Crystal Cave is interesting and worth the tour. Prices are clearly listed on their website. We had an hour wait before our tour started. They have the gift shop to explore, panning for gemstones, mini golf, picnic areas, and nature trails to walk on before or after your tour. While we waited for our time slot we ate in the picnic areas. Restrooms are in a couple locations....down by the historic inn and up the hill by the cave entrance area. The ice cream and food places were not open and in my experience the fast food is not worth it. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic with friends and family. Mini golf is a basic course good for children but it was inexplicably closed at 3 when we finished our cave tour. Had been open before that. The cave tour lasts for about one hour including the 10 minute video before the tour. Our tour group included someone who was scared of heights so something to keep in mind. And wear shoes that have good traction as the stone steps and paths get slippery. One of the coolest parts of the tour was the few minutes of total darkness in the cave! Very disturbing if you're scared of the dark but gives you an idea of the brave people who explored this cave over a century ago.

Very cool place! Beautiful cave, great tour guide, lots of history. Definitely something fun to do for the whole family with all ages. The drive was nice. There's lots of food and an ice cream bar but nothing to eat if you're vegan. I was impressed with tour guides and you could tell that they really do care a lot about the caves. They sured a ton of information.

This was my first time here. My wife and I decided spur of the moment to take our 11 year old daughter and her friend to Crystal Cave today. They have cool souvenir shops and a little fast food restaurant. And of course they have the Crystal Cave. They had tours running every half hour. So after you buy your ticket, you hike up a big hill to the entrance. Once inside, you watch a 13 minute movie about the history of the cave before the tour begins. Was interesting and we got some cool pics. I think I would have enjoyed it more with a different tour guide though. I was expecting whole walls of crystals (like geodes) everywhere, so it was a little disappointing in that aspect. But my daughter and friend loved it and that's all that matters to me. After the tour we bought a bag of dirt that the girls then sifted through to find crystals, fossils and cool stones. That was their favorite part. Definitely a fun trip if you have kids.

I had a fantastic experience at Crystal Cave exploring with my kids and nephews. Our tour guide was super nice and knowledgeable, and the cave itself is interesting for kids and adults alike. The gift shop is nice as well, sort of feels like you're stepping back in time, and the fireplace was a great place to warm up on a cold March day.

Crystal Cave is a small town attraction with a big wow factor. The tour groups are small enough that you can get a good look at everything the guide points out. There's a part of the tour where they turn the lights out and you stand in the pitch black - you can feel the energy of the Cave! It's wonderful. The tour starts with a short, informative film that tells you how the cave formed. Candlelight tours are held in October. Order tickets early! A big variety of reasonably price crystals are available in the gift shop, along with tons of shirts and mugs and more. ** Two out of two of the geodes we broke were loaded with crystals!

Hidden gem in PA. They have enough parking. We had a good tour guide, he explained history of cave and how it was found and crystals formation process very well. There was not much crowd on our visit day. Temperature is cold like 54°F down in cave so hoodie or jacket recommended. It has stairs inside to go from one level to another and floor is wet and slippery so you have to be careful walking inside cave. There is gem panning activity for kids outside near Cave management office, souviner shop and museum.

Great experience. Really great tour guide explaining every bit of cave and history. Just that cave is fairly small with very few formations. Also all these are natural formed so more on pristine color. There are no other colors. But still some of the shapes are worth seeing.

It was an awesome experience. I love learning how things of the world are made. Guided tours give you the story while feeling like you could have been there!

Honestly, a very fun and interesting place to spend some time. As an adult I thought it was very amazing to see and for kids I can guarantee they would have a fun time. The shop is super cool as well! Great place to take it all in and even walk a nature trail afterwards.

We had a blast here! The mini golf course was fun and actually kinda hard! Did not have a long wait for the tour and our group was very small which was awesome, Lucas did a fantastic job going over the different formations and keeping it fun for all ages, if you can ask for him I recommend it! The gift shop had MANY different minerals, rocks, gems to purchase, and some really cool unique items. Absolutely recommend a visit here!

Had a great time. It's definitely a family experience, but just going to see it all was really cool. Small cave compared to most, but still have the opportunity for complete darkness. The guides were knowledgeable and had a bunch of cheesey jokes/ funny anecdotes. Overall, it was a great Sunday to get away and see something cool.

Beautiful cave. We drove through Pennsylvania instead of NY. Great choice! Countryside drive was gorgeous. Cave Tour made for a short and wonderful pit stop. Many steps but short distance. Lots of caves formations.

We enjoyed the cave and the free museum. We payed 19 per person and had no wait. Before the cave they had a 15 minute film on the history. The only thing I didn't care for was the tour guide pointing out formations and refuring to them as animals, people etc... Instead of explaining what they really are. They have fast food, ice cream shop and souvenirs.

Beautiful, but a long walk up the mountain for canny granny 👵 worth every penny. One of the best overview of a caves I've seen. The tour guide Catherine was super young! But she did a terrific job! 🎉

Crystal Cave is an amazing natural wonder. The staff of the cave was very good and friendly, specially our tour guide who was fun to listen to and he explained everything in detail about the history of the cave. We didn’t get the chance to try ice cream from there ice cream shop since it was closed. I hope they have some other food to eat available for the people because this place is middle of nature, so it can be hard to find anything else to eat around it. I would recommend bringing your own food or eating before you go there.

A very cool experience with very friendly tour guide. For the kids who never had experience with cave, it is definitely a place that worth to go. Other than the cave, there are miniature golf, gemstone panning, and a trail. The price of the restaurant and ice cream parlor are reasonable (picture attached).

Had a great trip to the cave! Our tour guide Shawn was awesome! Very informative and entertaining. The gift shop was cute. Be forewarned that the stairs to the cave entrance are tough. Those with disabilities had no easy way in and walking through the cave would not be easy either. I guess you would expect that going to a cave though. Would definitely go back!

It was absolutely amazing! We're already planning to go back. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. My husband and I took our 10 year old with us and all three of us had a great time. Our tour guide was fantastic. He did so well with the group we had that ended up being his largest of the day. He was extremely patient with everyone's questions and pictures. He was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and all around just a wonderful person. I feel horrible for not posting this the moment we left because I no longer remember his name. I'm sure it started with a D and I want to say Derek but you know who you are sir and you're amazing! Thank you for the experience. Hopefully next time we visit the night time / dark tours will be going on again.

Cave was a little smaller than I was hoping but it was a nice tour. The temperature was amazing, food court was sadly out of funnel fries but the chili dog and French fries were just what I was needing. Everyone was very kind. Scenery leading to the location was beautiful.

This place is definitely a hidden gem when it comes to history tours. The cave was smaller than I imagined but had all the safety bars intact and the instructor, I can't think of her name, she was amazing, kid-friendly service very professional, helpful and descriptive when it came to answering any questions the tourists had. They also have a gift shop which seemed very well kept, and also they have an ice cream parlor, mini golf, hiking trails, gem washing(well worth the money).

Have been visiting Crystal Cave since the 80's, and decided to take the trip one last time with my kids (3rd trip for them) as they are nearly adults. It's amazing how much the cave has changed over the years, but one thing hasn't changed. Over the years it has remained constant, the friendliness of the caves caretakers and staff, and they great care they take of the cave, protecting it, and allowing all to experience such an incredible natural wonder.

This place blew me away. Besides having a richly stocked gift shop the tour itself was fantastic. Given the comparatively small size of the cave when measured up against other famous caverns you wouldn't expect too much. Oh how wrong you would be. The tour guides here are something else. They are friendly and seem to know every inch of the cave by heart. Every room has some quirk of personality, and the guides make sure you know it. What would be a regular boring room is a diorama of natural sculptures. Here are vegetables formed by stalactites, and there are the clear busts of a zoo of animals. You get every dollars worth from the tour. I would recommend everyone to visit this place, you won't regret it.

It was a nice day to explore. Could be pricey with admission, gifts, icecream and the gem search. Oh and there's mini golf too. Haven't been in 30 years so it was nice to bring the grands so they could have the experience.

Be prepared to traverse some stairs! Kind of a shorter tour in comparison to others we've done, but still a great cave! Very accommodating for larger groups with a big gift shop, as well as mini golf, panning, and ice cream!

A terrific place for young and old. Not too old cause there’s many hills you have to climb and steps inside the cave. However a great day to spend inside the cave and 54° on a hot day. A lot to see in the staff is very friendly and attendive would highly recommend.

First time. Exceeded my expectations. The 5 of us really enjoyed it. Cave is gorgeous and very cool. Tour guide named Shawn / Sean was very nice, helpful and enthusiastic through the tour. Answered all of my questions. Pan sifting is a MUST. The huge bag is a must. You’re guaranteed a huge show piece rock. Gift shop was nice. Well priced for small gems - crystals etc. The snack shack was good. Hersheys ice cream. Mini golf is okay. Impossible to get a hole in one, but with 3 kids they played hockey LOL. Nature trail was amazing. Well groomed and not too long after your long day of cave diving. A+

Nice cave to spend the morning. Reasonable prices. Lobby with interesting collections of guns, stuffed animals, dinosaur exhibit. My 4 year old grandson loved it. Nature trail off the parking lot gave us a chance to see 3 or 4 deer pretty close also.

Beautiful caves and a very fun walkthrough experience. It’s kind of amazing to get to stand so close to these incredible formations that are hundreds of thousands of years old. Highly recommend for a casual day trip for adults or families. My partner and I left feeling genuinely enriched by the experience. Our guide Claire was phenomenal. She really knows her stuff when it comes to Crystal Cave and its history, including its formation & discovery.

Stepping back in history, getting in the middle of a mystery, admiring the early adventurers’ courage and bravery, spending 2-3 hours of quality time with family or friends, welcome to Crystal cave!!! Bring a jacket even if it is super hot outside, because it is cold and damp underground. This is a place worth visiting all the time. It helps you put things into perspective - how great humans could be and how powerless we can be in front of nature. We enjoyed it many times. I hope you do too.

Me and my family truly enjoyed the tour and a round of mini golf as we waited to begin our tour. It was hot outside but inside the cave was cold, but it got comfortable after a few minutes of being inside. The tour guide we had (forgot her name) was great, she was very informative, funny, and handled our group with ease and smooth transitions. This is definitely worth exploring.

A hole in the ground, but an interesting one. The cave was pretty neat, even if the pre-tour movie was clearly dated. There is a little bit of climbing up and down stairs in the cave, so it's not really handicapped accessible. But it IS a cave. A fun attraction to see.

We went for an adventure on one of the spring break days from school. Both kids thought the cave was cool and the tour guide was good. I feel like the tour was longer when I was a kid and the cave bigger. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is b/c the food spots that is at the cave is not open. Pack a lunch or pick it up on your way. Also we got there around 12 or 12:30 and the first tour we could book was at 2:10. I don't know if this was because of spring break or what but call ahead to set your trip expectations.

Had a day off and randomly decided to take a trip to Crystal Cave as I haven't been since probably middle school. The cave was just as cool as I remember it being! The hike up to the cave entrance did wind me a bit, but the immediate cool air of the little pre-tour informational movie more than helped. You will be going up and down lots of stairs in the cave, but it is not extremely taxing and our guide was fine letting the group come to each stop at their own pace. Speaking of our tour guide, Willow was awesome! She mentioned to me that it was her first time doing a tour again after a while of working in the gift shop, but she did not seem to miss a beat at all. Very kind and informative! The gift shop had loads of cool stuff, too, and all fairly priced. Panning for gemstones was also really fun to do! Will definitely be back with friends next time.

I LOVE Crystal Cave it's one of my favorite places to be! I would go there anytime I'm asked. They have a wonderfully priced crystal selection in the shop and the tour is awesome. Their formations are amazing. I recommend going whenever you can if you love nature or minerals!
