By far the best neighborhood bar in West Seattle. I love that they have a vegan focus, because for a non-meat eater like me, it means I have a whole menu to pick from! Not a fan of their jackfruit tacos but they lentil nachos were out of this world! Hands down, best nachos I’ve ever tried. This is a great place to just unwind and relax with friends and I hope to turn it into my go-to place.

Box Bar is a pure and special spot filled with great people, amazing food, and a wonderful vibe. We have been many times over the years and the food and service are consistent. The food is something I crave regularly. Stop reading and go get the lentil nachos. Right. Now. They are the best nachos I’ve ever had and even better you don’t feel gross after eating them. Seriously go now. For dinner the TBLTA and Chickpea Cheddar sandwiches are wonderful. The Mac and cheese and kale Caesar are also solid contenders. For breakfast, the chocolate waffle and the lox bagel are my favorites. Also make sure to get a tasty cocktail and the chocolate mousse for dessert!

Great food, amazing options. Drinks are solid and generous. 100% plant based menu but rest assured there is no lack of flavor or choice. Definitely try it.. It's a small staff headcount so be patient and speak up if you need something.

Cute vegan spot in West Seattle. Food is amazing (even my carnivorous boyfriend loved it) and the vibe is excellent. Hello, 90s hip hop tunes during brunch. There was one gluten free option for brunch (would love to see more in the future!).

We loved it here! Stopped in for dinner while in the area, and we had a really nice time. The staff were all very friendly and kept us topped up with water (this is a trend for our Seattle trip; it's been warm ha ha). I had the TBLTA, which was great, and my partner had the French dip, and she loved it. We both had side salads, which were simple and tasty. The vibe was really nice, very welcoming and cool. Everything was super clean and nice. Great stop.

Came here from where I live down in Tacoma while visiting some friends. Excellent food, AMAZING people. Immaculate vibes. I will be returning, and often !!! (I got a peach ginger ale in this beautiful glass!)

100% best restaurant in West Seattle if not Seattle! The owners are awesome, George makes stiff and amazing drinks. The kale salad is my favorite, but after trying everything on the menu I can honestly say it’s all great!

Great food and drink options and friendly staff. I recommend the boxed wine, signature cocktails and vegan nachos. They have a wide variety of vegan food options. The dishes are refreshing, colorful and healthy. The cashew cheese is delicious!

I’ve never been to a vegan place because I’ve always been afraid if they would lack the flavor but this place definitely DOES NOT MISS… as my friend said. After we left “I think I might be vegan” THE NACHOS AND ROMAN CURRY 😍 so FIRE! 11/10 coming back!

Loved the food here! Came here for a small birthday brunch and the avocado toast was delicious. Docking a star because I came back on a Saturday at 11am and it was closed, despite what it said online (Google and their own website).

Vegan food with drinks. We tried sandwiches and tacos, there were good.

We’ve been meaning to give this place a try. Especially since we are trying to eat a more plant forward diet. We started the chips and cashew queso which was nice. A little on the sweet side for some reason. Could have used more salt. Their wine kegs were out of multiple options. I didn’t know the term “box bar” meant the wine was from boxes? Is that the theme? I expected a bit more from this place. I wasn’t a fan of the food. Pretty bland and they were also out of what I wanted to order. I settled on an entree that I ended up sending back. Service was quite slow since only one guy was handling all the tables. There were several others behind the bar doing food I guess, but he was solo on a pretty packed house. Feel he could have used some help. He was great no issues with server. My partner got a kale salad that he really liked. Overall just a little below average experience.

Traveled from Bellevue while vacationing for a week to eat at this spot as I’m Vegan and the Instagram looked great. When I arrived I pointed to the images of what I’d like to order and was told they were all previous specials they don’t currently have on the menu. Even the pumpkin cheese cake was sold out which I was told they make earlier in the week and when it sells out it’s gone. I had wanted soup and sandwich (with soft bread) combo, sadly no soup available. I settled for a to go chocolate moose. I feel this location needs to utilize social media as a tool, post on stories daily when things sell out as everything seems limited quantity. Also on the website and digital menu have images of the current food on menu. I would only recommend this spot if you are willing to settle for what they have in the moment as opposed to going out of your way to eat here because of what you see listed on their social media and digital menu. Super cute spot. Atmosphere looked great for a 6.45 on a Saturday. Sad I didn’t get to try anything that looked so appetizing on social media.

Box Bar is a great restaurant whose dishes happen to be vegetarian. Their food is extremely tasty. Same goes for their drinks - they have a cucumber mojito like drink that is fabulous. Small and quiet inside the restaurant - a fave of mine!

I can't comment on the bar aspect as I only came here for food. I opted to just get a dessert as most of their food options are pretty simple and could easily be made at home for a fraction of the price which is a little disappointing because usually I hope for more creativity from a vegan restaurant. The mousse pie was good. Only other complaint is I ordered another dessert they were out of (can't fault them for that) and they said they'd refund the charge but never did which is slightly sketchy.

First timer…. So glad I trusted all of the positive reviews. Box Bar does not disappoint. The service was excellent. The food was both inventive and delicious, as were the cocktails. I had the portobello mushroom sandwich, and I am still thinking about it! The server was telling me that there are some fun late night events that I’m excited to come back for….

First time here and will definitely be back! I enjoyed all the food and the drinks were delicious as well. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the service was great.

This place is absolutely amazing! George is such a stellar bartender and always takes such great care of his guests. The soup that rotates is always killer, and I would make the portabella French dip my last meal if I could. I’m not even vegan anymore and I still put this into my weekly rotation. Give ‘em a shot! Ps brunch is super cute when you order coffee you get your own mini French press. To die for.

The food was absolutely delicious and the hospitality was exceptional. The most entertaining thing was watching staff take treats to dogs that passed by. Apparently the dogs know this is a treat stop because they walk up to the door, sit, and start wagging their tails. So fun!

I love this place so much!! I’m low key addicted to their vegan nachos. I hope they stick around for a long time, because it’s so great to have a local vegan place to get dinner from. Good sized portions, fair prices, and delicious food. I have yet to go make it in for brunch, but it’s on my list!

Great-team in the kitchen! Awesome plant-based food on the menu! Had a delicious plant-based brunch! The team was slammed and still were gracious and informative under fire. For those who eat plant-based this could be your weekly spot for a real meal, a glass of wine or local beer and a service team and kitchen who understands how you eat. The chef is truly creative and builds deep flavor into the food.

Delicious food and superb service. We brought our dog thinking they might have outside seating and although they didn't when we got there the team brought a table outside for us, along with dog biscuits! Really kind and accommodating. The tacos were delicious and the waiter suggested getting a combo of the two taco options (2 jackfruit, one jalapeno) so I could try both flavors - so kind of them to offer and glad I did they were both superbly delicious! The dessert was so good I'm coming back to get take out so I can take cake when visiting non-vegans. Best vegan cake in the area. Also loved the pink gin cocktail (I forget the name). The menu felt fully considered by seasoned vegans with such good options it's hard to choose, and sparing no expense on quality ingredients. Can't wait to go back and thanks so much for the friendly hospitality!
