The Ourthe canal at this location is very pretty. A few small boats are moored and people live there. In fact the Ourthe canal is much more than what you can see there. It is a project undertaken at the beginning of the 19th century to connect the Meuse and the Moselle by water. It was William I of the Netherlands who started this project to promote the region of his country. All this before the separation between Belgium and the Netherlands. The canal was never completed and today only small sections remain here and there. A Google search will give you the locations.

A truly bucolic place, this little paradise hidden between industry and housing deserves more attention.

Very nice little place to walk in a rural place or even quieter than rural in the middle (well on the side but we understand 🤪) of the city of Liège.
