Nice place to bring the family and relax. Very shallow water where small kids can play without too much worry. Bathrooms and showers on site. Camping spots available to stay overnight.

This is one of those lesser know spots, and is for sure a hidden gem. It is very clean, the beach is not rocky, there are fresh water showers, 2 parks for the kids... and a splash pad. The very reasonable entrance fee ($5 at time of writing) is well worth it. When ever we need a quick Texas beach trip this is always on the top of the list

Good place for a family. Kids can go swimming on a sandy beach on one side, while Dad can fish off the pier on the other. Close proximity to Walmart if you forget anything, and restaurants nearby. 5 bucks a vehicle. It closes at six pm though. Restrooms here, open rinse showers. There are about a dozen tables/umbrellas but they get occupied quick so bring your own for shade. All in all a good place if you are in the area.

Had we stayed this would've been a five star review. HOWEVER, contrary to online description given, PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED anywhere but the grass. So mutch for the family trip...

I guess as far as the actual beach itself is concerned it's perfectly fine. Lots of picnic areas and then it has the tree umbrellas placed around the beach and it looks nice. However, if you just want to swim in the ocean and you don't have kids with you, it kind of sucks. The water is barely 2 feet deep even if you go out a LONG ways. Kind of a let down really.

Quiet, shallow, small waves. $5 to get in for the day. Picnic tables and umbrellas available. Kids playground. (Be careful for stickerburrs!) And splash pad for the littles. Places to fish and a nice walking area. Wear shoes. Outside showers to rinse off. Utilitarian bathrooms with no shower or changing area. Wal-Mart close by and good Whataburger down the road.

Awesome beach with covered picnic tables and shade umbrellas. Has pier for fishing and a boardwalk. Also has playgrounds. The only downside is that you cannot drive onto the beach. IT IS HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE! There is a sidewalk from the parking lot to the water that connects to a picnic table.

Lighthouse Beach is perfect for people who fish and beach goers. Awesome playground and swimming pad for the kiddos! Clean restrooms and grounds. Bird sanctuary area is pretty nice, beautiful in the morning and absolutely stunning as the sun is setting! Fishers have fishing license on hand ( they do random checks on pier) my husbands only complaint is the Rv sewer waste line sticks up to high, hard to drain which isn’t a deal breaker. Shout out to Manager Jennifer excellent customer service and hostess!

Its a nice little area . Has a large covered area with picnic tables and bbq pits to grill if you want. There was a Volleyball area but be careful with sticker patches. I saw a cute Splash pad for kids with a beach theme. The beach is very clean with palm trees, little covered areas that have grass skirt decorations to provide shade from the sun. There is a restroom area nearby for men and women. Also a large playground on the beach for kids to have fun

This place got messed up when hurricane Harvey came through, but they have fixed it up even nicer than before hand.

Those who gave 5 stars to this place have no idea what a real beach is. Place is awful, the splash pad turns on for one minute every one hundred years, water is below your knees so you can't swim, no waves. What a HUGE disappointment 😞

Best beach close to Houston! Water is great and clean and it's got bathrooms and showers on site too :) I plan to come back again soon.

Very cool little beach. There’s a nice long boardwalk as part of a nature trail with a little viewing tower, lots of campsites, and a fishing pier

Beach was great and clean. Brought our dog kept on a leash and of-course picked up after her.

Beautiful views from the beach. Very calm and quiet here, while was visiting. Please note I was here on first week of October and it was not busy at all.

My family and I came here to view the eclipse it's a decent little beach you have to watch out for less than desirable people roaming around the parking lot but that's not under their control but overall a nice place to hang out
