Radoinjsko
lake
Radoinj
Lake
is
an
artificial
lake
located
in
the
southwest
of
Serbia,
downstream
of
the
Uvac
River,
and
is
the
third
artificial
lake
after
the
Uvac
and
Zlatar
Lakes.
It
is
an
integral
part
of
the
Uvac
Special
Nature
Reserve.
Zlatibor
and
15
kilometers
from
Nova
Varoš.
It
was
created
by
building
a
dam
43
km
from
the
confluence
of
Uvac
and
Lim.
The
dam
is
40
meters
high
and
150
meters
long.
The
lake
is
wedged
between
steep
limestone
banks
and
is
11
kilometers
long
with
a
maximum
depth
of
30
meters.
The
Radoinj
lake
is
extremely
rich
in
fish
stocks,
which
include:
bream,
chub,
flounder,
flounder,
barbel,
saran
Another
inhabitant
that
is
located
on
the
cliffs
of
the
lake
makes
this
lake
exceptional,
it
is
the
griffon
vulture,
which
is
considered
our
bird
of
prey,
with
a
wingspan
of
2.8
meters
and
a
weight
of
7.5
to
8.5
kilograms.
On
the
cliffs
of
Radoinjsko
jezera
2014
.year,
22
pairs
of
griffon
vultures
were
counted,
while
a
year
later
there
were
24
pairs,
which
shows
us
that
the
number
of
griffon
vultures
has
been
increasing
over
the
last
two
decades.
Uvac
currently
numbers
400
to
500
individuals,
approximately
110
breeding
pairs.
A
little
piece
of
paradise
is
interesting
for
both
tourists
and
residents
of
the
surrounding
towns.
Silence,
peace
and
wilderness
characterize
this
lake,
which
is
a
frequent
stopover
for
many
tourists.
