I travel a lot through my job and never have I ever encountered such a poor customer service as the one from Univers Hotel. The receptionist kept hanging off in my face and explained me that they could not refund me because it is the 'crisis', how rude was this person ! To avoid absolutely and if I were the manager I would definetely not reconduct the contract of that receptionist

Very nice first impression of this classy hotel. Everyone is quit helpful and friendly. However. The last 2 weeks of my 26 nights stay. There efforts grew slim and neglecting. Unfortunately it's the small things that count and I was slightly less impressed in the end. With the kitchen producing great food every time. And easily accessible from the Liege train station. All in all. Just 3 starts form me.

Very nice. Accepable prices. Very good location, especially IF you travel by train or bus. The restaurant is really excellent, simplex interiör. All effort into the food!

Very clean room and bathroom. I didn’t know that this price doesn’t include breakfast.

The only thing dirtier than this hotel is their staff.

We stayed here recently while visiting the F1 Grand Prix at Spa. Liège is an excellent base from which to visit Spa, and the Hotel de l’Univers is ideally located with restaurants, supermarkets, parking and train station all within walking distance. Service was excellent, although the staff were clearly busy. Would recommend.

Not a "nice" hotel... The pictures do not tell the full story. Comfortable, relatively clean but generally messy and nit really welcoming. Will not be staying there again.

Excellent location: Walking distance from the train station. Central location. Great service: The receptionist lady helped me throughout my stay. They are very flexible with additional requests. Rooms are nice and cozy and clean. Highly recommend. And would definitely stay again.

This hotel looked much better in the advertised photos than in reality. I was disappointed for what I paid, as it looked quite run down, but I guess it depends on how much you can get it for. The staff were nice.

A respectable budget hotel not far from the centre of Liege. Rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate for a few nights rest. Very friendly, helpful staff. Good value continental breakfast. Easy parking at the secure garage across the street - ask the hotel for a reduced price parking ticket (10Euro a day).

A hotel located conveniently next to the train station. The hotel personnel were very friendly and welcoming. The facilities were not so much. The room and bathroom were not at all up for the standard advertised. The room smelled slightly of mold. The bed was so-so. The shower cabinet was pretty much at the end of its life cycle. Also, the shower head was directly attached to the wall, making it difficult to shower – particularly for a tall person.

The biggest jambonneau I have ever had! Good service and good food! There is a big terrace in the back if you want to enjoy the Belgian summer. We stumbled upon this place by chance and I think it is the best around the station for a quick bite and for a relaxed meal.

We had a nice clean room with a TV but would have liked to have a kettle. The staff were very friendly and it was a good welcome to the country. The location is ideal as well for the train station. We didn't have any food there.

Having called booking.com and the hotel many times they charged my prepaid creditcard twice in oktober 2020. First blocking an amount on this card, second let me pay on arrival. Got promised in two languages they'd deblock the amount of the night rate as soon as we left. Months later this still didn't happen. Filed a complaint through booking.com sending proof the still refuse to pay us back and tell me the reimbursed us. They on the other had don't show any proof they did (which is fcourse impossible anyway) . What a scam. Avoid.
