Restaurant Thai restaurant

😠 AVOID this place if you're hungry! We came here when only 2 tables was occupied. We waited 53!!!(sic) minutes before we got our TWO typical dishes. Nothing fancy or long-cooked. If the waiter said that we should wait around an hour - we'd say thanks but no and go elsewhere. The business was awful... People often mention Thai, good, thai, service, waiter, great,

If the waiter said that we should wait around an hour - we'd say thanks but no and go elsewhere. The business was awfully organized: 12 tables and one Chef. One waiter as well. P.s.If any Thai was told that Pad Thai had to wait for almost an hour - he would die of shame and cringe!

We had to wait long until someone noticed us, even though the restaurant was only half full. The food was okay, but nothing extra ordinary (not what the reviews were promising). The starter was very tiny and my curry was lacking depth. At the end the total amount was communicated to us orally (by a Portuguese man), and as we paid in cash, we didn't even get a receipt. This whole experience was a bit unprofessional and reminded me more of a developing country than of a Western European one.

The environment is nice. They had one waiter with long hair who was very kind even as he was overwhelmed with the volume of customers. Be prepared to wait a long time for your food. The restaurant has a very small kitchen that is understaffed, 1 cook, 1 assistant, and 1 waiter. After waiting around an hour the Tom Yum soup as a started we ordered was served. The Tom Yum was good, well seasoned and creamy with the coconut milk. After another half hour or so the main dishes were served. I would avoid getting the pad thai. The typically sweet, tangy and savory noodle dish was just purely salty. Maybe they confused the sugar for the salt in the hustle and bustle of the dinner service. I mentioned this to the waiter and the owner was called over to have a conversation with us. He immediately became very defensive. He told us that they never use salt in his dishes. And when I tried to explain that pad thai should be sweet and tangy he told me that “the restaurant has served thousands of pad thais and noone has ever told them that the flavors were not authentic.” I have never had anyone lecture me about the flavors of pad thai, I know what a pad thai is supposed to taste like and it just was not it. The rice noodles were also cooked al dente which is very incorrect. The beef kaw pao was flavored and seasoned well. No complaints there. Overall, the price is cheap, just don’t get the pad thai and try the curry dishes. Good spice level if that is what you like. Weirdly defensive owner, you can see from his responses to the other low reviews here on google. Curious to see if/how he’ll respond to this one.

We loved this Thai restaurant. We had heard from some expats that it was difficult to find spicy food in Braga but this lovely venue had a couple of very spicy sauces that were delicious. Beautiful starters and great massaman curries and such attentive service with great English from the owner. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

The service was friendly, they kindly provided us with english menu's and we felt very taken care of. There are vegetarian versions of many of the meals and the food was very good. I hope to come back. Thank you :)

Away from Thailand for 4 weeks, I really needed to eat the real Thai taste and the chef (Ms. Lakkana) did a great job with all possible similar herbs one could get from here. They used Thai jusmin rice !!Great selection of beers and wines to go with spicy foods, recommended by Jose, the expert. Atmospheres of a Thai bar by the sea. Highly recommended. Very friendly.

What a great find in Braga. Family owned, very tasty, authentic Thai. Soup was flavorful and glass noodles were excellent.

Added a star after visiting twice more. Excellent Tom Kha Ga coconut milk soup and Caiprinhas. Good Pad Thai (it was missing a bit of tanginess). Friendly service. Recommended.

Authentic Thai cuisine. The interior is on the older side and a bit dark. However, the food makes up for it. I really liked the Tom Yum soup. I believe the gentleman who served us was the owner of the place, he was very kind, attentive and helped us choose one of the dishes.

Our experience was very good. I was in and Thailand and liked the good in the good restaurants. This place has thai cooks and they prepare an excellent, original Thai food. The photos are of our meals after we ate a little, so the amount is more then in the pictures.

Amazing and authentic Thai food, I felt like I was back in Thailand. The attention to detail in the decor also makes for a great experience. Definitely recommend if you're going to Braga!

Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff. The ladies cooking are Thai and can make it extra spicy, if you ask and that's what you're looking for. Best Thai in Braga, full stop!

The interior is wonderful. Staff is nice. Was not my favorite Pad Thai though. Still, a good dine-in Thai option.

To say that I had some of the best Thai food in my life in Portugal was the biggest surprise of my trip there. The cozy environment and friendly service by the husband and wife duo here was amazing. The chef came out and talked with us and made us feel welcome. She truly is an artist and pours herself in to her art. So grateful for experiencing this little hidden gem.
