A vegetarian restaurant nestled in the temple grounds. You have to find a seat, make your way to the counter to order and pay, then take the slip out to collect your food from the different food and drink stations. A bit of a hastle to be honest because there are no queues and you are muddling your way about. The thosai, i have to say, is one of the best i've had. You help yourself to the lovely dhal. Tried a samosa and vaddei - these were passable. Drinks were expensive.

Shop is kept clean. Food handling is excellent. You only need order and pay at the counter and collect your food and drinks from the respective stations. The food is not tasty and quite expensive. The 3 stars is just for the cleanliness.

One of the few food shops located at the entrance of Batu Caves. This is a vegetarian shop and they have options of rice, fried items, snacks and drinks. Food/Drink: We had their vegetarian banana leaf rice. Served with 4 different option of vegetables (refill of vegetables and rice is chargeable). And they left the curry for us to take as much as we need. The vegetables are well cooked. Curries were quite tasty. It was quite satisfying. Ambience/Location: Shop is quite large and ventilation is sufficient. They have fans throughout. And shop is relatively clean. Service: Staffs are attentive and helpful and explained the menu to us. Ordering took a bit of time, but was ok. Price: Price is a bit on the higher side. Extra portions are chargeable for rice and also vegetables. Recommendation: It's convenient to eat here if visiting. They also have fresh coconuts. When to visit: Anytime during opening hours.

First of all, this is a south Indian restaurant, Pure vegetarian. The food was good. Whatever I ordered (Dosa items) tasted authentic. The tea was a different story - Not sure whether that is Malaysian style. Hygiene was average. The price, I felt is very nominal for Malaysian standards. It was crowded, hence must be pretty popular

Its a simple restaurant with many South India food options. Pure Veg too. May be it is after the reviews, the service guys were friendly. The food was good but it was bit pricey, may be considering the location.

A plastic-chair Indian restaurant serving authentic Tamil fast food. Crowded, quite nominal sanitary conditions, i finally ended with some paratha or roti which was very good, simple and safe. Try their watermelon smoothie)

While exploring Batu Caves, I was looking for roti paratha to have with tea. Found this restaurant just beside the cave area and decided to give it a try. Ordered just roti Parotha with plain tea, roti Parotha is served with aloo bhujia and there are chutneys alongside which you can take as much as you want. Roti Parotha was fresh and soft, it gets hard if it’s not fresh so if it’s soft you can tell it’s fresh.

Definitely a great place to taste Indian food and a bliss for the vegetarians. The cost is also reasonable.

My first Indian food in Malaysia, right next to the Batu caves main gate. Friendly service, cheap and very tasty vegetarian food. Also not too spicy for Europeans :)

If you're going for an authentic experience, you'll get it. Set your expectations right and you will have a 5* star experience. The food is tasty but it is simple (have I already mentioned it's authentic?). The service is very accommodating and I felt they treated us better as foreigners (e.g. steel cutlery offered).

This restaurant cannot handle big crowd from same family at one go. Very poor management and orders were haywire throughout the period. Later, I have seen the poor reviews which also mentioned the above but I don't think the restaurant care any of the customer complaints rather than ignore it since the people has no other option.

The restaurant only serves south Indian food. We ordered thali and special uthapam. Food is yummy. Dal and coconut chutney Felt like homemade. We will definitely recommend it if you are visiting batu caves. The staff went an extra mile, understanding our urgency and served us on priority.

It is known that if you want to eat breakfast near Batu Caves, the best one is Indian. We had this thought in mind when we came to this place and we were not wrong. A wide selection of various baked goods - roti, naan, thosai, samosas, etc. gives you opportunity to eat a really good meal, and the added chutneys highlight and complement the whole thing well. However, there is a lack of diversity, because each dish is served with exactly the same three sauces, which means that everything can taste quite similar. But chai masala deserves special mention - this tea is perfect, and the power of cardamom and ginger wonderfully warms the body and stimulates action. Place worth of visit.

Lovely banana leaf vegetarian food very expensive for a simple meal. There is only one toilet available for a big crowd restaurant. Public toilets are extremely bad in Batu Caves.

I went to this restaurant with my and relatives on 24/12/2022. We all order breakfasts. The food quality was really awesome. The taste of sambar & chutney was delicious. The tosai and vadai was really good. I'm an food lover and I went to so many restaurants before having tosai all. But this is the only restaurant I found a best taste and best quality. The service also was really awesome. The staffs and the owner was really friendly. Tq for the best service. Keep going like this.

👍 Came here for second time, first time myself and this round with a group of friends. So we actually ordered almost every food in the menu. I like their wa tan ho (滑蛋河), fish porridge and fried chicken with namyu. The mee goreng mamak and the kou rou beehun (扣肉米粉) are both not my taste, will...
