Everything was bad. Beds had hairs in the new sheets. Hotel and beds stank of perfume. Sink was clogged at arrival. Shower was tiny. Pictures on google looked nothing alike hotel. Door frame was made of thin wood, which was also loose so door opened without key. ”Breakfast included”, there was only one croissant and coffee/juice. There wasnt even enough croissants for everyone at hotel. There were only 8 tables to sit at. Rooms hade no ac so it was 30C in room with seven people. Very badly cleaned rooms with loads of dust on lamps, under beds and on flat surfaces. Window frames were cracked and stained, both inside and outside. Bad location. Severely overpriced.

Very dissatisfied with the reception, I made a booking after paying online, unfortunately missed bus to check-in. Tried contacting hotel 20 Times to change booking but no response. Finally spoke to hotel the next morning and kindly asked them to change the booking due to problems, they said it wasn’t possible and I have to book another room and pay for another stay. This was a difference of ONE DAY!! ... never experienced this in all my stays with hotels. Fortunately I didn’t pay to much for the room. Beware if you have an emergency or miss your booking after 24 hours!

Don’t go to this hotel. The hotel owner is very rude and i want to warn all Asians and everyone. Don’t go this hotel. He’s racist. AVOID THIS HOTEL! A Hotel is a place where people should be welcomed. But the owner has no motivation and he thinks he is big boss but he has no employees. When we tried to check in he was watching YouTube videos and had no interest. PLEASE AVOID!! Ugly Hotel and no hygiene.

Blankets smell like you’re in someone’s budd. Heater doesn’t work. Towels were not clean. Nothing smell like it had been washed. Staff is okay but service was terrible. All the bad reviews are extremely true. Even 1 star is too much. I recommend to sleep in a tent or on a bench instead.

Horrible place, I am writing to a police to report on this place and in the receptionist guy. The receptionist hit me and kicked me, I hope he will be deported out of Italy. There was the following situation: he said the breakfast starts at 7.30am. We had to check out at 6.45am to catch a train. I asked him for a breakfast (which I paid), he said that it would be too loud to make a coffee because it would wake up other guests (even though the lobby was on the ground floor, and all rooms were upstairs). I said ok, if to make a coffee is too loud, then please give us a take away box as other hotels do. After that he put a basket with croissants. I take two and asked him about juice / water. He said he doesn’t have juice. I said ok then water please. He rejected to give the water (he said I had to be polite, but I was polite and asked for a breakfast normally). He said we can wait 40 minutes for the breakfast. I said either he gives us the water from the breakfast, or I take more croissants. He rejected to give the water. The I took more croissants. And he became crazy - he jumped to me and hit and kicked, several times, I tried to protect myself, but he hit even more. My mother tried to protect me and he hit her as well. Thanks to other guests the police was called. Unfortunately we were not able to stay longer to write a report, because we had tickets to the train. I already wrote to Booking.com and I plan to write in addition to the Italian police.

Unlike many others, I had an excellent time in Hotel Centrale Milano. I booked the room on the same day of arrival & called the reception in advance to check whether rooms are still available like shown online. After confirming I booked & was positively surprised 20minutes later. The guy at the reception was friendly & helpful - also the reception was opened 24h when we were there, the rooms were spacious & beautiful with comfortable beds & a spacious bathroom. The only thing that can be improved is to install an A/C. My dad & me were fine with using the fan though. But for others that may be a problem as it is VERY HOT IN Milano Much more than in the south along the coast lines So be aware of that... Thank you Hotel Centrale I'll be back!

Hotel owner so rude. Don’t go to this Hotel! BE AWARE. It stinks and it has no hygiene. The Hotel Boss doesn’t want any customers , he is not friendly and not welcoming. I would sleep on the streets than in this hotel

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We booked two rooms for 7 people because our train got canceled. Once we arrived the man at the reception was rude and said that he wouldn't let us in the hotel because our "card was not valid" which isn't true. We tried to give him another credit card and he still refused to let us in. Then he told us that we are there only to party and that we are not welcome in the hotel and he left us without any place to stay at 1 o clock in the morning. DO NOT GO THERE

Don’t book this hotel, especially not with payment at the location. It’s a scamming activity, telling you the creditcard declined just before arrival, cancelling your booking, but you can book again but for €1000 more. Our bank confirmed that this Hotel declined my credit card themselves. Very rude and unfriendly customer service.

I stayed at this hotel from July 29th to August 1st. Here is the reason for giving negative review to help fellow travellers. Hotel doesn't even have a name board outside to recognise the location. I booked hotel through Agoda and the response from hotel is pretty bad when i ask for anything they simply say Agoda doesn't own this hotel if any problem you need to speak with them. Receptionists are arrogant and totally not responsive Bath shower is too small i am 5'6 and it is pretty hard for a guy like me to have shower Breakfast timings were mentioned to me during check in as 7.30 AM to 10 AM. We went at 8.45AM and there was not breakfast answer was you need to be early to get food. This is utter rubbish i paid extra amount for breakfast and when i say this to them they simply say speak to Agoda from where i have booked my hotel. Even though it is 1 km from Milano centrale location is so bad with stinking roads and no food options near by you will be scared to walk alone in the evenings. There are so many illegal immigrants around this area following you asking for money which is really scary and you never know if they rob you.

This place definite wins the contest for the worst service and the worst description compared to what you really get. First of all no one ever responded any of our messages that we’ve sent through Booking. Second, when we came we were asked to pay extra for the baby. I explained that the baby is less than 2 years old so according to their rules from their Booking profile he should stay for free. It took a guy some calls and he finally let us stay. Third, the place is definitely not adjusted for baby strollers and people on wheelchairs as there are lots of stairs just to get to the reception which is in the -1 floor and then the nearest room is on the +1 floor so you need to go down and up. Four, the breakfast is a joke. I hope I can attach videos and photos so you can see for yourself. Five, the service is as disappointing as the place. After we were given coffee I was waiting for a breakfast or at least an info where we can get it. After some minutes I stood up got to the counter and asked the guy if the buns that were laying on the reception desk is the breakfast. He said “yeah, yeah” without even looking at me. We stayed one night and I could probably keep adding more things to this list. We were given one big towel only… the part of the bed made of artificial leather keeps falling apart and leaves dust on your bed… the shower leaks and you hear water drops all night long. So many things… I see that this hotel will always have some visitors as it’s one of the closest hotels to the train station but location is the only good thing that I imagine could be said about this sad sad place.

This is the worst hotel I have ever dealt with. It is run by some crooks. We had booked a room, when suddenly the day before arrival we got information that the credit card did not work (other hotels did not have this problem, this hotel was obviously cheating). After they canceled our reservation (luckily we didn't incur any costs), our room appeared for a few hundred euros more! I do not recommend! Give it a wide berth!

Fortunately, I did not have the opportunity to stay in this hotel but I have a few things to say: 1. A few hours before we receive a message telling that there was a problem with the payment card. We added two new cards and the issue persisted (we used them that same day with no inconvenients). So the issue probably comes from the system or their bank, which can happen of course. 2. After leaving the flight, my girlfriend called the hotel (22:25h) and the recepcionist said that our reservation was cancelled as there was issues with our payment (3 cards used) and he cannot do anything about it. By the way, before cancelling it (he said we had a few minutes to fix it) my gf asked if there was a solution and he answered very quickly to look for another hotel. 3. I call and talk with the person there about why they did not provide us an alternative solution (call us to confirm the reservation, maybe pay in cash there, whatever) but he said to me it is not possible and it was an order from his manager (who was not there at that time) because apparently they could not take the risk. The conversation during the call was tense due to the situation. However, the recepcionist did not have patience and challenge me to go there and call the police. As per other comments, I read here, it seems this happens frequently which makes me think it can be a scam. So, we were at 22:45 on our way to Milan and trying to find another solution as the recepcionist only solution was to call other hotels. Awful customer service, nothing to say about the hotel itself.

This is a budget/1 star hotel so you're not going to get the Ritz, some of the negative reviews being left here are completely ridiculous. What you are going to get is a clean and comfortable room which look far better in person than some of the pictures on here. Staff friendly and location ideal for exploring Milan and the wider area. Would stay again.

A pretty good place for its price. A nice receptionist. The breakfasts became a bit better. They have added the yoghurts to the croissants and coffee

Had to stay one spontaneous night in Milano to catch the train early in the next morning. I arrived at the hotel without reservation but the man behind the front desk was very nice and able to accommodate me. The room was clean and I really liked the spacious bathroom. The breakfast selection could have been bigger, but I still didn't have to leave hungry. The price overall wasn't cheap but more than fair enough for the location.

For what it is, this was a good place to stay, easy to get to public transport, felt safe and secure and was a decent base for our 3 nights in Milan. Fairly basic, no frills accommodation but friendly staff, and decent croissants.

Really small breakfast but good. Staff was nice and kind. Heating was not working properly, towels were not smelling well, windows sealing was terrible and bed was not comfortable. But worth it for it’s price.

Not recommended to stay in this hotel! Very dissatisfied with hotel service. Furniture not comfortable, old and worn out. Very inefficient check-in, staff could be more friendly (e.g. inappropriate and loud phone call to a complaining customer by the receptionist, no apologies in case of complaints). Breakfast far below expectations and incomplete compared to description on website. Dirty tables, drinks only in disposable cups/packs, no cutlery available to eat yoghurt. After complaining about missing spoons, dirty tables and the too few choices (compared to the hotel description), we just received the comment that this is the typical Italian breakfast, and that we have to live with it and that we have to eat the yoghurt on the room (where also no spoons are available!). Tables were cleaned in front of us by throwing crumbs onto the floor and putting dirty dishes to other tables. As we complained and the comment of the staff did not promise any overall improvement, we decided to cancel the remaining nights of the reservation. At check-out days before expected departure, it seemed to be perceived as very common and the receptionist didn't even ask for reasons. After requesting a refund due to unresolved complaints, we were referred to the email address. No apologies were done by the hotel. The request for refund of the cancellation was denied by email, even though the general terms could allow to request a refund in this case (which is not explicitly listed in the cancellation policies and therefore one have to read and interpret the policy as a whole). At least a refund for the city tax of the cancelled nights has been accepted by the hotel (but payment is still pending). Please note for summer times that the hotel does not offer air conditioning and that temperatures in the rooms can get very hot in Milan. Also note that no elevator exists!

Very bad experience. Rooms are dirty , hotel lobby is dirty and when you leave your luggage in the hotel everyone can go into the room, so it’s not safe. The employees are rude to foreigners which I can not understand because a hotel should be welcoming . I recommend everyone not staying at this hotel

Breakfast was included but it was unhealthy breakfast and no food for breakfast except coffee, yogurt, low quality jelly bun and juice. No elevator in Hotel so imagine to carry your suitcases on stairs, stores and restaurants far away from hotel. Curtains and blankets were very old

Based on the reviews, I was hesitant to book. I ended up having to find a stay last minute. The staff communicated great with me. I arrived at 2am. Checked in, slept in a clean room, woke up and had breakfast. No issues at all.

Booked here through hotels.com but when we showed up they were closed for business. Not sure when they closed or if it’s temporary but there was a sign on the door to go to their sister hotel—Hotel Bernina—instead. Would’ve been nice to know this before we walked with all our luggage from the train station and passed Hotel Bernina on the way! So we dragged everything back and Hotel Bernina had our reservation; we checked in with no problems.

The worst treatment I had received in years! The receptionist refused to show me the room before pay and when I insisted he told me to go away and change hotel, I complained and he insulted me! The place if very basic. Not a place to stay.

The hotel cancelled our reservation 1 hour before the arrival. When we contacted the receptionist and just questioned about the situation, he laughed and said that we should look for another hotel. Terrible comunication. Even if it was a system error or so, he could be more polite. A note to the receptinosit - if you don’t want to work with people - do not work there!!
