This
is
my
local
cafe
on
the
way
home
from
work.
I
popped
in
after
a
night
shift.
I
was
on
the
phone
to
my
boyfriend.
When
I
walked
in
I
was
greeted
with
a
frown
from
all
3
of
ladies
(if
you
can
call
them
that).
I
ordered
my
food
and
paid
the
lady,
who
then
smacked
my
change
in
my
hand
without
even
as
much
as
a
'thanks'.
So
I
carried
on
my
conversation
on
the
phone
as
I
started
to
feel
anxious.
I'm
looking
around
and
noticed
one
of
the
ladies
dramaticly
stretching
out
and
smacking
this
huge
sign.
When
she
noticed
I
was
looking
she
quickly
moved
away
and
carried
on
whatever
she
was
doing.
I
then
read
the
sign
which
said
"Please
don't
feel
offended
if
we
do
not
serve
whilst
on
the
phone".
That's
when
I
realised
that's
why
she
was
so
rude
to
me.
I
am
a
very
anxious
person
and
I
feel
safe
when
I
am
on
the
phone.
I
know
that
if
anything
was
to
happen
to
me,
who
ever
I
was
speaking
to
would
know.
My
thats
the
way
I
deal
with
my
anxiety.
When
my
food
was
ready
the
young
girl
wrapped
my
food
up,
slammed
in
it
on
the
counter
and
says
"There
you
go"
and
walked
away.
I
wasn't
offered
sauce
or
received
a
'thank
you'.
Overall,
I
think
they
all
need
to
realise
that
being
on
the
phone
may
be
someone's
comfort
zone.
Maybe
I
could
of
been
comforting
someone
else.
May
have
an
emergency
or
work.
It
might
of
been
an
important
phone
call.
To
treat
someone
so
rude
because
they're
on
their
phone
in
this
day
of
age,
is
appalling.
I
understand
if
they
find
it
rude
but
they
need
to
be
aware
of
people's
circumstances.
I
don't
feel
like
I
can
walk
back
in
there
again
after
today.
Unfortunately,
this
is
not
the
first
time
I've
been
treated
rudely.
