tried the pork burger. I'd had a very impressive pork belly burger at Republic bar in Hobart so thought I'd see if I could continue the luck with the pork and I was not disappointed. This was a knockout, interesting ingredients and flavours, lovingly cooked with a generous, high quality Scotch fillet of pork, I expected it to be decent but this was really good. It is pretty much perfect gastro pub food, hit the bullseye and the Tasmanian IPA beer from the tap I paired it with complementef it perfectly. The chimichurri sauce the man at the bar recommended to go with the chips was beautiful too. Warm, cosy, inviting atmosphere, staff all really friendly and nice, seriously impressed.

Best bar in the state of Tasmania. Jack and the rest of the crew were super friendly and made our first impression of Tasmania a positive one. Great food (pork tacos are the best) and huge selection of rotating tap beers, sourced locally. Great patrons as well. This place should be national treasure. Thanks guys!

Great bar and one of the only ones open on New Year’s Day, I had the lamb burger and OMG, it was amazing. Great job guys, nice bar, good vibes, lots of choice and friendly staff. Will be returning from Melbourne just for that lamb burger so keep it on the menu please!

My official favourite haunt when I visit Launceston, especially for lunch. Very tasty food which actually caters to dietary requirements like vegan or dairy and gluten sensitivity. Their drink selection is extensive and mostly local, but above all they have a range of non-alcoholic craft beers! (Including stout) The staff are knowledgeable, outgoing, prompt and just generally good at what they do.

Really interesting range of ales, great service and good music. Relaxed atmosphere, super easy-going retro hipster style. Burgers are superb.

We found this place on one of our walks and stopped for a brew. We ended up going back 3 nights in a row while we were in town. They have some really tasty beers on tap and they let you try them before you choose one. We recommend the Sierra Nevada, it’s delicious. Thanks Guys !

Nice vibe to this inner city bar. The barstaff were friendly and food came out at a reasonable time. The beef wellington burger was interesting. Quite tasty. The octopus taco was okay and the fish burger was good! Good selection of craft beers too

I'm sure this place has a great range of craft beer but I didn't stick around to find out. The service was appalling, the worst I've experienced for a long time. The young lady behind the counter seemed irritated that I had even come in to ask if the kitchen was still open (it wasn't), then when I opted to grab a couple of beers from the fridge for take away she started aggressively barking orders at me to stand back and check in. Will definitely avoid this place if I'm in town again.

One of my favourite places for a quick delicious taste of one of their latest beer offers. Acoustics are amazing in this place and you can have a nice low level chat no matter the number of people also there. Would be great to hear some live music here given those great acoustics. Staff always welcoming.

Fantastic venue, it's a staple in what Launceston has to offer. Amazing selection of beers sourced locally and well traveled alike. With something for everyone the bar has an evolving wine list, some of the best bottles by the glass at great prices as well as an extended takeaway list. The spirit selection is incredible as it doesn't really matter your preference, the team behind the bar can and will have something you're going to love. Can't stress enough how good the extensive food menu is, with cool things added all the time you should check it out for yourself! Their takeaway service is really good too so locals make use! Do yourself a favor and go see the team behind the bar, their service makes going in a blast everytime!

This place is a hidden gem! Design of the bars & wall decoration is superb and so creative. You must try their twice cooked potatoes! Large variety of craft beers. I didn't expected that a small entry would turn into a very large space at the back. I can't wait to go back.
