Food and drinks are so spot on! Delicious! Atmosphere is very cool. It's so worth any drive that you need to make to get here

I hate to slam a small joint like this, but I just did not have a good experience. I ordered queso as an appetizer and then the fajita steak enchiladas for my meal. The queso was basically concession stand nacho cheese, yet it was surprisingly the best thing I had there other than my coke. If you like salsa, this isn’t the place. It comes in bottle and you’re supposed to squirt it into a small bowl. It’s very watery and lacks flavor. As for the the main meal: something in the enchiladas tasted like they were freezer bit and it was the most dominant flavor, which wasn’t great. The rice was rather bland, and the beans had a cardboard taste to them. I wasn’t able to finish my meal. Maybe I came on a bad day. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I would normally give a place a second chance, but this experience was just so lack luster that I don’t think I could talk myself into trying it again. Salsa and enchiladas are staples, and they’re usually what a lot of people base their opinion on when they choose their favorite Mexican restaurants, and this place just fell flat with both of those items. I’m sorry, just my honest review.

We took our friends out to dinner, and the the waitress was sweet but they brought me the wrong dinner twice! And then after that, the waitress basically disappeared for almost an hour! We had to go ask her for the check. The food was not good either. We normally love Mexican... This was a disappointment. 😞

The food was good and our waitress was great but you should be aware they charge you for the to-go- containers for each one. You are also charged 4% service for using your credit card. I guess u can do this when you are a tourist town and you probably willnot be back. . I did read other reviews and it does take a long time to get your food.

The servers were very nice and attentive but the place is falling apart and the food and drinks were not good... I ordered the biggest margarita they had and I don't think there was a drop of alcohol in it but I sure did pay A LOT for it. It was SUPER sweet and tasted like nothing but pure sugar. The food was VERY greasy and nothing had any taste to it. Everything came from a can. There is nothing authentic about this place and it was just bad. 👎

Have been here many times. The food is always great. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait but it's worth it for hot and fresh cooked meals. Only thing that takes anything away is the seats are nearly all old and torn up which is uncomfortable if you are wearing shorts, and there's always times if big dusty buildup all around the ceiling. Not a big deal but it doesn't look clean. Won't stop me from coming here every time I visit Port Lavaca though. Highly recommend the stuffed avocado

I've been going here for years. Food is generally consistent, especially when Jackie is the waitress. I always get Chipotle Chicken with extra veggies. They could put a little $ and effort into the interior. Otherwise, all good.

Came into Rockport to fish and wanted to try some Mexican food here. Service wasn’t the best but not bad. We asked for limes for our tea when we got our drinks but they didn’t bring them until we got our meal. Overall the dinner didn’t have such a great taste, I ordered the cheese enchiladas and had too much cheese and were very oily. The rice didn’t have much flavor. Tacos were $4 each and plate prices were between $14-$16. We were charged almost $4 for using a debit card. They charge for every to-go box and to-go cup and it wasn’t cheap. Overall not a good experience and want to give it a second chance but don’t see it being different next time.

We went here for my birthday. I was super excited to see the authentic dishes on the menu. The selection was amazing, both the red and green salsas were amazing. Unfortunately, due to our party size, I'm assuming tipping was not optional as the service was horrible. I think we saw the waitress maybe 4 times. To take our order, bring us chips, deliver our order, and one other time when she brought a few of us a single drink refill. The rest had to do without any refills and when we finally found her sitting at a table in another part of the restaurant and asked for a check, she dismissively told us to just go to the front counter and they would tell us what we owed. A real negative part of what would have been an amazing visit.

Its pretty okay, we've been here a couple times and overall it's average. The food is okay and the atmosphere is good I like the paintings. Customer service is lacking and it seems to take forever for them to even help you or refill your drink. Some of the booths are also in desperate need of repair. Lots of tears with the foam falling out.

Service was absolutely terrible, waited forever to get menus just to be left with no drink or chips for 20 mins.(they where not packed) food was not even decent for the $50 we spent. Overall worst Mexican I’ve ever had.

Food is always great, our waitress is always on point. And the price for the amount of food is always great. Only downside is...... No Lime's for the drinks!!! What type of owner doesn't buy limes for the customers because he thinks the cost are to high! Com'on Man! You can buy them wholesale from your local HEB and get a discount! Oh and chill you Tequila. Warm tequila sucks when your trying to take shots. Otherwise, no regrets.

I haven’t been to this restaurant since Covid and boy has it changed for the better. All new decor great looking bar ample choices on the menu maybe too many. Some vegetarian options. However the refried beans contain lard. All the dishes were very large portions. We did end up taking home a whole second meal with our leftovers which is nice. Staff was friendly and attentive.

The food was hot and tasty. However, it did take a while to get the whole meal. We received our fajitas before our rice, beans, and tortillas, so it was kinda weird. All in all, it was decent, our waitress was helping between different tables other workers could have done better.

Perfect Margaritas every time. Make sure to not fill up on chips and hot sauce because the menu items are more diverse than other Mexican restaurants. Try one of the stuffed avocados, you won’t be disappointed. I had the shrimp stuffed avocado this trip and took a Togo plate home because the plate is plentiful. The service is great, too.

This restaurant has a chill vibe, with friendly service & delicious food. Classic tex-mex choices abound, and all that we've tried have hit the spot! The chips & salsa are hard to stop eating...so work hard to control yourself. You can tell the owner cares about his business! Now if I could just get him to give me that salsa recipe...

This was our second time here and the food was again great. The wings were juicy and nicely seasoned, the burgers nice and messy and the baked potato perfectly baked. The downside(not really) was the same server is much too timid and seems to be new, but with a little time I'm sure she will be great

Food was delicious. Mango margarita with tajin was amazing and staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Will definitely stop again.

Great place to sit down & have a meal. Asked the owner (Jimmy) for some special treatment on the margaritas & he hooked it up!!! Best place ever! Where else can you ask for the owner by name & get what you want when you ask him for it? Nowhere! That's where. Just here

Picked up beef fajita quesadillas for lunch a couple of days ago and they were very good so I returned for same order on today. Food today tasted nowhere near the way it tasted a couple of days ago. The beef fajita meat is shredded today and it doesn't taste nor look like beef fajita meat at all. I will not be returning. 😡

This is a nice little place. There is nothing fancy about it and that is half the charm. The chips were good the salsa was amazing. The food was good and fairly priced. The service was relaxed. That is to say, it was not fast, but not in a bad way. The staff was attentive and took care of everything but you never felt like you were being rushed, or that they were being rushed. It was easy to just sit down, relax and have good food and conversation.
