Location is convenient. However the rooms are way below my expectation. Dimly lit, outdated rooms with worn out fittings and lumpy pillows. Really overdue for a proper renovation, especially considering many much newer hotels are in the area.

This is an old hotel facility. Room need to be improved such as crack on the wall, hair dryer not working, no bar soap. Breakfast experience is not good either. Came in 06:30, but waffle and pancake are not ready. No staff at this station. Well this is not the standard level I would expect from a Novotel hotel

Everything was okay, room was spacious and clean, staff were friendly, but the breakfast really was dissapointing. Nothing tasted good and seems like they used the cheapest ingredients they can find for everything. For the price point, we have experienced much better overall product at other hotel chains in Indonesia.

It’s impossible to give zero stars, otherwise I would give zero, the bathroom water came out as black, and when you call the front desk, guess what, I been told that I could use the toilet in the lobby and take shower in the gym. I will definitely mark down never stay in Novotel and share this story with you all!

Stayed here several times during this year as I’m accor member and often in transit in Semarang. Since now 2 weeks, only non alcohol beverages in the hotel, even platinum members can not get any wine or beer to chill in the evening. This is not appropriate a 4 star accor hotel. The rooms are ok, however the AC temperature can not be adjusted and it became very cold in the room overnight. Some linens and towels are very old and grey. Reception staff very friendly and try to compensate for the many shortcomings. Consider to look for alternatives than this hotel.

I was going to order dessert, ordered Panacota the waitress said it sold out, and the I ordered Tiramisu. After a while the waitress came back to inform that the Tiramisu also sold out. Seems that they were not aware what sold out item at that time. Eventually we ordered Bitterbalen which fortunately was taste good.

Great hotel, although a bit tired and needs a refurbish. - our rooms and linen were clean. Breakfast as much better than expected and we had a nice view.

Novotel Semarang offers very good package for long term stay. I stayed here for two weeks in September 2023; all the staffs were helpful especially Mas Alfian and all other drivers who always fetch us to and from work everyday. Very convenient. 👍 Very good location, in front of Paragon Mall. Suggestion for improvement: Add the variety of breakfast menu; example - sushi; also to change the layout of breakfast foods To add kids swimming pool or kids zone area (small playground would be suffice) Looking forward to visit Novotel Semarang again. Overall, Novotel Semarang is a good place to stay.

We are very happy to stay with Novotel. The hospitality is amazing. We had problem with the room - as it appears odor from smoking room for some reason can be smell from our room. The front desk provided a solution by switching our room the next day. Good job. The only issue I have is with the parking lot as it is quite tight. Small car might not have issue. The outdoor parking lot behind is also not convenient especially after rain. Bit flooded and smelly - water sewage. If you are lucky, just park next to the entrance or near lobby. Those are the best parking spots.

stayed here for long stay (>4months and still here) good service, helpful staff especially gym and cafe staff. -clean room, punctual daily cleaning and laundry -variety breakfast (also healthy, got jamu) -clean and well maintained gym -very friendly and helpful staff (open and close vehicle and hotel entrance door) -good water pressure for shower, the amenities is complete (for me) -tv channels >15 programs

Hotel is quite old - you can feel it in the rooms. Air condition is loud, shower does not work 100% properly. But price is reasonable. Lounge / bar is very nice and also breakfast is good.

Staffs very helpful. Stayed here for 2 nights, and able tp get a room with my preference. Room are very clean, I really love the view. But need to improve on the bathroom, because I stayed at Superior room and still got a lot space. Pool is nice, maybe can add changing room around pool area and also kids pool. Overall, I really enjoy stays here. Especially only walking distance to mall. Thanks!

Rooms are half done but not to a 4 star standard. Bathroom is old. Mould etc. No hand soap, face towel, hand towel provided. For the price its better to stay somewhere else than in a international brand hotel. No Taste in breakfast. Bit disappointed. Bath towel is so heavy and old. Like a rag. Bed head is designed for bigger bed but picture says other ways. Bathroom setup is not good . My home bathroom is better kept. Overall not a 4 star standard room.

What i love about this hotel is the front office staff is friendly and helpfull. Even though the room is kinda old but very spacious n clean. looking foward to stay there again

Old hotel that is still cozy. All the staffs are super nice. The room is nice, the gym and pool are cool. You can walk to mall and it's only 10mins walking to the legend Toko Oen. Their good foods for breakfast are the indonesian food, omellete, and coffee. The others are just okay. Maybe some desserts need bit improvement.

enjoyable stay at Novotel, strategic location close to the biggest mall in Semarang, breakfast was delicious but not varied, room cleanliness was five star quality even though Novotel Semarang was an old hotel but got a thumbs up in terms of room maintenance, the room smelled a bit of cigarettes but I tolerated it because what I ordered was indeed smoking room, the staff are very friendly and agile, especially one of the housekeeping staff is very professional and has very good knowledge, responsive and when he was working on my room, I was very surprised when I asked his age it turned out he was still 18 years old, which is extraordinary in the same class as Novotel, the staff is young & energetic, very good level of cleanliness, very friendly, very skilled when I asked about hotel understanding, of course I am a layman in the hotel sector, but the staff was very clear & thorough in explaining about the world of hospitality, asked politely and professionally, I don't know the staff's name because he he doesn't use a name tag, he wears glasses, amazing salute, bravo Novotel thank you for the experience🔥🔥

actually i just attend a wedding party and didnt stay. from what i saw, it is a great fancy hotel. the staffs i met are all kind and polite. the food in the party taste good.

I had some drinks n food in citrus bar. Mbak Tiara , Mbak Indah and Mas Ale served me with exceptional and warm service . I really appreciate their kind attention and customer care. Well done Novotel for having such a fantastic team

I stayed overnight here for a business trip, the hotel service was very friendly. I tried the gym and the gym equipment was quite complete. free towel and free water refill. the gym staff is very friendly

First visit to Semarang and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Wonderful staff service from point of check-in to dining. They have a restaurant at the ground floor with very delicious food- maggie goreng is a definite must-try!

The worst novotel I experience. All towels are smells. All sheets are grey in color with lots of stains. While working at table you will have accompanied with ants and bugs. I ended up not shower in the hotel.

I brought my family to stay in this Novotel Semarang for short holidays. This hotel is located in strategic location. If you want to go to the shopping malls, then you just cross the road and you can easily go to Mall Paragon City Semarang. There are a lot of restaurants near this hotel which are reachable by walking. If you want to find unique souvenirs, there are some souvenirs shop near this hotel. There is also big hospital nearby in case you have any emergency case The staffs were nice, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. The internet was fast and reliable. The hotel also provide swimming pool and gym so you can exercse there. I found that the gym equipment were well maintained. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was nice. There were many options, mostly Indonesian food. I think this is the right choice as the hotel can promote Indonesian food to foreign tourist. The parking lot maybe a little bit issue. There were not so many parking spaces. Luckily when we arrived the hotel was not so full otherwise I think it will not be easy to find parking lot. I think because the hotel was located in the center of the city so it is not easy to get a lot of land for parking lots. Overall, we have nice experience when we were staying in this hotel. I am looking forward to go back to this hotel again in the future.

It's spacious, it's have good spot in town, have nice view (like my photo) delicious breakfast, the bar is great, whrn it comes to novotel group u should never doubt the cleanliness, the hospitality, and the services, oh and it has coffee maker too, not just regular water heater. But unfortunately the pool space is too small for me, but it is okay

The Novotel Semarang is a decent hotel in Semarang. Guests will be comfortable here for a short stay in the city. However, I was not granted a free upgrade, even though I booked several rooms for a week. And the hotel tries to upsell for every need or stay extension. The hotel restaurant specializes in Indonesian cuisine, so don't expect too many international favorites. And the Novotel needs a renovation because there is evidence of black mold in many hallways, and we also found a cockroach in our sofa one night. Overall, the Novotel Semarang offers decent quality comparable to Accor management standards.

Quick and easy check in. Room clean and comfortable. Choice of T.V. channels. Room quiet but A.C. not that cool. Breakfast ok but a large wedding party beat us to some items e.g. sausages Simple check out. Staff all very polite throughout the visit.

Very good and affordable hotel on semarang down town. The rooms are good and clean, room layout is effective and I don't find any difficulties looking for power outlet. Quite near with tourism location like lawang sewu or simpang lima. It is also has pleasant atmosphere and very kind and helpful hotel staffs

Room is rather old, but the location is strategic in the city, near shopping malls and lawang sewu (famous tourist attraction). We got a nice sunrise view also during our stay

Good family hotel with decent swimming pool and spacious room. Like many hotels in Semarang the parking lot is very limited but when we got here with lots of stuff and elder people, the security assisted us and provide a perfect parking spot that makes our stay more convenient!

Room readiness is two hours from 2 pm, maybe full reservation today or required connecting room not ready yet. I am using ALL application, but room readiness .......Staff very helpful, parking use valets service. Room tidy and clean, air-conditioning good.

During my stay at Room 112 everything is very old. the floor, the bath room and the bath tube. The light is too dark. Difficult to find parking lot, due to tight space for parking. For me, for the room rate at idr 688,000 is pricey, compare with other hotel at the same rate. You can get better room and facility

Veryyyyy courteous staff.. Room is well kept... Neat and clean... Hotel is a bit old as per the design and furnishings of the room but well maintained. Strategic location with a big mall just bang across the hotel as well as a bit to the right.

Went to the spa and booked a 90 mins session. The masseuse took her clothes off and was only wearing a bra during the whole session because she said she was hot, this was very uncomfortable for me, even for Novotel standards, this is just meh. She kept on asking whether I wanted something more and kept on saying 'Masa cuma mau pijet aja?'. Started the session at 2, she came in at 2.10-2.15, by the time it was 3.15 she said 'its done, we still have another 15 mins what do you want to do, massage is boring'. I said thats it then Ill just go and take a shower and head out. Another thing is that, I did not have any cash with me, I am used to paying with cards or e-payment. She keeps on saying I should pay in cash and asked me repeatedly to go to the ATM first because she insisted I pay in cash give her some tips (which I did but she declined saying 'if its only this much, dont bother'). The whole experience is very uncomfortable. I keep wishing the whole 90 minutes end sooner. Fortunately, the gym staffs are polite. But believe me when I say, I will not come back for a spa. Update: Manager contacted me at the end of the day and offered a complimentary massage (they promised it will be done by a professional).

Stayed for first time, the service is bad. And, I guess the staff they got is working with no integrity, Damar or Dhamr. I paid the room by cash, but in my bill is not showing, I believe none should have this kind of attitude.

Had a fantastic stay here. The rooms, pool and dining areas were clean. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms very spacious. The staff were amazing, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was abundant and fresh. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely not hesitate staying there again on my next trip to Semarang. Well done to all the hard working staff at the Novotel. You made our stay such a pleasure

Rooms definitely need to be upgraded, but I think many of the upgrades have been postponed due to COVID. Bar/disco in the basement still closed, normally a cozy place to be.

Fake hotel...level is ibisevel. Very old room. Pastry corner is a joke: no fresh bread, no fresh juice. Breakfast level is like ibis, no more. I booked iron + table: 1rst they came without table...need to call 2 times...and table was totally destroy. Check in: 2 people stay on priority check and nobody want take care me and request to go to standard desk, even If I have gold member ....it is a joke...1rst time but last time. Even local people explain to me that this novotel is so bad.I let you see pictures below.

This hotel is quite old but still relavant. The rooms' have been renovated to make it relavant. The breakfast was ok but the variation of foods still need to be improved. My main concern was the bathroom floor was very slippery after shower, the should put rubber mat in there.

I had a fantastic experience with Novotel Semarang. Their room is spacious and the food is great. But what is remarkable is their spa service. I was not feeling good and I decided to take a one hour massage, and I felt better inatantly afterwards! Moreover, they have honest staffs. I had two incidents during the stay: (1) My son forgot his bagpack with a laptop inside in the lobby; (2) I accidently paid too much using the QRIS for the spa without realizing it. Both of the incidents were quickly resolved with the help of the staffs. The spa staffs even tracked me down the Instagram to tell me that I paid too much and they would like to transfer back the money. Overall, a very good experience, and definitely worth to visit again when you are in Semarang.

Can feel the old fashioned. Clean room. Friendly staffs. Complete fitness equipment. Breakfast menu just so so. Badly, found almost all desserts were empty. I met one guest, Indian, were complaining.

We enjoyed trying out several local meals during our stay because the food was great. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Semarang. Our trip was made more delightful by its location, facilities, and menu. The Wi-Fi, on the other hand, was a small flaw that may have been improved. Despite this, I would suggest this hotel to other travellers visiting Semarang.

we had horrible experience in this hotel as my daughter ordered chicken steak at 5:30am in the morning of 11 Feb. It came after a long time, but the chicken is very stiff & the meat is hard to chew. I suspect it is not yet defrosted properly or it is already expired. Today we have to go to doctor since last night my daughter keeps having to bear stomachache, multiple diarrhea & cannot even eat or drink. we will definitely not want to come back.
