Dr.
Justin
Popovic,
1894-1979
,
Vranje
The
inexhaustible
treasure
of
the
Spirit,
Dr.
Justin
Popovic,
former
professor
at
Theology
Faculty,
who
was
removed
in
1946
from
the
department
by
the
atheist
regime.
From
1948
to
1979
he
was
a
priest
of
the
Monastery,
putting
a
strong
seal
of
personal
charisma
on
the
monastic
life.
The
exceptional
love
and
understanding
of
the
nun
towards
his
Avi
enabled
him
to
be
fully
committed
to
the
writing
work.
Father
Justin
completed
two
faculties:
theological
and
philosophical.
He
spoke
fluently
in
four
languages
(Greek,
Russian,
German
and
English);
and
in
translation
he
served
with
11
dictionaries.
In
addition
to
the
great
scholarship,
Avin
is
an
esoteric
and
prayerful
spirit.
He
daily
served
the
Holy
Liturgy
until
his
death,
praying
to
the
Sweet
Jesus
for
the
salvation
of
the
human
race.
Saint
Ava
Justin
Celijski:
a
great
theologian,
philosopher,
vocabulary,
apprentice,
prayer-book,
glossary
-
a
lighthouse
of
the
Spirit
which
shines
like
a
sun
in
the
darkness,
a
saint
that
enlightens
all
the
spiritual
souls
of
the
Holy
Spirit,
whose
Holy
Grave
is
laid
in
the
Celia
Monastery,
represents
the
spiritual
foundation
of
the
future
the
greater
significance
of
the
Monastery
that
justifiably
carries
the
epithet
"a
pearl
in
the
hand
of
God
and
a
paradise
on
earth",
which,
along
with
Lelić,
is
the
Spiritual
capital
of
the
Serbian
people,
because
of
the
other
spiritual
master
of
Bishop
Nikolai
Lelicki.
The
great
reputation,
thanks
to
Father
Justin,
has
a
monastery
in
the
entire
Orthodox
world.
To
his
successors,
Ava
left
a
testament
to
announce
his
work,
with
the
net
income
going
to
the
St.
John's
Gold
Trust,
with
the
aim
of
raising
a
triolar
temple
in
honor
of
St.
Sava
(central
altar),
St.
Jutina
Filosofa
(south
altar),
Sv.
Mary
of
the
Egyptians
(northern
altar),
in
the
Celia
Monastery,
if
possible.
Born
in
Blagojevica
in
1894
in
Vranje,
Ava
Justin
moved
to
heavenly
settlement
on
the
Blessing
in
1979,
for
which
he
was
given
the
name
of
Blagoja
at
the
birthplace
-
he
blessed
the
Gospel
of
Christ
with
his
life,
part
and
word
throughout
his
whole
life.
His
ascetic
feats,
prayers,
the
love
of
the
Gospel,
are
only
fully
known
to
God,
and
he
left
the
Orthodox
Church
with
an
extensive,
miraculous
and
bogonadahnuto
work
of
theological,
philosophical
and
liturgical
character
in
the
volume
of
33
volumes,
as
well
as
12
volumes
of
"The
Life
of
the
Saints"
for
the
first
time
prepared
in
Serbian.
The
tomb
of
the
Holy
Father
Justin
is
located
on
the
south
side
of
the
altar.
According
to
his
wishes,
the
tomb
has
no
other
monument
to
the
axes
of
the
most
common
stone
cross
and
flowers
on
the
moon.
