Everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful for a last-minute appointment. Dr. Bowers quickly figured out the issue I was having with a tooth and even resolved a long-standing issue with my bite from a previous filling he noticed without me pointing it out. The service overall from the initial phone call to the end of the appointment was exemplary.

What a great dental practice, what a great patient experience, and what a great group of people. I rarely feel the need to write reviews, but when you have truly extraordinary service, you want to say something about it. From the moment I initiated contact, the reception staff treated me kindly and politely over the phone and email. Jess was even considerate enough to call me back a day later when they had a slot open up that better fit my schedule. I immediately felt comfortable when I arrived at the office, which is located in a beautiful, spacious red brick row home, with strong wood and leather furniture and oil-on-canvas artwork depicting scenes from the early 20th century. Dr. Langley Bowers was friendly, considerate, knowledgeable, and professional, and he took the time to have a real conversation with me about my dental care. It was comprehensive, he was responsive to my questions, and I learned quite a bit. Everyone took the time to get to know me and make me feel comfortable, from the technician who took my x-rays to the dental hygienist who gave me an excellent cleaning, we even shared a few good laughs. It's not often that you can find a business with people who so obviously value their work, and truly care about the people they serve. I had a spectacular experience, and had plenty of reasons to leave with a smile on my face.

I have been going to Dr. Bowers for most of my 18 years in DC. I have a lot of dental anxiety and really appreciate how patient and kind Dr. Bowers and his team are, they work really hard to put me at ease, stopping frequently during procedures (like cavity fillings) to check in and make sure I am doing OK, offering breaks if I need them. And the hand painted murals on the ceilings of every room, the mellow jazz, have always been some of my features of Dr. Bowers' practice!

I came in to get a second opinion on a crown I was getting replaced at a different dentist. The office staff was able to work me into the schedule and Dr. Bowers talked me through my options. After that visit, I switched all my dental care to them and I have been very happy with it.

Even though I no longer live in DC, I always try to book a cleaning and check-up with East Capitol Dental when I am in DC. They are thorough, careful and helpful. Office staff, dentists and techs all excellent and friendly.

Every part of the experience here was great. Friendly people, lots of time with the dentist himself, a very good cleaning by a kind hygienist, and beautiful art to look at. They are also thoughtful about ways to make dental-sensitive folks more comfortable. Highly recommended!

Dr. Bowers and staff are wonderful as always. I really appreciated Dr. Bowers (Langley) taking so much time to explain the importance of seeing a periodontist. I’ve been told this in the past but because he showed me the x-rays and explained the consequences, I’ve decided to make it a priority.
