This is probably the best Ethiopian restaurant I have ever tried. The atmosphere was fantastic. Very authentic with amazing art and decor. The place was lively and the staff were absolutely wonderful and sweet. The food was simply incredible. We started with the lentil samosas which were incredible by themselves but the salsa was amazing too. For our entree we order the veggie supreme combo, and one extra dish of lentil which I can not remember the name now. Every single dish was incredible! My favorite was the lentils and the cabbage, but every single one was incredible by itself. The injera was delicious too, and they offered more as well. It was not cheap, but the portion were massive and we left absolutely stuffed. You absolutely get your moneys worth, both in portion and in flavor. I can not recommend this place enough.

The food here is fantastic. I lived in DC for over a decade where Ethiopian food is a staple and this restaurant could rival any of them. If there are two of you and you are hungry, get the vegetarian sampler and a meat dish. We got the lamb and it was excellent. The restaurant also has a cozy family feel to it, Chris who took care of us was super friendly and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

AMAZING FOOD!! First time eating Ethiopian food, and it did not disappoint at all. The employees were very nice, made jokes, explained how to properly eat the food, all in all it was an amazing experience. I definitely recommend this place.

What a hidden gem. Don’t let the strip mall or road construction keep you from enjoying great Ethiopian food. They don’t have a buffet anymore but sharing the sample platter is more than filling. It gave us a sampling of the 5 first vegetarian dishes plus salad. The red lentils and split peas were awesome. Great service too and reasonably priced.

This was my first time ever having Ethiopian food. I got to say, it was phenomenal! Don’t come here looking for a quick bite. Come here when you can relax for an hour and enjoy the experience! The spiced iced tea and traditional coffee were quite good!

Slow service maybe because there was one staff covering lunch time. She was rude when I reminded her about the mediocre tasting Baklava after waiting for 20 minutes. The food was okay., tables, chairs, high chairs, high chair belts were all greasy and sticky, missing or broken buckles. I wouldn’t have my son sit in it again, I wouldn’t visit here again. Their Injera bread was soft and good. The Ethiopian beer collection were decent.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, we got the tomato salad and yemisir wot. It was delicious! Excellent vegetarian options. The service was super friendly. I’d highly recommend bringing cash for now though because their system was malfunctioning today.

This is a regular place we visit to indulge in Ethiopian food at least once a month . We felt the standards have dipped this time . The injera was a bit rough and not soft like previous visits . The vegetarian combo was good and tasted as good as always . The doro wot sauce was good but felt that chicken had a raw taste that was very strong . That might not have been very noticeable with soft injera but it was evident when we ate with the rough injera that it is not how it used to taste like before . Not sure if this is a one time thing but might go there one more time to make sure . There aren’t many Ethiopian places to eat around Austin and this one used to be a staple for us, would be disappointed if this dip in quality is a permanent thing.

Really enjoyed this place and its food. Amazing experience of communal eating from a single large plate. We got the ultimate combo vegetarian. I really liked the ambience, especially the music, art and decor at this place. Felt like we were trasported to ethiopia. Went on a weekday for lunch, it wasn’t too crowded and we really liked it Food was exceptional and we ate way too much because it was very tasty. Really liked their hot tea, very flavorful and helped digest the huge meal we ate.

The decor and atmosphere is unique and cozy. Really tasty food! Only thing that could be improved is the temperature of the dish. I wish the bread and some of the veggies were warm.

What a great experience last week. Had to make a quick decision and decided to try Ethiopian food for the first time. Taste of Ethiopia was delicious. I loved eating with my fingers and the injera and the food was well seasoned and plentiful. We had one vegetarian with us that had the lentils and the carnivores are lamb, chicken and beef and we shared. The food was not the start of the visit, however, as the service was amazing and we had several visits that explained the food and some of their culture. We finished the meal of with coffee and I will return for coffee soon. Delicious.

This is truly a hidden gem. Never been to a Ethiopian restaurant before and this restaurant felt good. The ambiance was good looks traditionally designed I guess with all bamboo sticks and baskets. The food was good and tasty didn’t expect that when we went in but was good. The staff was very friendly and explained about the dish clearly. Will definitely visit again. The chicken dish was good.

Great food and at least to right now (630pm) it's not packed. The vegetarian selection is super tasty and packed with new flavors but so is their non vegetarian😋. Been here several times and I'm never disappointed. I had to post the second picture, it's a must if you like light, crisp but tasty grown-up drinks 🍻

For my first time trying Ethiopian food, the experience was great. They were super sweet and our waiter explained how to eat (sharing is love). I’m inspired to try other Ethiopian dishes now. Thanks so much for the great experience! Buy

This has been a favorite place for Ethiopian food for so many years now, and the food is still as delicious as ever. My favorite is the ultimate veggie combo. During lunchtime, there's a buffet of mostly vegetarian items. At dinnertime, you can order anything off the menu to share family style and eat with your hands using injera bread. The family that owns this place is very sweet and helpful. I'm always surprised and grateful that it's not busier.

Ate here with some friends last night. I'd eaten at a couple of Ethiopian spots before, but came because my friends has never tried Ethiopian food before. I will say the experience was amazing from beginning to end. Kudos to the gentleman that served us. He was patient and answered the plethora of questions that we had. Also, the food was banging! Best I've ever had. Lastly, the owner.. they call her Auntie was a treat. You could tell she cares about her customers and their experience. 10/10 I highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place! I've been eating here since probably 2006 or so. The owner is a beautiful, wonderful woman who is always friendly. The staff is always quick and friendly as well. I love the vegetarian combo with the eggplant! The lentils and collard greens are so delicious!

The food was beyond! So very very good. LOVE the veg options. And the Ethiopian beers! We had the ultimate veg sampler and it is huge. We ate until we thought we may pop and still had quite a bit left. Definitely enough for two, we took the leftovers home and fried them up with a tofu scramble (as suggested by our server!) and had another meal out of it! Baklava was delish, really didn’t have room for it but I’m glad we squeezed it in. Coffee was also superb. Perfect meal! The service was so wonderful, such friendly kind folks working here. Incredibly helpful, this was our first time having Ethiopian. But definitely not the last!! What a great place!!
