Food was very tasty! I appreciated the quick and friendly service on my lunch hour. It was a little pricey- spent $51.48 total for everything pictured but having my husband made it okay, 'cause he paid🤗 and he loved his tacos. My piece of fish was pretty big and coleslaw was very unique- a vinegar base. A bustling place where you bus your own table.

So delicious! This was my first time eating here and I loved it! The flavors and breading of everything was so good it made me clap afterward. I had the fish tacos with a side of chips. So good! The interior is super cute, very on point with colors! They also have a bathroom, and there's plenty of street parking nearby. I think that the pricing is affordable, and either way, super delicious.

Salty Blue is a gem in Renton! The food quality is excellent and the overall aesthetic brings me back to summer days. We ordered the fish and chips, fish tacos and shrimp tacos and were impressed. Highly recommend you visit!

A different twist on Fish and Chips that’s for sure. Placed an order to go and it was ready super quick! Even when we got home the food was still very fresh and crispy, especially the Potato Chips. Loved the Chowder, House Fish and Chips, Fish Burger and Potato Chips. Will definitely be back to eat in person!

A popular fish and chips option near Old Town Renton. The large piece of fish had a thin crispy batter and the fries were nicely salted, thick, and hand cut. Lots of drink options... Even offering wine and beer (in a can or on draft). 10+ tables inside, and a handful outside with umbrellas. Small shared parking lot in front and plenty of street parking as this restaurant sits close to the edge of a neighborhood. Staff was friendly and felt like a popular spot for locals to grab takeout.

Summary: Amazing fish and chips, fries, potato patties, with a friendly owner and a nice quaint atmosphere. MUST GO! I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. We found it among many other seafood restaurants in the area and I'm glad we did. The portions are hardy and the price is fair. I highly recommend this resturant ESPECIALLY if you are coming to or from the airport and are looking for good fish and chips. They even have mexican coke. Lastly they do also have chicken strips which my partner and I both loved. Resturant seats about 40 people if I remember correctly and carries coke products for those who may want to know.

I just stopped in for the first time and I am blown away! The staff was super friendly and the food was excellent. The halibut is some of the best fish I have ever had. The batter is light, flavorful and has the perfect crispness to it. The chowder is incredible too with chunks of potato and fish. If you love fish and chips, you have to try Salty Blue.

A small restaurant located on 3rd Street and about a block west of Bank of America. The downside is, that it's on a one-way street but the nice part is there is a parking lot and street parking. We had their house fish n chips, Salty Burger, and two beers. The beers were a great selection. The burger is average and the fish was not fresh but had delicious crispy batter. The fries were nicely cooked with yummy flavors and we like the fact that they kept the skin on. I wouldn't drive from Seattle to eat here but if I m in the area and need a quick bite probably will stop in again.

Came here on a whim while in Renton. The fish and chips craving was fulfilled and didn’t disappoint. For $15, these petitions were big. I think we could have split 1 meal for 2 of us. The fries were freshly cut potatoes and perfect salted and the fish was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauces were homemade and delicious as well. A good deal for some quality fish and chips!

I have been to Salty Blue many times. But recently I went and got their newest burger, the Salty Deluxe Burger. Let me tell you, that garlic Mayo with the beef bacon just adds the perfect flavor combo to this burger. Now don't get me wrong, I love the Salty Blue Burger, but if you're looking for something savory and don't want seafood... this is the way to go! So delicious! Go try it out!

Probably the best fried fish I've had up here. Not sure if calling it "fish and chips" is heresy to purists, but regardless the flavors were great. Parking is a little awkward in this corner plaza but definitely worth squeezing into it to give this place a try. Not particularly cheap, but fish was cooked extremely well, fries were good, and sauces complemented the fish well. Chowder is more soupy than thick, but that seems to be the "proper" way of chowder. Chowder consistency preference - aside... great, tasty food.

Best fish and chips I have ever had! The fries "handcut" had great seasoning. I couldn't decide if I liked the potato cakes or fries more. The sauces tied them all together perfectly. The staff really care about quality.

Fish is fresh, fried to order, and a large portion. Calamari rings are the size of typical onion rings and chewy but not tough. Fries are thick-cut and tasty, but the potato cakes are the true winner of the sides. The dill tartar perfectly complements the fish (house sauce is good too), and the coleslaw brings nice acidity to the table, Definitely recommend dining in so you can get a drink to go with the meal, but the food is impressive for take out so that's still a great option. Quality and portions justify price. Staff friendly and professional. Already looking forward to the next visit!

Salty Blue is my new favorite place! It was the only place around that has grilled fish. It was the best fish I've tasted in a long time! There are other good places in Renton that serve fish, but it's all fried. I had the Barrumindi Australian Sea Bass. Three times already! It is so good and comes with hand-cut fries. I would definitely recommend this place. It's clean, the people are friendly, and there is outdoor seating. Love, love, love it!

Perfectly seasoned and all the dishes were fresh. It’s not the cheapest fish and chips but pretty reasonable for the good quality. Plus interesting selections of beer! Everyone working there were friendly as well.

Some of the best fish and chips you will have in all of Washington state! The picture here I decided to take after ordering because the food was so good it was worth going on here and actually leaving a review. People saying the food is pricey Makes me laugh because what do you expect to pay for really good food. You can have food that taste good, food that is cheap, and really good service. Unfortunately in the real world you only get to pick two. The owner opened the door for us as we arrived for the first time trying this place out, and the service continued to be excellent throughout our whole visit. He stayed open past closing time just so we could finish our meal and was very friendly and polite with good conversation. We will definitely be returning to this establishment and hope that people are able to get the word out and keep this place open as a locally owned amazing little hideaway food spot. I would definitely put their fish and chips and potato cakes against any other local spots that I have had.

Stopped by for lunch and it was good. I ordered fish and salad. The salad was a spring mix with lemon vinaigrette dressing. The battered was light and crispy without tasting greasy. The fish was soft and tender; not over-fried. Would come back again if I'm ever in the area.

The food is really delicious. It exceeded our expectations! We tried the fish and the chicken strips and gave both really high ratings. The potato cakes were a huge hit and I love the tartar sauce. The side salad was fresh and had a unique but good dressing. I'd say the chef knows what they're doing! I try new restaurants on the weekends and I'm so happy to have found this gem in Renton! Can't wait to take my other kid to try it. I tried the fish prepared by deep fry and will go back to also try it grilled as recommended. So if you're not into fried they hit the grilled option.

Heard about this little eatery from neighborhood app and decided to cone give it a try on this rainy Sat aftn. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and tastiness of the food here. Definitely one of the best fish tacos I've ever had, compatible to the ones I've had up in Alaska, fresh and moist. Their famed fish and chips didn't disappoint either, the fish was plenty moist and the batter was very light and crispy. The chowder was very good too, although I'd have preferred a bit thicker in consistency. Will definitely be coming back for more in future!!

My wife and I recently dined at Salty Blue, and we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of the establishment. The service was commendable, and while the food offerings were simple, they were delicious nonetheless. What stood out the most were the seafood dishes; the fish, calamari, and shrimps were exceptionally fresh, retaining no residual taste, which is often a concern with seafood. In summary, our experience at Salty Blue was enjoyable, marked by a tasty meal in a cozy setting.

My new favorite place for fish and chips! The thin and crispy batter on the fish, nice and hot meaty fish, and the chunky crisp fries. Absolutely delicious! Huge fan of the house chowder and coleslaw!
