Online ticket booking is highly recommended. They put on the animal show every 2 hours from 10.30am. The zoo area is quite big and we had extensive walking exercise. The monkeys are very extroverted. Love the sign boards in Dino park.

Good experience here! They got a new attraction - dinosaur park (already included in the ticket). Got a lot of cafe inside, no worries. Got mango float also. User friendly. Stroller and wheelchair friendly also. It's a good place to bring your kids, friends and family.

Entrance fee is not required for Dinosaur Encounter for now (not sure in the future), it’s included when you purchase ticket for the Zoo. Much better condition after the upgrade. We took the night safari and the best zoo experience ever. Might be the best zoo condition in Malaysia currently. Dinosaur park is also awesome! Free train ride, free ranger tour at each compound, free access to dinosaur park, have animal show. Really a nice place to bring kids. Night time tour is better since a lot of the animals are active.

The place is huge, I got 11,000 steps alone in here. Staff was professional & friendly. There are a lot of attractions. The dinosaur's park is amazing, many species there. However, just like other public places in Malaysia, the toilets here needs urgent attention. They have plenty space tu seat & eat too. However, one of the food seller was smoking, even there were a lot children & babies nearby.

Our 4 year old really enjoyed himself here until we told him one of us was missing, caught by Dino. So this place actually looks realistic. Like how they have the props, plants around. This was our last stop, glad that we came.

Visited on Saturday and it was so crowded but kudos to the management team to be able to handle all the crowd well. So sad to see a few animal that were there before now gone. New product which is the dinosaur encounter is really fun to watch too. I advice anyone to bring umbrella or hat when they enter the zoo cause the weather can be so hot. There are a lot of seller inside the zoo selling food and drinks.

Excellent zoo with very rare animal species only seen at this zoo, including the white peacock and Eurasian Lynx. The white tiger and black panther are other superb exhibits not to be missed! Highly recommended.

Better than Zoo Negara. We can see the animal closely, some of them provide feeding section, saw a lot of kids really enjoyed at here. This place is huge, they do provide cabby service, the dinosaur park is a nice attraction too, ticket price is included in it. Overall worth to visit.

It was my first time visiting Melaca zoo. Location for car parking wasn't convenient as there were to many cars around so we had to park our vehicle far from the entrance. Take along water, an umbrella or wear a cap so that you won't be exhausted during walking around the zoo. Drink and snack stalls are available inside. It's a large area well maintained. 👍 Since we visited in the afternoon, most of the animals were sleeping. The newly opened Dinosaur Park is highly recommended. There were also some animal shows. You can ride on the tram or the buggy if you dont want to walk.

We always love Melaka Zoo. We arrived a bit early and were able to feed the 🦒. My boys were amazed so as me. The Petting Zone was really fun. The bunnies were very cute and very tame. My 4 year old boy really had fun feeding them. The Dino Park was still in progress. We will definitely go there in the future. 😍

Have so many types of animals and the animal park is very big as it will take around 3-4 hours to look around the places. Dinosaur park also looks very realistic and amazing. We paid for the entry fees, however we was also charged seperately for the photos, feeding the animals and also to have a closer looks for certain animals. (Reptiles, guinea pig ans etc) Other than that, it was fun and good experience.

Very surprising zoo. This zoo has Malayan Tapir! This zoo also has some shows at certain times! So during that show, you can see the animal skills, and many more! I went here for an event trip. It's not very dirty in my opinion. You can feed the animals E.g. Giraffe, Bird, Cows and many more.

We explored Zoo Melaka on weekdays, and it was not crowded as we expected. We enjoyed ourselves maximum with the kids. Kids did horse riding, flying monkeys, and lastly, feeding the bird. It's an excellent experience for them to provide the parrots and peacocks.

Came when the day was raining but it didn’t stop the whole family from enjoying the day. A bit hectic when queuing to claim tickets since online buyers needed to queue in the same line with others but eventually managed to get in. Place has improved and feels fresh compared to the last time I came here few years back. There’s even a space for dinosaur exhibits namely Dinosaur Encounter which is cool.

Was here two weeks ago for my son birthday vacation. I never been to Zoo Melaka before but i am quite impressed with the place. It was about 5km walking to complete the journey at Zoo Melaka. For me it was worth my money because i guess the main attraction was Dinosaur Encounter. Even i was mesmerised with the view and the dinosaur. I bought the ticket online for 2 adults and 2 kids. Then i just realised my youngest is 3yrs old. Below 3yo is FREE. But too bad, i cannot get refund 🤦🏻‍♀️ silly me 🤣 I came here on Friday and still need to queue but the waiting was not long and no need to wait longer. Food was ok and of course a bit pricey. As for the tram, i suggest you buy the tram ticket first at tram station because we were late purchasing the ticket and need to wait for another time/section to buy the ticket because the ticket were sold out. Overall, for me, i definitely recommended Zoo Melaka to you guys. Even Zoo Negara dont have this kind of vibes. Kudos to Zoo Melaka team 👏🏻👏🏻

Its tiring to explored the whole area. One of reasons why u have to come to Zoo Malacca to witness all dinosours that have been gone long time ago. Been here a few times already for day zoo. More engagement with the animals compare to zoo negara. Plus point they got the dinosaur encounter park also which quite a big park itself. First time went to its night safari. You got to ride free tram where they bring you around the zoo until the leopard cage. Then the tour guide will bring you and explain about some of the animal before you ride the tram again. Lastly, went to dinosaur park. The lighting was quite bad at some of the area. It was even no light at all at some parts of the dinosaur park. Overall quite nice experience for kids especially. Safari start at 8pm and the counter also only open at 8pm.

TERRIBLE TOILET! On the trip we had a few months back there was only one ladies' toilet working and it was so smelly. So bad reflecting the image of Malaysia to the world. Hope the management of the Zoo will do something to improvise it. Otherwise this place would earn a very good rating for all the things we enjoyed during the visit. The birds at the entrance were really hyper. Things we paid on top of the entrance fee: the tram ride, food for elephant, the amusement park and Zipline. The dinosaurs section was also impressive but something was closed at that point of time. We skipped taking photos with parrots. Instead we spent in the souvenirs shop and for lots of mineral water and ice cream. The weather was just too warm.

Went there on a school field trip. Had lots of fun. Staff were all friendly and helpful. However, everything was extremely overpriced, from souvenirs to tram rides, our wallets were empty by the time we left. Another thing to point out is the lack of toilets, only to that I could find, one at the entrance and one in the maze of the dinosaur park.

Nice place to visit especially for kids. The place looks more nice and beautiful after pkp. They followed sop strictly. Sanitizer all provided at each place. We got chance to feed animals like cow, giraffe and elephant.

I came here for the first time and it was so so so amazing cause its clean, very big and one thing that i really impressed is they got a flying fox activity (i have tried it hehe). Seriously, Zoo Melaka will provide you really best experience after visiting to this place.

We came the last week of school holiday. It was nice to see that the crowd is not that heavy. This is not my first visit but the last one was many years ago. There are new items added to the zoo like the dinosaur area. Luckily it is already inclusive in the entrance fee. It takes a bit of time to cover everything on foot. Easily about two to three hours of you really look at everything. Don’t miss the animal show. It was very interesting and choreographed in such a way that makes it interesting. No food is allowed but ample kiosk and cafe inside the zoo compound. They even sell ice cream, cendol and other sweet dessert for you to enjoy. There is flying fox that you can experience. Not that long but good enough to have a feel. Recommended for family outing.

A wonderful place for families. It is the biggest place and most different type of dinosaurs in Malaysia! Although the weather in malacca is super hot but they do have private buggy rides that you can rent a ride and see animal ! 5pax is RM100 and 12 pax is RM150! We do rent a buggy so we skip walking! You can really no need to walk. Only thing is car park for this zoo is not really convenient. You have to park quite far from the entrance. The dinosaur is really what kids love it! Family or couple can spend time here! They do have night park only thing is not brightly enough to see the animal and lots of mosquitoes!

Although I enjoyed my trip to the Melaka Zoo this time, being together and creating memories with my daughter, there were a few things I didn't like. Among them, the ticket prices with taxes were very expensive. 1 adult and 1 child cost RM81.00. Furthermore, there were zoo keepers or staff openly smoking while accompanying student interns at giraffes section. After that, some animal exhibits were unavailable. Many of them were under maintenance. The albino ferret section was full of mice. I hope the Melaka Zoo improves.

We took the the buggy ride,driver was very accommodating, stopped at most of the animal we could get down to take pictures. Was better than the KL Zoo. Highly recommended.

Love the whole set up. Very lovely and pretty big with lots of dinos. There's coloring activity for the kids where they can color their fav dino then it can appear on the screen according to how they color them. Thats was pretty exciting for the kids.

Have lot of changes here. Now have a dinosaur park here. My kids like it very much and are impressive. But alot of places are under renovation. Ticket fee is quite expensive but many animal cages are empty. Elephant food Rm5 for 3 pieces of expired bread. So pity. I would say about 40% of the place is closed due to what so called 'under maintenance'. Expect additional 'entrance fee' on top of the 40++ that you've already paid if you want to go inside the bird park. Anything you buy inside with 40-50% mark-up price. If you are dinosaur enthusiast, this place is highly recommended due to its 100++ species replicas with the real size. Will visit again in 10 years time.

I have been to the zoo growing up in melaka. Decided to take my son today and was quite shocked at the modus operandi. It is incredibly commercialised. At every corner of the zoo, there is a scheme to extract more money from you - photo booths, tram, food/drinks kiosks, feed for the animals etc etc. Lots of herbivores but carnivores were sparse and far apart. I feel it’s more of an activity park rather than a zoo. Extra charges for the reptile cave and the big bird cage. Dinosaur park exhibited a collection of still statues.

Had a great time here!There are different types of animals and the animals looked well fed.When we visited,the nocturnal animals were hiding and sleeping so the zoo keepers woke up these animals by giving them snacks i.e live feeding.I commend the zoo for such effort. You can also feed some animals like elephants,goats,horses and guinea pigs for rm5/bowl. We enjoyed the elephants feedind the most! There are also horse rides and petting zoo.You can ride the tram at rm6/adult or rent a buggy for rm50 to look at the animals.If you choose to walk,please bring along your hat/umbrella and sunglasses. The toilets are surprisingly very clean!

Went to the new Dino Park and it was awesome. Totally worth it. But you should come prepared with umbrellas and drinks because the heat could be unbearable eventually. The tram ride was quite pricey, but we got on for free since it suddenly rained cats and dogs that day. Im sure your kids will love the Dino Park!

Love the new initiatives by the zoo.. they have private tour and buggy (with a fee, of course) but it was worth it. Plus the dinosour park is great too.. worth another visit soon

Firstly, the best zoo to visit so far that comes with plenty of newest attraction for the visitors to enjoy with family and friends. Just a few improvement needed in terms of facilities namely toilets, baby care rooms and comfortable covered walkaway since children will loitering around the path that is also shared with the buggies as well. A useful attractive map could be useful for every visitors especially the children to learn about the animals encounter too and give them some insight about the types of species. The resting hut or gazebo along the path should be well maintained at all times to make sure the visitors feel comfortable to rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery. All in all, zoo melaka has improved a lot and i hope the management would take it up a notch to become the best zoo destination to visit in malaysia 😃✌

well organized, can feed animals such as giraffe, elephant, rabbit, etc and ride horse with little fees. many rest area & shops which is good for old folks and children. you can find hand sanitizer almost everywhere. newly added dinosaur park in the zoo is awesome (part of it still under construction). highly recommended.

Management have tried to enhance facilities & create more new to explore. Worth to pay visit! The latest is DINOSAUR WORLD with more than 100 species in there!

Went during the night to the Night Safari and Dinosaur Encounter The shows and the night trip visiting various animals are great. I just have one gripes with it. They said no outside foods and drinks allowed. But there's no stalls selling drinks inside except during going out where they take your photos and promote to buy the photos. Even then there's only mineral water and 100 plus. So after the show and the night Safari trip, we couldn't go to the Dinosaur Encounter because our daughter is already too thirsty. So my tips is just bring your own water and some snacks..

The ticket price increase because there are new attraction..."the dinosaur encounter" & it was worth the money. You guys should try it. Buy ticket online to get 30% discount.

Great place to bring kids for education. New attractions like Flying Fox and Dinosour Park are great for kids. But may be due to MCO in 2020 - 2021, there are less animal in the park than my last visit at 2015. No outside foods and drinks are allowed. There are some stall with in the park, but its a bit pricy. The management should allow the guest bring at least plain water of their own. The park is about 1.5km - 2.0km in full circle. Around 2 or 3 hours needed to complete the full loop and enjoying all their animal attractions. Guest can rent a small buggy or a tram, but they will be accompanied by the zoo staff. And the tour will be around 1 - 1.5 hours. The guest need to pay an additional fee for the ride. May be arround RM50 or something. Toilet will be available at 2/3rd of the loop. Clean a quiet big. Prayer room is at end of the loop. Quiet big and clean too. The ticket price is quiet expensive. RM38 for an adult and RM31 for 4-12 years old kid. Please note that it is a price for Malaysian Citizen only. Different charges will be imply for foreigners. The flying fox and horse riding will cost you an extra fee. Plus there are some photo booth with thier cameraman waiting. Also will be charging some money for their printed pictures. But you can choose to not to buy the pictures. For that kind of money, you should take a time to spend in the park. Should at least around 3 hours to make it worthy. Enjoying all the attraction and educational info provided.

This zoo is really huge!!..Animal show was amazing and superb. Dinosaur park also nice and kids really happy to see all dinosaurs but too bad few of dinosaurs already broken (No sound) and I suggest to have few persons to overview the visitors as I saw few kids punching the dinosaurs (I've tried to inform those kids but parents seems not happy and staring at us). Then most of toilets also quite dirty and smelly, hope management really look into this. Thank You!

Fun ride on a tramp, only that tramp speed should hv been slower not rushing & more relax so visitors are able to enjoy the view on animals on left and right cages/perimeters. Tramp we rode weren't equipped with any p.a. system for animal intro/mention during ride.

Visited during school holidays. The animal show was impressive. Be sure to catch it at the amphitheatre at 4.00pm..slightly highly priced entrance ticket. Do check out the Dinosaur Park which is included in the entrance fee for an awesome VR ride.

Weather hot, most of animals are sleeping including Jaguar, Tiger and Lion. And most of the animals is far far away, lack of interaction with visitors, feel kind of boring for this. And ticket price is quite expensive which need RM38, and if you want to feeding bird, ride their mini train or taking picture with parrot or snake, you will need to pay extra for that, recommend to go butterfly and reptiles park which near to the tolls, there are much interesting compare to zoo

The tickets are expensive for foreigners and you can get some discount thru KLOOK. The ticket includes entry to the dinosaur land, which was newly open for less than 3 years (at time of writing). It is a good outing place for family with young children as there are activities for them. Pls note to bring cash as various counters (e.g. animal feed) don't have TNG e-wallet or Credit card payment facility.

Clean and well manage zoo. Animals are well taken care off. Impress with the newly add dinosaur Park. Mostly flat road which is suitable for old folks and baby strollers. Eateries are available at every corner of the zoo where visitors can rest and chills. The only improvement required is punctuality of the show time and info of the show time.

If you have problem with your legs i dont suggest you to come because its a veryy long walk to look at all the animals 🤣 also there are horses that you can ride, elephants that you can feed , guinea pigs and rabbits that you can feed too , but you need to pay,, ro ride horses each person needs to pay 10 ringgit for one round and for feeding pets it all cost 5 ringgit. The food there are delicious aswell

My family and I came quite early so we don't have to wait too long in the line. Price is affordable and worth it. We love the environment and the variety of animals in there. They also include a visit to the dino section in our tickets. Luckily we brought some hand fans and hats. It sure was a tiring day but was worth every penny. Totally will repeat our visit next year. Just a reminder, do not believe the vendor outside the zoo coz outside foods are not allowed. Luckily we didn't buy much. The food need to be finished before going in.

First time came here and all I got to say is that some animal are placed well, though at the corner there's nobody there despite being crowded. There's also animal that are placed near the end of the Circle, feeling disappointed because all those walks is expecting something greater but no, it's basic. Just big chunk of land, Animal placed poorly, Lonely and Eating themself while I was on a walk. Going to Crocodiles Melaka feels worth it than Zoo Melaka... Just add 2 animal together in all the zoo that's lacking any Partner then I am more satisfied than when I finished venturing today.
