There is no option to give 0 star. Hence giving 1 star. My father went here for cataract surgery. The Doctor who did the operation has done a irrevocable blunder. Due to which my father lost a vision in that eye. Even when we approach here for further treatment, they denied to provide documents, also did not give any proper response. They were very keen on hiding their mistakes. Don't go there... They are careless, arrogant. They play with innocent people lives

I've been visiting this place for many years. Good doctors. Hygienic environment. However, I don't suggest buying eye drops here. There was no mention of open date and not sure whether sterile methods are used for dilution. This needs to be looked into.

I visited this place for the first time last evening when I took my wife for an eye checkup. This place is very professionally managed and all the staff and doctors are very courteous. It was a delight to see that enough seating arrangements are in place and all the seats are cushioned and most comfortable. A very good ambience and excellent air conditioning in place. My wife underwent six or seven tests and through out these tests she was handheld and taken to the various rooms by the nurses, optometrist and other staff. The consultation charges is only Rs 500/- and there was no additional charges for the various tests done. I recommend Uma Eye Clinic as a one stop place for eye care.

A very good eye hospital. Good doctor. One of my colleagues once had a serious issue of retina detachment. He had his surgery at this hospital and we all were very happy to find that his eye sight is back to almost normal. Did Smile Surgery yesterday at Uma eye clinic. Dr. Aadhithreya Varman did the surgery. Dr. Arulmozhi Varman did the pre and post surgery check up. Had power of -1.25 in both eyes before surgery. Now have 6/6 vision and no power. Both doctors are very nice and walked us through the entire procedure. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. The surgery took no more than 20 minutes. Able to get back to everyday activities in 24 hours :)

I visited the hospital for a pre-checkup on September 02, 2022, for my laser vision correction treatment. The process was quick and smooth. The staff were very polite and explained the whole process. I underwent 4 to 5 tests that day, and the whole process was completed within an hour. I never even waited for more than 5 minutes in between the scans, and I got a chance to interact with Dr. Arulmozhi Varman. He was amazing and carefully evaluated my eyes. After two days of pre-checkup, I scheduled my laser surgery for Monday. Dr. Aadhithreya Varman performed the surgery. He was very pleasant and experienced. He explained the whole process very slowly for about 10 minutes before the surgery so that the patient would know what they were going through for the next 15 to 20 minutes during the surgery. My laser surgery went very smoothly and was successfully completed within 15 minutes. Then I had some checkups done by the staff and consulted with the doctor after my surgery, and I was asked to come for the check up today. The private hospital industry now relies more on google reviews, which needs to be authentic. Luring customers for 5 stars with 100rs discount is not ethical in any part. Funny part is they go to an extent of waiting for the customers to give 5 stars, confirming which they give the discount. Apart from this, the hospital is clean and tidy. They have latest equipment which will definitely give accurate results and saves time. Doctors are knowledgeable . If they focus on their services, they don't have to stoop to low levels of luring customers with discounts. I hope they change this and focus on what is important. They have bought enough revies now, time to CHANGE!

First time registration included with consultation costs 500 Rupees. Quality eye tests are done here and there's also a mini shop inside the hospital where you can choose frames and give orders for lens or spectacles. Doctors and hospital staff are courteous and devoted to provide the right diagnosis and solutions. They don't scare you away with expensive treatments and are reasonable giving practical solutions. Car parking is available but it's limited. They have magazines to keep you occupied while you wait to get your tests done. The founder seems to be well reputed with his participation in Rotary club activities and conferences to keep himself updated with the latest trends in Ophthalmology (you can notice this from the awards, trophies and magazines present in the waiting areas) Anyway, if you want to get your eyes checked, this is one hospital that you shouldn't miss.

The phaco training program at Uma eye clinic was very structured and good one. Dr Adhityareya verma sir was very good, down to earth and humble person. Case selection for the trainees was very good. Had a Lasik surgery for my left eye in the month of Feb 2019. Paid around Rs.80,000 for the same. My power was around -4.5, after surgery even after months i didn't have any clear vision. Dr. Arulmozhi Varman was the one who did the surgey. When i went to review and informed him that the vision is not cleared even after a month, he behaved rude with me. Even after 2 years my vision in left eye is not clear, its still around -3. But before surgey he promised me to have clear vision without any glasses. Beware.

No unnecessary chit chat, false hopes, promises, playing with patients hard earned money etc... You enter as a patient, tell your problem and you are treated with great care/respect with proper diagnosis and excellent treatment. Though this is a review on Uma Eye Care Hospital, I feel I should highlight the reason why I chose Uma Eye Care. So here is a short background story not to hurt anyone but my duty to share the truth so that whatever I suffered, others shouldn't suffer. This is more to create public awareness. I had LASIK done on my left eye and ICL on right eye last December 2018 by an eye doctor based in RA puram, Chennai. I was totally fooled by that eye doctor who cajoled me with his sweet talks but later realized he made a blunder in his diagnosis, treatment and continued to play with my money and eyes. I sensed something was wrong with my eyes after undergoing LASIK and ICL surgeries from that RA puram eye doctor. He stated with conviction that I was born blind and all VVIP's queue upto him for getting treated. He even went to the extent of blackmailing me. I consulted 5 other eye doctors and they all had unified opinion that mistake happened during the diagnosis phase itself and medical negligence resulted in increased IOP eventually Glaucoma. As a result, i lost 85% of my right eye vision. I was emotionally down and lost complete confidence in life. This is when I came to know about Dr. Arulmozhi Varman. After that, magic started in my life. What an incredible doctor!!! When I mentioned about my past experience with that RA puram doctor to Dr. Arul, he carefully lstened and not once he said anything bad about the other eye doctor. This in itself is a stamp of genuinety and professionalism. He spotted the problem and immediately started his treatment without accusing or blaming the other eye doctor. This impressed me the most about Dr. Arul. He let the patient pour out their problems and instead of talking about the problem and blaming the other doctor, he started with his excellent treatment. True class and highest level of professionalism. I was diagnosed with Glaucoma in August 2019. One of the major challenge in Glaucoma treatment is controlling IOP. When I met Dr. Arul for the very first time, he was quick to spot my problem and prescibed me with the correct treatment and medications. Since then, my eye pressure has been under control and I regained confidence in life that my vision will not be compromised as it is in very safe hands. It is rare to find a doctor like Arul. Discpline, dedication and honesty are his main portfolios. The staff are very polite, courteous and discplined.
