This park is beautiful! Less crowded than Muir woods and for us easier to get to. Very informative, everyone offered tips or were there with information just when questions popped into your head. The visitor center has a lot of information also! And then there's the trees! During our walk I heard several times from our group "That's my favorite tree" "Oh now that's my favorite!" Highly recommend!

This was an easy 0.8 mile loop trail that begins in front of redwoods and takes you through the jungle. This is one of the most accessible trails I have seen till date, allowing us to enjoy the walk with our older parents. Very close to the Bay area. A must go, to see the tall redwoods.

A must visit in Henry Cowell state park. This trail is only about a mile. You can spot a lot of birds, squirrels here. The redwoods are in a loop starting from the visitor center. There are 15 trees marked by numbers in the loop. Some of them were affected by fires, but are still standing. You can duck into a tree towards the center, next to Fremont tree. Easy flat walk. Parking is $10.

Perfect hike for families. Start off at the educational nature center. Touch the fur of a skunk, coyote, bobcat, racoon. Check out different types of pine cones, etc. Lots of beautiful redwoods. We enjoyed walking into the honeymoon redwood.

I have come to this little loop many times and it's one of the best gems of the bay area. So close to the city life yet so far away. Serenity and beauty all around among old growth redwoods. While on this loop you'll see a sign for the river trail. Take that to the river, it will be only a couple of minutes of walking to reach the river

Recently walked this loop with my family and let me tell you, it was so much fun! The walk is a few miles long we be prepared to walk for an hour or so if you are with kiddos and tend to love at a slow pace, I do when I am taking photos! Halfway through the trail there is an opening that leads you to the river if you want to have a quick break to snap a few pictures. Beware the water is cold and unsteady so tread carefully at all times!

Wonderful short (<1 mile) loop with a ton of interesting trees to see, from very tall to very wide to ones with holes you can go into. You might even see a banana slug hiding in the leaves!

It’s a really nice, short trail. If you want to see some red woods but don’t have a lot of time this is the right choice. You can also do longer trails, if you want. Everything was clean and nice. 10$ parking fee.

😐 If you are a family with lots of screaming kids and off-leash dogs, who love to camp right next to others, you’ll love this place. It is in a beautiful location next to Henry Cowell SP and amongst the redwoods. But that is about all I would recommend. The bathrooms are gross and showers near us not...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Very cool place to visit. Took a steam train ride up the mountain to look at the redwoods. The conductor was very informative and provided a few laughs. Train was a little bumpy as expected since it was over 100 years old. Great experience.
