Visit
in
December
2023
after
booking
in
May
Our
disappointment
was
palpable
during
our
visit
in
December,
both
in
terms
of
the
service
and
the
cuisine,
despite
our
reservation
made
in
May.
Having
had
the
opportunity
to
savor
the
creations
of
this
renowned
chef
in
his
former
restaurant,
and
with
extensive
knowledge
of
other
starred
establishments
in
Belgium
and
Europe,
the
flavors
we
expected
were
unfortunately
absent.
Although
the
place
is
aesthetically
pleasing,
the
temperature
in
the
restaurant
was
cold
(to
the
point
where
the
lady
next
to
us
had
to
cover
herself
with
a
blanket).
The
toilets,
meanwhile,
seemed
to
rival
the
North
Pole
in
terms
of
temperature.
The
service,
run
by
cooks
who
also
took
on
the
role
of
waiters,
turned
out
to
be
a
disaster.
Despite
the
appreciable
conviviality,
it
is
essential
to
emphasize
that
we
were
in
a
Michelin-starred
restaurant,
and
not
in
an
informal
place
of
relaxation.
The
sommelier,
sporting
a
haughty
and
condescending
attitude,
moved
around
the
restaurant
with
inappropriate
arrogance.
The
jokes
thrown
at
his
colleagues,
although
tinged
with
humor,
did
not
seem
appropriate.
Service
lacked
consistency,
with
cooks/waiters
forgetting
items
such
as
sauces
etc.
As
for
the
presentation
of
the
dishes,
although
the
house
smoked
elements
were
appreciated,
the
manner
in
which
they
were
arranged
left
something
to
be
desired.
The
products
were
undeniably
quality,
but
the
idea
of
serving
finely
cut
raw
mushrooms
as
yet
another
course
can
be
questioned.
In
addition,
desserts
announced
in
two
courses
were
presented
in
one.
In
conclusion,
this
experience
will
not
encourage
us
to
return,
and
we
will
not
recommend
this
establishment.
The
cost
of
the
ticket,
amounting
to
€478
for
two
people,
reminds
us
that
at
this
price,
other
establishments
offer
more
satisfying
culinary
experiences.
