Came here for an eye measurement so I could purchase prescription glasses. However when I received my glasses they didn't seem right so I came back to have them checked, turns out the glasses were correct but my eye measurement wasn't. When they retested me shortly after I got a different result. So now I have to buy new glasses because they made a mistake, doesn't feel right at all. I would advise against coming here.

this business is boosting their reputation on google with fake five star reviews after I gave them a bad one. Staff are rude and refused to apologise. AVOID AT ALL COSTS previously it had two one star reviews but many more have been added since by fake/paid review accounts.

Had 2 experiences with Mr. Riestra, both times he was rude. I called because I had sudden blurriness on one eye and with my high myopia there's a big risk for retina detachment and holes. I was told to come in for an 'emergency appointment' (2 days later). When he found that my retina was okay I was scolded for taking up his time. I was literally told "I don't care that you feel uncomfortable and exhausted because one eye is blurry. as long as the retina looks okay I don't care about your experience." One more on the list of doctors who don't take their (female) patients' experience seriously.

Efficient, friendly and professional. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. Underwent cataract surgery with good results. Good experience with both doctors.

Even though I was not a regular patient in this eye clinic in the center of Leuven, the first telephone contact was very friendly, and I was immediately allowed to come by for an emergency appointment. I was also treated very friendly at the reception, by the intern and by the ophthalmologist himself. The entrance door has one small step, but all examination rooms are wheelchair accessible and therefore recommended for people with disabilities. There is parking nearby (shop and go place) or the underground payment car park Ladeuze.

After a first visit to the eye clinic and after reading some of the comments here, my feeling is that I will never return. Too bad, but there are plenty of other practices...

Dr. Brigitte Lauweryns does not seem professional enough. I have high myopia and it is difficult to measure (-25). Previous times they had not been able to take such an accurate measurement, so today I decided to ask for more explanations because I was concerned. Dr. First of all, Brigitte was very impatient and did not want to answer any questions. I decided to ask questions anyway because it was my right. I asked her if her devices were more accurate than the devices used at other places I have been. Her answer: - Yes, they are more accurate. Then I asked why. And she said: - Because I'm a doctor. Because it is. In other words, she just has no knowledge and wanted to use her authority. I just had to keep quiet and accept her nice diploma as an argument. I also asked if she could help me with a problem I have in my right eye (it always gets tired after 1am when I look at a screen, but not when I look at a laptop). She didn't take time to think and said way too quickly: - There's no explanation for it. Bon, this lady just doesn't have the skills to work with people + doesn't have the mindset of a doctor (if a doctor doesn't know something then he/she is open to learning from it and finding out things). It was also annoying that she kept talking in English because I'm a foreigner, while I was speaking perfect Dutch (no one starts talking to me in English). Another sign that she is not present. She just doesn't pay attention to the person in front of her. I definitely won't be coming back.

I had a very unpleasant experience with dr. Brigitte Lauweryns. Her high level of stress made my 3 years old son annoyed. She was reluctant to explain despite of her duty as a doctor. It was a waste of our time with her.

I have been a client of Dr. Zonnevylle for years. Always super friendly, cheerful and with a lot of expertise. She makes time to answer all your questions or do research if necessary. I have already moved, but I will definitely keep coming back here.
