The place is full of histroy with exciting underground walks!!!

We had a wonderful tour of the casemates and it’s was really interesting with fantastic guide who took us underground to see the history of Luxembourgs Fort. The guide was very knowledgeable and speaks four languages to could translate easily. We really enjoyed the 45 min tour. This is not a tour for the disabled as it involves taking more than 200 steps down into the fort.

Much less crowded than the other casemates and we accessed this from Grund. Beautiful, open, peaceful, and a view of the city.

Nice journey into the past of the Luxembourg Fortress from the XVII Century up to WW 2. Lots of Steps to climb. Not suited for disabled people.

Great open area for walking and local events.

Bring a light (the phone, lantern, etc.) As some áreas are poorly lighted. As it is almost a cave and some spiral staircases, appropiate shoes help. Do not miss the views from both sides, specially the views of the Abbey.
