Relativ kleine Ausstellung zum guten Preis Nicht zu klein und nicht zu groß! Perfekt um sich zu inspirieren und nicht lang genug um langweilig zu werden

Good museum at the heart of a beautiful park. Lots of trees to shelter from the sun or rain as you walk down to the museum. A few masters in their collection.

Great permanent collection. Just €5 entry. Set in a lovely building by the water surrounded by parklands. Lots of fabulous impressionist and neo impressionist paintings. Signac. Monet. More modern works too. Ben Nicholson. Loved it!

Another little known gem in Belgium. Musée de la Boétie in Liège hosts an remarkable collection of Belgian and international artwork. The temporary exhibition "les collectionneuses Rothschild" was particularly interesting, a reflection of 2 centuries of European art and history.

The collection is not that big, but does have some beautiful masterpieces from different times periods and different countries. Would recommend to visit if you are in Liege and like art.

An elegant neoclassical building houses a delightful collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artworks. During my visit, there was a change in exhibitions; unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to view the permanent collection, but I was not disappointed. It is a must-visit if you love art and are visiting Liège

Nice place to visit for 1-2 hours when you're in Liege. Permanent collection is rather small, but there are usually thematic exhibitions held in this museum. The museum building is located in a picturesque park.

Nice museum, that tries to fill the gap for a (quasi) contemporary art space in Liège. However, don't be fooled, as is more like a fine arts museum stuck in the year of 1900 than something else. It doesn't have the ambition to be something more, despite the occasional temporary exhibition that tends to focus on more recent art. Do not expect multimedia installations, thought-provoking discussions on art practice, video art, or any of the things that can increasingly be found on modern art museums. This is domesticated art, curated and chosen to sit nicely and without disruption on the wall of some regional bourgeois benefactor's mansion (some of them even associated with this museum). They even have watercolor contests (!!) - see image. Worth a visit, but try to clear your mind of your usual art museum expectations before setting foot there, or you will be disappointed.

Sorry, but not my cup of tea. Too expensive for what it is. The B. Viola exhibitation was boring and not really what I would considered art. There are maybe 4 or 5 paintings really worth seeing in the gallery. The staff are really nice though. The part I enjoyed the most was the Souvenirs Boutique....

Nice museum on walking distance from the main railway station via the Passerelle La Belle Liégeoise over the river Meuse. The museum is located in a quiet park. The museum has a permanent exhibition area and temporary exhibitions in a large gallery The museum is housed in the former Palais des beaux-arts de Liège, built in the Parc de la Boverie for the Liège International in 1905 which was a very large international fair of which the museum is the only building left

Really nice museum, when I went there they were also hosting another exposition (Rothschild). I got to see their permanent collection and it’s really interesting (not so extensive, but it’s got important names). The museum is located inside a nice park - check it out. The permanent collection is free for students and there’s a cafe inside the museum.

very nice exhibition of Rothschild collection. interesting and intriguing objects and works, displayed in a pleasant way. It was busy, but you could view the works undisturbed at any time. Very friendly staff.

Very good permanent collection and we were lucky to catch the Rothschild temporary exhibition.

Presentation is very crowded - paintings have not enough room to enjoy them. Found the lighting downstairs pretty dark. Liked the ongoing local gallery/ artist presentation though.

Possibility of having soya milk with your coffee. Cloak room, lockers availabla and free rest rooms. Little shop with books, handcrafts, postcards and bijouterie

Nice collection, especially from the 19th and 20th centuries. There are also some classical artworks from Wallonie and more recent ones. It is a good idea to separate a couple of hours in order to see everything with no rush. The information in the museum is presented in French, Dutch, German and English. Entry for the permanent exhibition costs 5€ (adult).

Small to medium sized museum set in a beautiful park. Has a nice selection of art from medieval to modern times in its permanent collection. Mostly paintings but also some sculpture. Notable pieces include some acquired in the 1939 Lucerne art auction from artists as Gauguin, Picasso, Delvaux, Magritte etc. I also especially enjoyed the temporary exhibition from Ransonnet. Nice café with snacks and sandwiches within the museum, with a terrace and view of the park. Also, since it's not noted on their website: visit is free if you have a Belgian museum pass.

Do no hesitate ! It is such a nice place, everything there looks good, smells good, tastes good 😉 We went there and didn't even do the museum. You will enjoy a nice view on the park around.

The rich collection of this museum takes its place in a beautiful building of 1905、created for the world's fair in Liège that attracted 7.000.000 visitors. The collection is fairly impressive and includes artworks of the greatest masters. The temporary exhibitions are always very well made、which is not surprising as Le Louvre is generally involved. The museum boutique and restaurant (nice specialty of bagels) are interesting. A very nice place that you must see if you are in Liege.

Beautiful building in a beautiful park. The collection is big and diverse enough, although it wasn't necessarily our taste. The museum guards are making a lot of noise with their phones, which greatly disturbs the atmosphere.
