Stopped in for lunch and ordered their char-broiled cheeseburger. I've been to Portillo's in the Chicago area (and Riverside, CA) before and it's cool to walk in and have the Chicago feel going. Cheeseburger was awesome. Fresh ingredients. Fries were hot and crispy. I'll be back!

Here, you can get quality sandwiches! Portillo’s is a chain restaurant that’s known for Italian beef and chocolate cake. The interior has good theming, and has a good vibe. However, the floors and tables were dirty. The service is good, and delivered our food in a timely manner. The food here has always been great. The chili dog and the Italian beef croissant all had very good flavor & texture. The fries in cheese dip is excellent, and adds a lot to the flavor and texture. The onion rings also had a strong flavor. The chocolate cake is a great dessert, and is recommended to take home. Overall, Portillos is still good, but they need to work on cleanliness.

Never thought traveling to Florida I would find a Chicago staple!! Had to stop haven't had a Portillos beef is some time! Well it didn't disappoint, just my suggestion get the combination beef and sausage with peppers (I prefer hot) Mozzarella and dipped, it is a mess to eat but it is soooooo good!!! Stop eat and get that Chicago flavor again!

This was the first time I had been to Portillo's in Brandon. I really wasn't sure what to get. When you go, you need to know everything is separate on the menu. You purchase your drink, fries, and the main course separate. I got a polish sausage, fries, and a drink, and my friend got the same along with a Chili Dog. I think I would have preferred the Chili Dog. The polish sausage was good... but the Chili Dog looked better. I'm sure at some point I'll try it again.

The food was ok. Wasn't busy. I ordered the #5 Italian beef and sausage. The bread was soggy. Beef wasn't hot, just blah. The sausage was burnt and tasted burnt. I use to frequent this location when it first opened years ago and it was great. Today = Not the Portillo's I remember.

Who doesn't love Portillo's??? Nice to have a little bit of Chicago burns in the Tampa area. While we are not from the Windy, I spent a lot of time working in Chicago and Joliet with my last company. Portillo's was always nearby for those lunchtime quick fixes. The debate will go on for ever as to who has the best Chicago style hot dog and who has the best Italian Beef sandwiches in Chicago. I have tried so many of them and they all have different levels of likes and dislikes for me. But overall, Portillo's seems to reach a happy middle ground for me. The Dog is good and has all the correct elements. The beef is good as well. Good seasonings and tender as always. Love the krinkle cut fries too. Occasionally we will splurge on a cake shake as well. What I did not realize is that we have been visiting this location for the past 5 years and had not posted a review. As a foodie, I sincerely apologize for that. I will upload pics from previous visits today to help make up for lost time. Always clean and staff is always friendly. Fair warning, this place can get really busy. If you have been to a Portillo's in Chicago, it is no different down here. That says a lot for the chain! Nice job!

Fun place to get some good old fashioned food. Ordering was easy and the decor was neat to check out while waiting for our food. Burger and onion rings were delicious. Next time I will try one of their dogs and a dessert for sure.

First time at Portillo but not my last. Enjoyed the food burger was just right! Probably the crispiest onion rings i've ever had. Decor is pretty awesome super nostalgic. Staff was friendly and checked in a few times to make sure we weren't missing anything else. Simple ordering process as you order at the counter and pick up on the opposite side. Sit your self in first available table which there are plenty of.

Were do I start been riding by this place for 6yrs and finally dined in.for a pre fathers meal..hot dogs were awesome bite with a snap cooked to perfection definitely will be back only thing missing was a beach front view hats off to the MGR ..he made us feel right at home..if you are in the area I recommend you try this place you will be satisfied... again keep up the good work...

Plant based hot dogs (Chicago style with everything on it) was delicious!!! Flavorful hot dog (not spicy) with a soft thin bun which did not rip while eating it!! $4.50 for the hot dogs Fries are so-so. Nothing special for me. Nice sit down seating area- cute decor inside!

Portillo’s was clean and the staff were very friendly. The salad was good with the exception of soggy cucumbers. We ordered three hot dogs. They were all good but the outer skin was tough and difficult to chew. The French fries were not crisp but that is just a personal preference. The music was nice and the table set up was cute and provided sufficient spacing to feel less crowded. Overall the food was fine but this will not be somewhere we return to frequently. It was an interesting dining experience.

We heard about this place thru YouTube. The famous "chocolate cake shake" brought us here and we tried the beef and cheese croissant sandwich and the Italian beef with sweet peppers w/extra gravy and some cheese fries. The parking is plentiful and the store is pretty big with lots of seating. I was happy to see the pleasant demeanor of the employees and a man named ALLEN spoke with us and made our visit entertaining.

Glad we stopped on our way back from Tampa! Awesome place, cool decor and nice atmosphere! And the staff was great, food was so delicious I wanted to try everything on the menu, can't wait to go back!

in the area for 2 days for work purposes, I stopping here tonight for a quick bite to eat. Over all, everything was good especially the beef sandwich. The only set back was the time in which I had to wait for the food, with not a lot of fellow customers in line. But overall everything was good and I would go there again if I'm ever in this area.

All hail the king of Chilli dogs! So darn good. Not a bad item on the menu. Nothing compares to Portillos. Messy but so yummy. When in Tampa, stop by and grub Chicago style!!!

I was to hungry and inpatient to take a picture of my ohhhh so yummy Italian beef and fries. Great friendly service. Quick and supper ridiculously yummy sandwich!! We need more of these in Florida. They're all an hour away but worth the ride!!!

CHOCOLATE CAKE SHAKES!! BEST HOT DOGS TOO!! Portillos was part of fluffy, the comedians joke. About the whole slice of cake being blending with ice cream. It is so creamy, and you get hits of chocolate frosting and creamy ice cream and little cake pr Pieces all at once. It is so filling to also the price is so freaking great! 4.79 a large :) lasted me and husband 2 days we shared it as a treat.

It's a cool place the burger was so fresh so good. The sub was a waste of money. So soggy I couldn't eat it I ordered the burger and this time it made us sick. It smelled funny and the bread was way past stale. It just crumbles when you hold it .

This is a sad place. My food was cold, cheese partially melted. They made me order my beer seperately, my dine in food came in a bag and peppers don't come on the itilian beef anymore. This is my last stop ever to a portillos outside of Chicago. Skip the trip, its not what you remeber.

We don’t go to Brandon often, and this was our second trip to Portillos! Our order was made quickly and everything was fresh. The jumbo hot dog was great! The restaurant was clean. Charlie was making sure all the tables were cleaned as soon as customers left. He introduced himself and was really nice and even gave my daughter a hat. We will be back the next time we visit Brandon.

9/21/2022 6:22pm. Absolutely love Portillo’s. We each had the Single Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and a drink. This is our second visit and we have many more planned. Thanks Leon. You made our visit at the Brandon, FL restaurant perfect. Oh, we also had a slice of chocolate cake and an eclair. Both were delicious.

Why would I spend 7 dollars for a plain hot dog with nothing on it? I ordered their Chicago style hot dog with everything on it and this is what I received. I was extremely disappointed. It was the only thing I ordered and they couldn't even get that right.

Good tasting shakes, but you can only drink a little bit before the straw collapses and then you throw the rest away. What a waste of your money because they want to use a cheap straw. Hot dogs are flavorful and fries and onion rings are good. Efficient service, but why doesn't the person yelling out order numbers wash their hands prior to handling food or not use a headset?

Chicago street food is right up there with some of the best fast casual food. Try the Italian beef it’s amazing. Thin slices of tender beef served juicy or regular with marinated peppers or giardiniera. Served on Italian bread. Hotdogs and polish sausages are great.
