Where do I start? My 70 year old mother broke her leg in my care visiting from NY. She was turned down by 2 hospitals in Tampa due to her having NYC metro plus insurance. We finally went to Tampa General who performed surgery on her. My mother was released into this facility a week later. At first, I’m not going to lie I was so nervous looking at the reviews on here. I was honestly petrified. But wow I am so grateful I did not deny my mother of this facility due to some of the reviews. Every single person in this facility treated my mother like family. Literally every single person. My mother is refusing to leave because she loves it so much. Brenda, Roxanne, Terrell and so many more, you all were amazing. It’s going to be such a long road for my mother but you all gave her the boost she needed. She is leaving your facility officially tomorrow and she is leaving knowing she’s made some life long friends with your staff. Job well done! I wish I can rate you all 5 stars 100x over and over. Thank you all again so much!

Everyone took care of me and gave me what I needed. The rehab team is wonderful and helped me regain a lot of my strength. Franco and Lucy are excellent nursing assistants and a lot of my nurses were great too. Nick the housekeeper is very friendly and always talked to me when he was cleaning my room. Thank you to the team that took good care of me.

I am writing on behalf of my family. Caring and compassionate people is what my father and I have encountered since his admission. Honesty and integrity and keeping me informed so that I could make the difficult decisions. Dr Rao was great very compassionate and did not sugar coat his status, case management was very attentive and listened as well, even when I met her at her car or entrance to hospital. Thank you again for everything. While it may not have been the outcome we a family wanted the support meant the world to us and enabled us to do what’s was in his best interest.

My fiancΓ© was transferred here to the rehab due to left sided weakness and the Kindred team was absolutely amazing! From the doctors, nurses, and therapist, they worked with him to make sure he was comfortable and took their time answering each question! Since we have been home he has been able to do SO much thanks to the therapists! Andrea was so sweet and amazing at communication, she took her time to make sure he was comfortable and went above and beyond to make sure he got the therapy and treatment he needed! Becoming hemipaligic and having to go to a rehab is not easy and they were so comforting and lifted his spirits throughout the day! He was discharged a week ago and still brings up how great the therapists and staff is and still does their home exercise programs to make sure he keeps going strong!

Kindred Hospital provided excellent care for my brother. The nurses were extremely caring and were always available for questions. The respiratory, speech therapist, physical therapist as well as well as the doctors were very involved and answered all of my questions. The case Manager, Helena Bush, was very personable and knowledgeable. She always gave us the time we needed to ask questions. Overall, I would highly recommend Kindred for care of your loved one.

Everyone on the acute rehab unit at Kindred of St. Petersburg FL was very helpful and kind. The nursing staff was very attentive and met all my needs. The therapy staff was creative, hardworking, and aggressive in their approach to my rehabilitation process. My case manager worked very hard to stay on top of things as far as discharge planning and finding resources. The physicians and nurse practitioners were in daily to check on me and ask open ended questions. I would come back to Kindred ARU in a heartbeat and I recommend anyone to this place. The water front view this facility offers is the icing on the cake.

My experience in this hospital has been wonderful. The hospital staff go out of their way to make things happen. The staff have helped me tremendously, Rodney CNA is one of my favorites, he is very kind. The entire team goes over my care weekly and keeping my family in the loop. Dr. Prevus goes above and beyond to help me with my needs. My infection doctor, makes sure he does all the research for my meditation to see what suits me best. The wound care nurses have been wonderful. I’m very appreciate for everyone that has cared for me in this hospital. There are many others that I would love to thank but their names escape me right now. The facility is very well run, all the staff seem happy to be here and are more than willing to make a patients outcome better. Thank you for the excellent care.

What an experience it has been so far, the staff are absolutely wonderful. The doctors communicate with me and let me know how I'm doing. The rehab team is wonderful, I have made so much progress in a small period of time. I'm so happy I came to this hospital to finish my recovery, the staff are always smiling and ask me how I'm doing, it feels like I'm getting private care. I have a beautiful view, it really helps with my recovery. Thank you for everyone that's helping me get better. I highly recommend this hospital.

I went to Kindred after my surgery hospital stay. Loved the private room. Loved the nursing staff, kind, caring & compassionate. Loved the staff doctor. Food was typical hospital fare. OT, PT & Speech sessions were just ok which was disappointing because I loved everything else about the facility. I would definitely recommend Kindred Hospital for short-term rehab. Unfortunately I needed long-term rehab so it didn't really meet my needs because of the time constraits Medicare allows for a short-time rehab facility.

My experience has been wonderful, the whole clinical and therapy team has been outstanding. Everyone is very knowledgeable and very in tune with the patients needs. They exhibited excellent teamwork when coordinating my care. Even the housekeeping team is wonderful, they always ask me how im doing and ask me about how my progress is coming along. Im very grateful that i got the opportunity to come to Kindred and now transitioning to the acute rehab, Im excited for the next step. Special thank you to many but especially, Luz, Mary, Nick, Frankie, Patricia, and Daly they are all just wonderful. Would definitely come back if I needed to.

What a wonderful experience it has been for me at Kindred St Pete Rehab. Everyone has been very kind and helpful to me, from the bedside nurse to the housekeeping staff they are very pleasant. I’ve made so much progress in the small timeframe that I’ve been here that it amazes me how far I’ve come. Everyone needs to experience this rehabilitation center. The doctors keep me informed, the therapist, PT/OT and speech are encouraging and help me achieve my goals. The water view is absolutely beautiful and it adds a cherry on top of my rehabilitation. Thank you to everyone involved in my care, I’m so grateful that I got the opportunity to be here and rehabilitate here.

After an unexpected hospital stay, my mom was referred to Kindred for rehab & strengthening. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with the service they rendered. EVERYBODY, from dietary to nurse managers, were wonderful. They personalized my mother's care in accordance with her direct needs, and after one week she was able to go home feeling safe and secure. I highly recommend this rehab facility for everyone. She feels very blessed to have gone there.

My husband needed a chance to get stronger so he could come home. Had several medical issues and challenges in an 8 month period of hospital/ rehabilitation facilities. This team has been the only team to get him to a point of being able to return home safely to be with his wife and dogs. The staff were so nice, caring and informative. The therapist are very good and take their time with the patients. The nurses and director and case manager work with the family on any questions or accommodations that may have been needed for the love one in their care. I am so grateful for the whole team and the chance to work with the staff. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who can benefit from the inpatient rehab facility.

I was a patient in the acute rehabilitation center and the staff was first rate. The director came by regularly to see if I needed anything. The rehabilitation staff was astounding from the OTR Meghan to the RPT Liz to the OTR Damian to the DPT Mike to RPT Mae to every single member of the team including their two techs. Wonderful team. Their food service team is wonderful paying close attention to special diets. Their housekeeping staff is very personable and they pay attention to detail. The CNAs are very detail oriented. The entire staff is wonderful. Terrell, the case manager, is a terrific resource for all your discharge needs. Their admission director fought to bring me from the hospital. Thank you all for a great experience. I'm leaving much stronger than ever. Even the unit secretary June does everything to make you feel welcome. And the speech pathologist, Mary, is first rate, going out of her way for her patients

My mother went into kindred for rehabilitation after a surgery , they are the worst within days she has bed sores in places that made no sense. They are abusive physically mentally and emotionally to all the patients. There are like two good nurses ok on that whole wing. I called adult protection services due to the statue of my mothers conditions. I wouldn't suggest anyone bring your loved ones there.

I've never had to experience rehab however my experience at Kindred was great. I had great therapists that pushed me to improve my performance. I felt that my therapist understood me and made me feel comfortable to continue therapy. I made a great choice coming to Kindred and im glad I made the decision to come to this rehab unit. If there were more than 5 stars I would rate them 100. I would recommend Kindred to anyone.

At 52, my wife suffered a severe stroke. In the 24 days at Kindred Bay Area, she entered unable to walk, talk, feed, or care for herself to someone who walked out the door hand in my hand, smiling and happy to be going home knowing she could care for herself. The entire staff is top notch and the best at what they do. Thank you all for getting me my wife back.

The Doctors, Nurses, Nurses Aids, Administration personnel, and the rest of the Kindred staff have been really good to me. Dr. Carson had a big impact during my hospital stay. I liked the way he kept me informed day-by-day and he discontinued certain medications I no longer needed so that I could be eligible to go back home. I noticed that the nurses went out of their way to help me get the things I needed. Also, Trudy one of the Nursing Aids was very nice and tucked me in at night every time she was assigned to me which was very nice and comforting. Jackie with physical Therapy was great! The Respiratory staff did a great job also as they were able to help wean me completely off the oxygen. The housekeeping staff were nice and I appreciated how efficient they all worked to keep my room clean. The only thing I was not too crazy about was the food, but the people were wonderful. Thank you Kindred!!

Since being a patient at Kindred hospital, I was impressed in many ways. The first impression was the location of the hospital and the beautiful scenery next to the water. I was lucky enough to have a view from my window so that I could see the sunshine everyday. My wife made frequent visits to see me, and she was impressed with the surrounding trees and water next to the building. I was also impressed by Dr. Carson who kept me informed daily about my health, and I felt as if he treated me like family. He pulled up a chair and he would take the time to talk to me which shows his dedication and caring nature for others. I liked the Physical therapy staff as well. They helped me get to point that I was able to take a few steps on my own which was something I have not done in a very long time. They were patient with me and allowed me to go at my own pace which I greatly appreciated. The housekeeping staff provided excellent service. My room was kept clean and my wife always complimented how good it smelled in the room when she came to visit me. Kindred went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and for all of their efforts I give Kindred 5 stars!!

I not even want to give this place one star! I am so disappointed in this hospital. People here are very careless it had only been a few hours since my husband went in, and they didn't pay attention, which my husband to go to the first aid. Fortunately, my husband was rescued. Then never went back to this hospital. Two days later I went to ask them to take back my husband's dentures, but they couldn't find them after searching for a few days, probably they were thrown away by the house cleaners. They searched for days and couldn't find it. Said We were wrong. They only saw pink containers. They never received my husband's dentures. Me and my mother-in-law We confirmed with our own eyes that his blue container dentures were in the cabinet when my husband went in .because the dentures really important, we even searched in the room make sure the dentures safe in the cabinet. We are very disappointed in them! Careless, refusing to admit to doing something wrong. It is recommended that you do not go to this hospital.i still try to contact with them , nobody respond! And we can’t afford other dentures!!!! Now kindred put my family in this situation and my husband can’t chew and go back work without he’s denture!!!!

I noticed that the staff was very caring while my Dad was staying at Kindred Hospital. The staff was always willing to help answer questions, and if they did not know the answer then they would find someone who was able to do so. I like the infectious disease doctors. They seemed to be very involved with my Dad's care and progress. The nurses were great, but there was a couple of nurse who really stood out the most and I like for Kindred to acknowledge them for their work ethics. The discharge process was very smooth and the Case management personnel was very helpful about the options that would be appropriate for my Dad's next level of care. Everyone did great with my Dad!! Thank you....

As soon as I arrived to Kindred hospital my spirits were high. I wanted to be in a hospital closer to home and coming from Bayonet Point to Kindred helped out tremendously. The transfer process was smooth and quick. Also, my wife was happy that I was closer to her as well. The Physicians who did their daily rounds got right to the point and explained things thoroughly. I liked how the the staff put their names on the board so I could see who was working with me during the day and night. The CNA's are very hardworking people. I like how polite they were and they made me feel very comfortable when they had to work with me. The physical therapy department did great. They were excellent at explaining what they were doing and they never pushed me if I was unable to do certain activities. The speech therapist was very professional and did great with helping me with my voice quality. A speaking device was placed on my trach airway so that I was able to communicate better with others and especially my wife. The housekeeping staff did a great job as they came into my room twice a day to make sure I had a clean room and they made sure the trash was taken out. I had a wonderful experience. Everything was great from the day I arrived to the day I left. I appreciate what they have done for me!

I am very happy and impressed with Kindred Hospital. The Nursing staff and therapists are very knowledgeable, professional and personable. They are willing to answer any questions you may have plus take time to assist you with concerns, issues and doubts. I noticed right away that people at Kindred really care. I loved the doctors and the nurses. It made a difference in my day and mood when a nurse displayed a cheerful and positive attitude. I also appreciated the communication by the nursing staff. If they were not able to attend to me immediately, they would let me know about when they would return which was in good timing. I would like to recognize the physical therapy team for doing a wonderful job with me in getting me stronger over the course of my hospital stay. The Respiratory team was awesome as well as they helped my get off the ventilator machine. My room was kept clean and tidy by the housekeeping staff. Also, I want to acknowledge Helene with Case Management for working hard in finding me a Rehab facility which made me extremely happy. I appreciate her efforts and as well as the Kindred staff. I had a great experience!!!

My brother has been hospitalized since April 2019 following a serious car accident that left him paralyzed and on a ventilator. He is and has been in grave condition, but thanks in part to the dedicated services of his caregivers, he still maintains a strong will to live. The hospital staff members caring for him have been gentle, professional, and efficient. On more than one occasion, he had to be revived by quick response time of the staff who save his life. In particular, I would like to to recognize Fran who has gone over and above all expectations to make him comfortable and has explained everything to us about his condition in easy to understand terms. Fran has also made a point of Face-timing me at least 4 times per week so that I can see and talk to my brother. This has been been my lifeline and enables us to pick up his mood with these phone visits. Fran is truly an Angel. Additionally, I would like to thank the nursing staff Stephanie and Erik for their steadfast interest and care in my brother's case. I highly recommend Kindred Hospital!!

I put one star because I don't have the option of commenting without one. My dad had have the worst experience ever! Bell calls were never answered. I had to call make a nurse go and help my dad to the restroom! I tried to call and the calls were drop every single time. When I get to speak to anyone, they were rude. If you want your loved ones to die fast, take them there.

I would like to speak on behalf of my wife Diane Gillette who was a patient at Kindred Hospital. When my wife was admitted to Kindred hospital, she was on a life support ventilator machine. After about 3 weeks, she was strong enough to breathe on her own without the ventilator machine. Even though her trach airway was not able to come out, she was strong enough to wear a talking valve over her trach airway so that we can talk to each other over the phone which was very nice and comforting. This helped tremendously. Due to the covid virus pandemic, it was nice to be able to at least hear my wife's voice since I was not able to see her on person. My wife and I really appreciated the doctors who kept us informed at all times. Also, the case management team was superb in keeping us informed as well. Helene with case management explained to me that my wife could be the first patient in the new adult rehab unit with a trach airway. My wife was very excited to hear this news and she was honored to be the first. The transition the Kindred Hospital section to the new adult rehab unit on the first floor went very smoothly. Everyone did exactly what they said they were going to do and this really solidified our confidence with the Kindred personnel and their organization. My wife and I would like to give Kindred 5 stars!!!

My experience was very nice! Everyone was so nice to me and I felt as if Kindred rolled the red carpet out for me from the beginning. The environment was positive and caring. Something that stood out to me the most was a certain occupational therapist staff member who helped me get out of bed so that I could take a shower and wash my hair. Most people would take things like that for granted, but I really appreciated it that day. It felt so good to have that done, and it really made my day. I also valued the courtesy of the staff as they checked in on me daily. Kindred did a wonderful job helping me recover and I would like to thank them sincerely.

My mother-in-law's experience at Kindred has been great! I have noticed that everyone has been marvelous, very thoughtful, and caring. I liked how Kindred partnered in working with key family members day-by-day so that she can make it back home which was very considerate. The Respiratory team did an excellent job getting her completely off the oxygen. The housekeeping crew always kept the rooms clean and then even asked me out of courtesy if the room needed to be cleaned again. The physical therapy staff did awesome in working with my mother-in-law so that she can regain strength. The Nurses aids were all fabulous in the care they provided. The physicians were equally as good as everyone else regarding the care. Kindred has been by far the best hospital experience for my mother-in-law. Thank you Kindred!!

I can’t thank the people at this hospital enough for the care provided to me. They helped get me to the point where I’m ready to go to the next step. During my hospital stay, I have noticed the positive attitudes among the staff. All of the Doctors did very well by rounding on me every day. They were very professional, experienced, and all of them had good personalities. The physical therapy personnel were excellent as they helped me regain my strength. Eventually I was able walk up and down the hallways on my own without much assistance. My journey to getting well was a challenge. I was not alone in this journey because I had a great team of Kindred healthcare professionals who all coordinated great care plans for me so that I can have a chance to recover from illnesses. I was able to wear a talking valve on my tracheostomy airway so that I can have conversations with others which was very nice and it made me feel closer to being normal again. Overtime, I was able to have my tracheostomy airway removed. I would like to give special acknowledgement to the Respiratory team and Pulmonary MD's. They were all consistent with helping me progress and they all had an open communication with me about my daily goals. My experience was outstanding and I give Kindred 5 stars.

I had a great experience as rehab patient at Kindred's adult rehab (ARU) unit. The staff was very nice and professional. The (ARU) was extremely clean and I loved my big private room. I have enjoyed all of my therapy sessions with the physical therapy personnel which immensely helped me regain my strength. As much as I have enjoyed my stay at Kindred's new ARU facility, I am even more excited to get back home to be with me family and get off the a fresh start physically. I appreciate the efforts made by the entire staff, and thank you Kindred for helping me recover.

Since day one I have really enjoyed my hospital experience. It has been a very good feeling knowing that I had multiple chances to speak to my Doctor everyday about my progress. I also liked how cleaned and spacious my room has been. The housekeeping staff came in daily and cleaned my room very well. The entire team and work culture is great, and I have noticed that everyone works together for the same common goal of taking care of me. I wish I has the ability to participate in physical therapy more often, but hopefully over time my body with get stronger so that I can do more of the normal things I use to do in the past. The staff was very nice and respectful towards me, and the CNA's were exceptional. I like their personalities and they all treated me with dignity. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. Thank you to Kindred!!

I had a very enjoyable experience as a patient at Kindred Hospital. The Kindred employees treated me well and they always maintained a good level of professionalism. I liked my attending doctor as well as the team of specialty doctors they were also involved in my care. Amber who was one of my care givers, went out of her way every time she worked with me. The physicial therapy team helped me get back on feet and I would like to especially thank Jackie for coordinating this with her team. The Respiratory staff did well and they checked on me throughout the day and night to ensure I was breathing well or if I needed to wear my Bipap machine at night. I would like to recognize Mike with housekeeping. He always did a great job with keeping the hallways clean as well as my room. Good hard working people at Kindred and they made all the difference for me. Thank you!!

My father who is a retired physician was transferred to Kindred from Bayfront. He needed acute care as he has Parkinsons and also trachea tube from pneumonia. Everybody from the receptionist to the cafeteria staff to the medical team were amazing. He had round the clock care from nurses, nursing assistant, pulmonary nurse, rehab, and doctors. Dr. Carson was the primary care physician, and he took the time to explain the situation with my father as Parkinsons is a very debilitating disease with good days and bad. My mother and aunt stayed there daily for 12+ hours every day and saw the level of professionalism. We love the procedure where the white board in the room was updated daily with the names of each person who was caring for my father. The rooms were clean and the bed was new with incredible features from the ability to weigh him to reclining several angles. They were able to nurse him back to health where his infection was gone. These times are tough and emotional but we were more than satisfied with the level of care that my dad received. This type of service is not by chance and I did not want it to go unrecognized. I hope others find this posting helpful.

During the first week of my hospital stay, I liked how the team of managers all came to my room and talked to my family and I about my health goals. I found this to be very helpful and informative as a lot of questions were able to be answered during that time. I appreciated how the Respiratory team made sure I was able to use my own cpap machine at night and they all checked on me daily and nightly to make sure that my oxygen level was good, and that I was breathing well. Finally, the view outside from my room allowed a lot of sunlight in everyday which was good for my mood level, boosted up my spirits and kept me motivated to heal and recover each day. Kindred created a great experience for me and I want to thank them all.

Kindred gave me the confidence as they showed continued care, treatments, and protocols to help my husband recover during his hospital stay. I have noticed great communication between the staff and Doctors, The team of Doctors always kept informed about any changes that occurred with my husband. His attending Doctors was excellent as well as his Pulmonary Doctors. The wound care staff did a good job over time with him. Speech therapy was wonderful as efforts were made to him with his speech and swallowing techniques. I liked how the Respiratory equipment was set up in his room which made it quick and easy to access whenever they need to treat him. His room was the cleanest I have ever seen so great job to the environmental staff. The CNA's treated my husband well. They were all great. Kindred has a top notch focused approach when it comes to patient care and from caring professionals!

I was impressed with Kindred from the moment I arrived. Several good points I would like to acknowledge about my experience: how clean the house keepers kept my room, the friendly attitudes of the staff which made me feel like I belong there. I liked the Physician's Assistant who checked in on me throughout the week. He was a very nice gentleman and very professional. I liked that Kindred feed me well during my stay, and the dietary staff always made sure I had the right meal for the day. One of my biggest accomplishments was that I walked 150 steps without any oxygen. The physical therapy team did great with me, and I appreciated them for helping me regain my strength. However, I had to stay a little longer than expected to allow my antibiotics to finished, but I did not mind at all because I was good hands and I became acquainted with the staff. Everyone did great and I give Kindred 5 stars!!

I would like to start off by saying that I was impressed with the entire staff since the moment I arrived. The Respiratory team connected me to a special device that allowed me to get a good flow of oxygen so that I could breathe much easier. My ambassador came in to check on me a lot, and helped me coordinate messages to the case management department. The housekeeping staff was very nice and they always smiled while doing their work. I appreciated the CNA's for taking a small part out of their work day to speak to me and they treated me with dignity. I also enjoyed the weekly workout regimen from the Physical Therapy staff. It was hard at first, but I started to actually lose some weight which motivated me to keep going. I really wanted to go home, but Kindred's team of experts recommended that I go to an acute rehab facility so that I could continue to get stronger and healthier. I really enjoyed my hospital experience, and I liked the spacious room I had to myself which was very nice! Even though I was not a home yet, Kindred always made me feel as if I was at home. Thank you very much to all.

The staff at Kindred were very professional especially the Nursing supervisors. They quickly resolved my concerns I had any, and they made sure that I was being treated well. The CNA's were fantastic and they made me feel special regarding the care provided. My team of Doctors were excellent as well, and they kept me informed daily about my progress. I had a very nice experience and I give Kindred 5 stars!!

I liked how the staff was very nice and attentive towards me. One of the nurses always took the extra time to get me food items if I wanted something extra. Another nurse stayed a little longer each time and conversed with me about various topics which took my mind off being sick and I felt more respected as a person. The Physical Therapy staff was very encouraging, and I like how they implemented weekend exercises for me. I could see my strength progress over time as well. My daughter who came to visit me frequently played a big role in my hospital to hospital transitions. She was also very impressed with the security team, the front lobby staff, the kitchen staff, the CEO, and Case management. I had a great experience and I appreciate everything!!

I was very appreciative of the way Kindred provided the same care for my mother that she received at the previous hospital. When my mother arrived at Kindred she was not receiving very much nutrition, but Kindred's team of nurses, dietary staff, and doctors had a great plan to help her by increasing the tube feeding which help her recover immensely. I noticed a big difference in her health, and her skin looked much better over the course of her hospital stay which was impressive. Also, I liked the private rooms which was very peaceful for my mother to rest and recover. Kindred lived up to all the expectations and I appreciate everything they have done!!

Kindred's caring culture was immediately evident throughout my Dad's hospital stay. The leadership of the nursing staff and others were impressive on both days shift and night shift. I was very impressed that the CEO was able to hear my concerns respectfully and address them quickly. My family and I want to thank Kindred for the outstanding care provided for my Dad and the efforts by everyone is very much appreciated!!

Everyone has been over-the-top spectacular when it comes to patient care and beside manner. The Kindred staff accommodated me very well. Since I have a challenges with my vision, it was very nice of Kindred to allow my family to set a personal TV in my room which helped me tremendously . One particular nurse went out her way to arrange flowers in my room so that the room would look more like a bedroom in home rather than a hospital bedroom. Also, one particular CNA did exceptionally well whenever I needed personal care. My husband visited me daily and he was very impressed with the personnel from the administration to the caregivers to the doctors. Everyone played a key part in helping me experience the wonderful service and hospitality. Thank you Kindred and I give 5 stars!!! Continue the great service!!!

I noticed that Kindred has staff that is very caring, attentive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The doctors are good also especially Dr. Atluri. The nurses and nurses aids all are marvelous. The physical therapy team is great as well. I make frequent visits to Kindred to see my long time friend wean daily from the ventilator and fight to get better, and it means a lot when the physical therapy staff are able to get her into a chair for a couple hours. The Respiratory team has been working hard to help my friend liberate from the ventilator. Overall they have been excellent and I appreciate the prompt timing when she needs a breathing treatment and suctioning. I am very pleased with Kindred and what they stand for in helping people recover!!!

I would like to share my experience at Kindred Hospital. It took some time for me to warm up to everyone, but eventually I was won over by the people who took great care of me. I felt all of the Doctors were wonder, especially my attending Doctor who came to see me everyday and showed passion in his professional. The nurses were great and treated me very well. Overall, I appreciated the bedside manner and courtesy that everyone had with me which meant a lot. Everyone was very involved with me while I was hospitalized at Kindred. I had a person who checked on me daily and helped me address my concerns. I felt the nurses were very caring as well as the doctors. The Respiratory and Physical Therapy staff were excellent and the environmental services personnel were very consistent in cleaning my room during the day and evenings. I really like having conversations with people who worked their which made me feel like a regular person rather than just a patient. Kindred has a unique culture with a special group of people who really care which makes all the difference and with much gratitude I give Kindred 5 stars.

I would like to share my hospital experience by expressing how involved the Doctors were everyday. I felt as if they all treated my condition very well and it felt good seeing them daily so that I can ask questions and get answers in a timely manner. I liked the way the nurses handled my medications. They delivered them on time and they were correct each time which showed me that they were proficient and because of this I gained trust in them. The physical therapy staff were great; however, I wish I could have received more, but I was limited to what I can do. The Respiratory Therapy team took care of me well during the day and at night with all of my oxygen needs and my request for breathing treatments. I felt that they made a big difference in helping me get well. The housekeeping department were wonderful. One person always asked me very politely if it was okay to come in a clean my room which showed a lot of courtesy and respect. I noticed they were always smiling and they took the time to speak me. I like to also acknowledge one of the Nurses aids who took excellent care of me. This particular nurses aid was very genuine and patient with me and she never forgot about me and always came back to check on me. This had an impact on my experience with Kindred showing me that healthy people still care about other people that are less fortunate with their health and depend on others each day. Thank you Kindred for being there for me!!

This hospital is a filthy place that I wouldn't want anyone to go to. The bathroom in the room had a pipe coming out of the wall for a shower, the faucet in the sink could be pulled out and there was mold all over the shower floor. After demanding the patient be moved from the room, another patient was in the same room the next day. Trash cans were over flowing and the floors were dirty. In my opinion, this place should be closed

Worst rehab center ever. Was told my dad was doing great and he could walk etc. A lie found my dad on the floor at 430am he told me he couldn’t walk or get up at all he rolled off his bed cause he needed to use the bathroom and get a cup of water from the kitchen now that just broke my heart completely and to hear my dad was doing great at both TAMPA & STPETE KINDRED REHAB it was all a lie and from an email from the case worker that someone would be taking my dad to and from doctor appointments where was the transportation? No where to be found.. so I don’t recommend this rehab center to anyone! Cause they will just lie to you to get your loved one out they’re center ASAP.

Last Thursday I told Dr Alandary I wanted to discharge to home and he said I needed to speak with case management. I didn’t think it could get done in a day but Helen and her team made it happen. The hospital is awesome and there is a definite team approach from nursing to rehab and of course case management. I’m doing so well at home and can’t thank Kindred St Petersburg enough!

I like that fact that my stay at Kindred was not for very long. They took very good care of me, and helped get my oxygen level down to a point so that the next facility could manage me appropriately . Everyone was really nice and genuine. I was not able to move very much, but considering the condition I was in months ago Kindred has helped me recover in several other areas. I was grateful for the Respiratory team that figured out a way for me to wear the Bi-pap equipment at night. I had a few restless nights, but they found the right mask for me to wear and I slept like a baby every night because if this. I want to that everyone who was involved with my care!!

Supervisor at facility on Gandy Blvd that fills meds for nursing homes in St. Petersburg. Fl was terrible. Had to have loud crazy music playing because " you got to have it". Would hide in her/ his office. ( While outside areas had to have loud crazy blaring music).Gave special schedule to a Rph for 2 dogs so he/she could be off 3,4,5 days in a row. Ask to leave 1 hr early for CEU was denied and asked weeks before. Supervisor had no idea what were talking about. Meds to be filled were left all day like 10 hours then at 11 PM it became a certain persons problem to do. Certain Rph would be in data entry room all day staring at a certain other attractive person. Then he/ she was" toast "and had to go home ( whenever he/ she felt like leaving) No assigned work areas or management--- just find a place to goof off. Would hire from a temp agency and make the regular employees go home. Probably didn't even know who I was.Late night crew was all Goth.

The staff here at kindred acute rehabilitation center has been helpful and friendly. They will push you to reach your goals and try to go beyond if you can. But the main thing they stress is listening to your body. And not going beyond what your body is capable at that time. I highly recommend them if you need any type of physical occupational therapy.

Unfortunately, I can’t give them a zero I have to give them a one. if you want your Family member to get a stage five wound, you should definitely check out this hospital. None of upper management thinks it’s a problem when somebody has a stage five ulcer on the top of their foot! They will let your family member rot alive!!! Now there are a few staff members that really really care, and I feel for their hearts because they’re trying so hard with the horrible management that they have!!!!

When I first arrived to Kindred’s new adult rehab unit, I had a tracheostomy airway that had a plastic cap covering it. The respiratory therapy staff took great care of me and eventually the lung doctor gave the order to have my trach airway removed which was fantastic. The entire staff was great especially the CNA’s Claudia and Mary. The physical therapy staff took great care of me and they were always on top of everything. The one thing I liked the most was how caring and concerned the staff was about me all day and night. It was a very comforting feeling and I appreciate everything they have done to help me rehab and recover. My family came to visit me on my last day and everyone was very polite to them as well. Kindred’s rehab unit did a very wonderful job I like to give them five stars!,

A night mare my 94 yr old def Mother had a fall and fractured 2 vertebrae in her neck She went to Northside ER and after Three days she was almost back to her old joking self , then sent to Kindred where her health deteriorated rapidly after several complaints to the nurses and one to the DR they finally sent her to ICU unfortunately in the kindred system She was having diarrhea and they knowing this repeatedly gave her laxatives Her sodium nose dived and she wanted to die, her arms wrist and forearms turned purple from there attempts to get a needle in her veins The manners of the nurses were patronizing as if to say we didn't know anything where my two sisters have been RNs for 35 plus years. Security was very rude to me as The patiant advocate told me i could stay with my mom late because i flew in from Indiana, and told me i had to leave asap I cant believe in this day and age you cant visit your own def mother past visiting hours Btw my sister personally cleaned the room as it was filthy

My experience as a patient in Kindred's new Adult Rehab Unit (ARU) has been spectacular. I really appreciated the kindness and compassionate care from the CNA's Mary and Derrick. They are two of the nicest people I have ever met. They are both hardworking people and I have never seen them go about their day without smile. Also, I would like to recognize Claudia for taking the time to talk with me whenever I felt anxious. She was amazing towards me and she really helped me get through the day at times. The speech therapist, ARU nurses, Physical Therapist, and Occupational therapist were all professional and provided me excellent care. Kindred's (ARU) is going in the right direction and they have the right personnel in place that truly care. Thanks to Kindred for all they have done to help me regain my strength. I would recommend Kindred's (ARU) to anyone!!

After 15 months being bed ridden at home and weighing 704 lbs and 2 years going in between hospital and nursing home / rehab I entered Kindred Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida weighing 477 lbs with respiratory problems and weakness in my arms and legs on Feb. 16, 2023 and hadn't walked in 6 months because of my health. The rehab crew had me walking up to 4 feet the first week. After 2 weeks in Kindred Hospital I was transferred down stairs to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit getting 3 hours of occupational , physical , and speech therapy 5/6 days a week. I left Kindred Rehabilitation weighing 465 lbs and going home to my wife for the first time in two years. When I went home on March 23 they had me walking up to 32 feet with a walker. When I first went in three people had to help me out of the wheelchair and when I left I could get out of the wheelchair myself with only one person there for safety. I am thankful to the speech therapist for helpful me with compression skills. I had daily visits from my doctor's and updates from my case manager. I am also thankful for my case manager for making sure all the equipment and therapy was set up at home for my release. Everyone from the Doctors to the rehab therapist to the nurses to the CNA's and housekeeping they were always smiling and very helpful and very hard working. Dietary helped me with my meals for high protein low carb diet. Kindred is a very clean and well kept hospital/rehab on the Tampa Bay waterfront. I would recommend this hospital for anyone that has respiratory problems and also needs rehab. The rehab gym has a fantastic view of the Tampa Bay waterfront. Thank you to my new family at Kendrick St. Pete for getting my health back to where I can go home to my wife and my life. Robert and Mary Coone 3/26/23

This has been one of the best hospitals I have ever been too. All the staff have been wonderful, the doctor's, therapist, nurses and the rest of the team have taken good care of me and helped me reach my goals. I don't know if I would be in the same level I am today if it wasn't for this team. This place is 10/10, I'm truly grateful for being able to recover here. The facility is very clean, the housekeepers would come in clean my room everyday. The rehab gym is top tier. I could see how anyone from anywhere would want to come here. I never knew this place existed, but it’s been a revelation for me that a place like this exists with such kind people. Even the smallest request I made, they did it without question and without making me feel like I was bothering them. When you go from being from completely independent and then go to being dependent, the staff here will help you regain the confidence you need in order to get back to where you were. I still have a journey ahead but with the knowledge I’ve gain here I am confident I will be able to achieve my goals. The facility is very clean and the housekeeping team are as pleasant as they can be. I do plan to come back to visit the friends I’ve made in my time here, thank you for being so kind to me.
