We had breakfast here and really enjoyed their grilled cheese sandwich and their serrano ham sandwich. Clean locale right on the Plaza Mayor next to the Opera House, this is a great bar with great service.

Unfriendly to tourists, or just people in general. Tables are intermingled between restaurants but separated by an invisible wall of bitterness, probably born of long simmering feud over who can serve beer vs coffee at noon. God forbid you order food from La Oja but a cafe solo from El Tartare next door. They will scold you, ask you to leave and act with menacing intent towards your children. Excessive Franco authoritarianism alive and well. Watch out for the guy with the glasses and the sideburns.

Incredibly rude male server, patronizing and borderline abusive (we were a group for young women). Food is mediocre and overpriced and the servings are small. Also tables are not cleaned properly in between customers. Can't say anything good about this place, just go somewhere else, don't waste your money here.

Very rude server - we had a fight with him about the water I bought. Everybody at our table ordered wine or beverage or water. My kids finished their sofa quickly because it was a hot day (90F+), I just poured some water from my bottle to my kids glasses to keep them hydrated. The server rushed to my table, and then had a long, loud, yelling and angry speech about I should not use my own water. I was then telling him that every one ordered drinks, not like we did not order anything. We even ordered a bottle of water from him although we had water bottles in our backpack, what is the big deal about drinking our own water at a restaurant like this. Then he came back to our table and yelled again. Absolutely arrogant, rude and disrespectful. Food was overpriced, the small plates of chicken and pork were dry and hard to chew, and very salty. The tuna toast was not fresh. Definitely avoid it and try other restaurants in the plaza. If only there were a 0 point option.

Wonderful location in Plaza Mayor, although the food was mediocre, a bit smelly, and the service very disappointing and amateur. The waiter had more beers on his table than all the customers together.

Please, calibrate your staff. They are supposed to serve the guests a and treat them with respect, not to make them feel unwelcomed. Second star for location.

(Translated by Google) It's true, it's not the best bar I've been to. But it does not deserve to have an average score of 2. Maybe because they have improved recently, but we found a waiter full of humor and sympathy, some passable squid with its lemon, some normal potatoes aioli and a salmon toast that without being extraordinary is far from being bad. The price is totally according to what they bring you, which does not happen with neighboring bars (pay So, even if it is not a five-star bar, I put them to compensate that 2, which in my opinion is not such.

A very old and traditional tapas cafe that is located in the town center. Seems all the locals go here and they all know each other, including the servers. The lady staff is nice and managed to take my requests kindly depsite my zero Spanish 😂. The coffee was good, the tapas were ok. Not mind blowing, but enough to sustain the morning with some pork bits and tortillas. The prices are good. It will be a good place to try out if one wants to savor coffee and tapas the good old fashion way.

AVOID like your life depends on it. This is hands down the worst restaurant I have ever visited in my life. All of the staff couldn't have been more rude and dismissive. If you have any self respect avoid this place. There are so many nice places in this area and this place just absolutely sucks. Don't believe me? Buckle up and prepare to be ignored whilst the waiter does a 1000 yard stare with only 2 of tables to wait. I can't stress enough how bad this place is. I would rather consume my own faeces than go back, I mean this, I seriously mean this.....

Food was terrible. Bread on the table was probably a couple of days old. I would definitely not recommend.

Incredible rude staff. The beer is poorly poured and price are step. Avoid this tourist trap.
