This coffee shop is a unique gem in the heart of Manhattan. Few steps away from the huge B&H shop for the cameras aficionado. Always super fresh breakfasts and lunches, a good variety of exquisite plates. Perfect for a brunch too. High quality ingredients and tasteful coffee. Warm environment and lovely people will welcome you in this special modern and clean designed venue. Highly recommended for families as well. Very reasonable prices for being such a cool place. Not far from the Empire State Building and the Vessel. Good for take away and delivery.

Very warm and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere for a brunch with friends or family. Food was tasty, plates were colored and well presented, the chef is doing a great job with very reasonable prices. Pastries were excellent too. We really enjoyed our experience and will surely come back!

Been wanting to try this place for a while, nice spot near Penn station. Got the avocado toast with egg and my friend got the whipped ricotta toast with zatar honey which was delicious. I loved both toasts and the lattes but it was $22+ for a toast with egg that hurt a little bit…

A wonderful place to eat. We came here a few times for breakfast. Never disappointed. The staff are brilliant. Attentive, competent and the service was 'on point'. We managed to seat a family of 5 with no major problems but is does get busy, so expect a short wait. It is worth it and the place has a wonderful vibe about it. For us our favourite place in NYC for breakfast! The food is freshly prepared, great quality and the coffee is 👌🏻 Super clean. Priced well. Highly recommended, don't think..... Just go! PCB ✌🏻

Absolutely delicious food! I had the aubergine sandwich with a cappuccino and my partner had a Tuna sandwich with as cappuccino. Both were excellent. The aubergine was perfectly cooked where it brought out the umami flavors of the vegetable and nothing beats slices of a crispy soft sourdough bread. Ingredients were of high quality. There was a longer wait than we were lead to believe but the rest of the service was excellent. One of us had an appointment to go to, so I wish they were more up front about the wait time.

The mornings on weekdays are quite busy here. We ordered the Shakshuka toast and the Avocado toast. Given the portion size, it does seem a bit pricey. The quality was okay. There's a note requesting not stay for an extended period due to limited space. We changed our order a few times, but the staff was polite and accommodating. Depending on where you seated, you might also have to deal with direct sunlight. Only credit cards are accepted.

Great Australian cafe, with fresh food and lots of options for people with dietary restrictions. My husband and I are DF and GF. I ordered the scrambled eggs with a side of avocado on GF toast. The team at the cafe were friendly and quite speedy in their service. Cafe was light and airy and had a cool vibe. Would recommend for brunch!

It was the best food we ate. Especially there is an Austrian man who works there, I don't remember his name, he does his job very well. The place for coffee lovers who know their taste.

Went there yesterday and came back for more this morning. Best place for breakfast honestly, great food and coffee for a fair price. The vibe is soo chill. It is clean and the service is quick, too. Strongly recommend! My advice - try the shakshuka or ricotta/zatar toast - they will blow your mind.

Ordered my usual oat milk cold brew and it blew my mind! I felt like it was dark roasted cold brew, which suits my taste. Tried the banana bread and it was so yum, moist and wholesome. They also have lunch menu and it is kinda packed during lunch. Would def come back and try it soon

Amazing venue with super friendly staff and extremely tasteful food! We stayed in the Crown Plaza HY36 and love to get a healthy breakfast outside the hotel. We loved it! From the croissant to the granola bowl but the cherry on the pie is the avocado toast! Highly recommend. We definitely will go back to this place when we visit NYC again in the future. You guys doing a great job.

By far THE BEST CAFE IN NYC! Looking for a nice place to brunch, we stumbled across the In Common café as it was located near our hotel. And let me tell you: it has been the best find during our stay in NYC! The location is amazing, food is delicious and staff, as well as the owner, are always super friendly and warm-hearted - overall 10/10! We thank Tass and his team for the amazing work and dedication. Greetings from Italy!

Came in at 10:20am for a Sunday brunch -- the place was packed full. Thankfully I only had to wait about 4-5 minutes before I could sit down at my table. While I was standing waiting for a table, the host was already showing me the menu and taking my orders -- unusual, but, given how busy the cafe was, totally made sense to me. In fact I preferred it. I had the avocado toast, with two added eggs. Overall it was good. The runny eggs were nice. I did have to add some salt, but overall a nice brunch. I noticed 3-4 other guests also had the avocado toast -- probably a popular choice here. I finished 15 minutes after sitting down, by 10:40am, including the matcha latte. The host remarked to me, "my kind of breakfast." Not 100% sure what he meant, but I suspected he was happy to see me finish quickly 😄 because there more guests waiting for a table.

Delicious food and a simple menu. The coffee is really good. Atmosphere is like vintage 1920s vibe. The place is small so come early or you will wait. Seating is optimized for 2 people but they can do groups of 4 pretty comfortably. Any more than 4 you will wait awhile for a seat since they seem popular. Owner was very nice and staff were great as well. During our time in nyc we went 3 times for coffee with 2 of those being breakfast. The flavors of the food are so good, i love the different fancy toast options. Definitely a good spot for breakfast and coffee or chai

What a lovely breakfast place in the heart of NYC. Quite small place but there is a seating area outside also. We waited on the line maybe 5mins! Super fast service and helpful staff. Delicious food to start the day 💪🏻 we had a bagel and avocado toast and a couple coffees $75 incl tips.

Let’s start with the atmosphere- the design of the place is so unique, cozy, cool and beautiful. Super Instagram vibe. The staff were ok, not 5 stars. The coffee had a unique interesting flavor which I really enjoyed. The rest of what we ordered was good. Bathroom was clean I’m not sure if I’ll come back though. It was nice place, not a must to go place

A friend found this place and while it’s quite small inside, they run the operation VERY well. We were seated right away and the waitress was on it. Excellent coffee and the avocado toast was definitely worth the cost. Really delicious and filling. We stayed for an hour and no one rushed us, they made us feel really welcomed and appreciated. Excellent spot if you’re in the area!

I visited In Common cafe on a busy Saturday afternoon and was impressed with their coffee selection. However, the service was disappointing. We were asked to wait for 30+ minutes before being seated, and after we ordered our coffees, we were suddenly asked if we were going to have lunch. The server then informed us that we had only 30 minutes to finish our drinks before we had to leave. This left us feeling rushed and unwelcome, despite the great coffee. The food was good, but the service was average.

Superb breakfast and coffee. Friendly, warm, expat Aussie vibe, in a sunny clean mock-industrial space. Many of the Australian-bred cafes in the U.S. have degenerated to generic prefab food but In Common’s breakfast was all bespoke and delicious. I appreciated having good sourdough toast, and perfect folded scrambled eggs. The best long black I’ve had in NYC.

You will struggle to find a better coffee place in NYC. This spot has amazing quality produce, the breakfast options are delicious, and the coffee is perfection. Nice vibe and bustling throughout the day. Definitely worth a visit if you want high quality breakfast and food. Thanks for the service, In Common NYC team

Great breakfast place in the middle of New York. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Loved the breakfast. I got avocado toast with egg and it was delicious. Great quality sourdough.

Highly recommended. Staff is very nice and the food too. Travelled all my way from Paris to go there and it did not disappoint! Congats guys, this place should be a staple in your weekly brunch routine.

Be aware that they have no laptop policy. I was hoping to get some work done before my order came out but wasn't able to do that. The avocado toast was good. The service was ok. The server who took my order seemed bothered to be there.

Great coffee. Wonderful Café run by Australian cousins. Staff is very friendly and knows how to make a great cup of espresso, cappuchino, or latte. Their Chai latte is another fan favorite. If you're in Hell's Kitchen and you're in the mood for coffee, this is the place to go. They also have excellent pastries and tasty breakfast, lunch, and brunch plates.

Another awesome Aussie inspired breakfast / brunch place in Manhattan, arguably the best one. Food quality is top notch, service is friendly, prices are very fair for the quality, and the flat white is on point. The avocado toast is easily the best one I've ever had, with toast that's actually thick enough it won't fall apart on you but still airy and light, with a healthy serving of avo. Make sure to get it with the egg!

My favorite place in NYC for breakfast. The food is such high quality, everything you order is made to perfection and tastes really well. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and make everything fresh. Service is fast, staff very friendly. Space is a bit tight but that is not something they can really change i think.

Great taste and harmonious decoration. We ordered Ricotta toast and Shakshuka. I don’t really eat goat cheese but this pairing with the tomatoes is so good that I ate it all. There isn’t much on the coffee menu, no specials or anything, so that’s kind of a let down.

In Common NYC Cafe is terrific place for a quick breakfast in NY center. Their coffee is exceptional, their breakfast menu is delicious. We tried parfait, shakshuka sandwich, and they were a good size and hi quality. I highly recommend this place!

I visited Manhattan for business and came in for breakfast a few times. Amazing staff! I want to recognize Tass and Jacob for being such amazing servers. The customer service is top tier and the food is delicious and fresh. If you’re in Manhattan, I highly recommend stopping here for not only the food, but the experience.

🚨 new favorite spot 🚨 This place is absolute *chef’s kiss*. From the food to the vibes to the insanely friendly owner, this spot has it all to become your new fave neighborhood joint. The avo toast is served on a thick, lovely piece of sourdough bread with some of the most generous servings of avocado you’ve ever seen. The chicken parmie??? Are you kidding?? Has flavor so powerful it’ll haunt you in your dreams. And their classic yogurt with berries and granola is so simple and good, it makes you wonder why other places can’t do it like that. Coffee is strong and delicious. And the sunlight through the windows provides a lovely aesthetic for all your Instagram needs.

This coffee shop sports a clean modern interior and offers old-world coffee craft. Attentive service. Excellent coffee. If you're visiting NYC, add a visit to In Commons to your itinerary (note:closed on Saturday and Sunday). If you're local, add this as a stop in your morning routine. The great coffee and positive energy will put a smile on your face.

In Common NYC is super popular during the weekends so I recommend going there early. We got outdoor seating which is pretty nice with the current weather. Highly recommend getting the granola bowl or the ricotta toast. Both are really good. My friend also loves her cappuccino. But just an fyi, I spend around $28 for granola and an iced latte. With tips and tax that’s just how the price is,but for those like me that just moved from out of NYC, prepare to spend around $20-$30.

Great find my my wife, we popped in for breakfast on a Thursday morning. Firstly the coffee was excellent, large latte that had great flavour and milk texture. I then had a breakfast bagel whilst my wife had Eggs on gluten free bread. The food was great and set us up perfectly for our day of exploring Manhattan.

Couldn’t rate this place more - have recommended it to everyone! The coffee is some of the best in NYC and the food was incredible. Finally, the service was impeccable and Tass was so friendly and welcoming. He’s done such an amazing job of his cafe and you can see this in how popular it is! Definitely worth the wait time though

Absolutely awesome place to have a relaxed and high quality breakfast. Wife and I stopped in on a Friday morning, had zero problems getting seated and their espresso is amazing! Also, the ricotta toast is so unique.
