We had a 2 hour beginners surf lessons with Aqia surf and we were able to stand up on our boards right away! Our surf instructors Hendra and Ageq were really good! They treated us like friends, having good banter and even teaching us Indonesian words whilst teaching us to surf. The next morning we went back to them just to rent the board initially but later decided to go for another lesson to learn the timings of catching the waves a bit better and we were definitely catching waves on own much better after! Even after our lesson, they still watch us from their warung and comment on our surfing to help us correct the mistakes and improve. They also take you out on a boat to surf on different sites when they think you are ready. The company was recommended by the owner of our lodge as he said that his guests have been coming back with good feedback from them. They have a very competitive price compared to the other surf schools by the beach, they also let us borrow the boards for the rest of the day after the lessons so we can practice! The food was really good and very affordable as well! We definitely recommend them if you are in Selong Belanak! Their whole team have been really helpful and friendly to us! Honestly couldn't have stumbled across a better surf school. Professional teachers willing to teach and challenge you somewhat to become a better surfer... It's a proper family business so you do feel welcome. The food is great too!

Aqia is a definetely place to go and get a board with instructor when you’re in Lombok. We have been surfing with them for 4 days. Selong Belanak is a perfect place to practice and if you’re confident enough you’ll be able to go open water surf with them. Ono is very helpful with his brothers and they make sure that you learn correctly how to surf.

The best people on Selong Belank! We rented boards here and my sister took a class, and after few years of being scared to stand on the board she did it! Why? Because instructors in Aqia are the best! Humble, amazing people who enjoy doing what they do. We had such an amazing time there, really hoping to come back! They have a very relaxed vibe in this place (not like in others on the beach where they are screaming constantly in order to attract new tourists). We also had some nasi gorengs, good.

We can highly recommend the team at Aqia Surf. Very professional, courteous, and very open about their prices and services. We felt in good hands every time we surfed with them. We definitely will come back when we are in Selong Belanak area!

We had a great week surfing with Ono and his team. All surf guides are very professionell and first of all extremly friendly. We all the time felt safe in the water and Ono helped us to reach the next level in surfing. He every day tries to find the perfect spot according to your skill level and the conditions. Additionally he showed us some special spots, having the waves almost for our own. I mostly surfed with Young! Couldn‘t ask for a better teacher🤙🏻 I can fully recommend Aqia surf school and we will for sure come back! Had such a great time surfing with Aqia surf! Azis is such a good instructor, who makes the whole time super safe and fun! I had taken lessons before I came to Lombok and I’ve never had an instructor help me with my progression so much so quickly! Definitely recommend getting lessons or guiding with Azis when in Lombok! Plus they will take you to surf spots that are not known, we were the only ones surfing

I went to these guys from aqia surf, I couldn't serf because my leg was injured, but I observed their lessons and I have to say that they are fantastic! I also thank them for their kindness towards me... ps. and congratulations on the food! really superb at great prices! if you pass by here, I recommend you stop by them, you won't be disappointed..

It was such a pleasant experience surfing with Aqia Surf! I made appointment first on whatsapp (you dont need to do this and can just go to selong belanak beach and find them) kak Ono and kak Aji was so helpful during the surfing lesson! It was a 2 hours surfing, and i had a really great time!

I loved my surf lessons at Aqia, the beach at Allezg Belanak is breathtaking, I encourage you to go there and the waves are perfect for beginners! Not much paddle and beautiful waves, I recommend 100%

We were warmly welcomed by Ono and his team. He shared with us some hidden surf spots, shared his culture and famous Bau Niale, and welcomed us in his demicious beach restaurant where the whole family was so nice and friendly with our family. A great 4 days in South Lombok !
