This is a beautiful arch, one of the entrances to the city of Braga. It never had a door, which gave birth to an idiomatic expression in Portugal: when someone forgets to close a door, anywhere in the country, the common way to politely call their attention to that fact is asking "Are you from Braga?"

Nice photo spot, but as of Sept 27, 2022 there is construction on the houses next to the arch on the sunset side, so you won't get a good sunset picture.

It's a historical monument, nothing too exciting, but a great place to grab lunch as there are several restaurants around it. It has great details and it's a great place to take photos as the environment around it is very interesting with the contrast between the old and new.

Old city gate. Nothing noteworthy but leads you onto Braga's commercial and historic centre. Quite a climb from the railway station.

This is a photo opportunity not somewhere that you visit. Lovely old stonework. The arch now marks the entrance to a pedestrianised road into the centre of the city.

The traditional Cod and homemade chips were excellent! The service was too. The server spoke English and the menu was in English too.
