It's a hilltop view point overlooking the sea and beaches. It's a wonderful place to view the sunset. Equally popular among the tourists and locals. There are restaurants on the hilltop and several eateries downhill. The weather is cool at the top and view is beautiful. Keep enough time in hand to relax and watch the sunset. Enjoyed my trip thoroughly to this picturesque hilltop.

The access to the location could be quite challenging for motorbikes, new car drivers, using small car users. The place is quite crowded during the weekends, it offers a breathtaking view of Parangtritis and its surrounding areas with the sound of the waves that can still be heard hundreds of meters below. There's also a food that can be ordered here while enjoying the beautiful view

A take-off point for paragliders and hang gliders on the Watu Gupit Hill in Giricahyo, Purwosari District, Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region near the popular Parangtritis Beach, Kretek District, Bantul Regency in the same province. A good vintage point for enjoying sunset with a direct view to the Indian Ocean, the Parangtritis Beach and the hamlet below. The basecamp has a clean toilet, musholla (moslem prayer place), a simple shop offering simple foods, snacks and drinks, and a parking lot. From the basecamp you can walk up through concrete steps to the top.

A superb experience to go there. Especially with your friend or family. You can literally see the beach from above there, but i need to mention you to be really careful when you reach the top, there's pretty much no protection around the sitting place.

What a best spot to watch sunset with an ice coconut and friend banana. It's a great place to visit when you are in Jogja. Meals are cheap. View is super cheap cause its free but amazed your mind and feeling. Its better to go here in sunset time and not in the weekend for sure.

Planning to see sunset but i came too late so i only enjoyed the scenery of ocean from the top. but it was good tho. they serve a table for enjoying the scenery but had to order something. ps: paid for Rp 30.000 (Rp 20.000 for Parangtritis area entering ticket and Rp 10.000 for Bukit Paralayang area entering ticket)

This is a hidden gem when you visit Parangtritis beach area. The hill that you can enjoy the seaview from the top. There is a nice restaurant that you can enjoy from the top of the hill. Recommended to visit.

place to visit if you wanna see sunset, but you have to be ready because there would be a lot of people and the place was a bit packed. the road is wavy and some are steep. have a bit of luck because the sun was covered by cloud 😅

What a beautiful place to visit during your vacation in Jogja. The entrance ticket was only 5K per person, and you will get these beautiful scenery. I really enjoy my time looking at the mix of beautiful beach and the wood. Def a place to enjoy sunset.

The ride up to this place was bumpy and it was like riding up a 45-degree angled slope. If you're going there by car, get one that has enough power because it can really get very steep. When walking up the stairs to see the sunset, do bear in mind that they can be very steep (basically this whole place is steep) so be careful. There were also so many people - I estimated at least 60. We didn't manage to get there in time to see the sunset because there was a super serious traffic jam, but we managed to catch the remnants of it. It was really pretty nonetheless and we stood there for a while just appreciating the beauty of nature. The waves that come and go at the shore add to its beauty too.

favorite place to enjoy the sunset in town. prepare the vehicle safely. because the journey to get to the destination is very uphill, you really need a healthy vehicle to get to your destination. and requires good braking to get down from the top because it is very steep.

Great place to witness the great landscape of Parangtritis Beach. Beautiful place to see sunset. But kinda danger here, because there is no fences at the edge of the clif.

Probably the best place to enjoy sunset in jogja. Can enjoy the sea & beach view and wind while waiting for sunset. if you are single, then you might feel bit lonely, as there are lot lot of couple watching sunset

I had so much fun that Sunday we decided to continue our fun trip to this place after having such a good breakfast in Depok Beach (you know what I mean, yes, fresh seafood for the meals). After around 2 kilometers of driving the car, we just got there. Only 500 meters walking, we arrived at the ticketing booth. To reach the hill's top, we had to walk step by step on the stairs, and for me, it was not easy. But when we were on the top, the view was so amazing. And these are some of the best pics I got. beautiful view but you better go in the late afternoon cause if not, it'll be really hot. there are a lot of stairs that you have to climb if you wanna get to the top to see the beach view. there are also quite a lot of food stalls so don't worry about getting starving here, as long as you have money you'll be fine. they don't sell food at the top of the hill though so buy it before climbing up

Bukit paralayang has the best combo view! You can see the beautiful view of Parangtritis beach and jogja's city light view in one place! Really recommend this place.

It's uphill from Parangtritis beach, you must pay again for going to this place, the fare is IDR5000 each person. Scenery from this place is wonderfull, especially if you come for sunset, there is plenty cafe and small stalls street food. And if you lucky, when the wheater is nice you can going paragliding from this place. Food is good, ambience is superb and the hospitality is best.
