We always love Melaka Zoo. We arrived a bit early and were able to feed the 🦒. My boys were amazed so as me. The Petting Zone was really fun. The bunnies were very cute and very tame. My 4 year old boy really had fun feeding them. The Dino Park was still in progress. We will definitely go there in the future. 😍

Came when the day was raining but it didn’t stop the whole family from enjoying the day. A bit hectic when queuing to claim tickets since online buyers needed to queue in the same line with others but eventually managed to get in. Place has improved and feels fresh compared to the last time I came here few years back. There’s even a space for dinosaur exhibits namely Dinosaur Encounter which is cool.

Zoo animal very well behaved in general. Especially appreciate elephant, peacock and leopard cat who came to show and entertain the people. Less appreciate parakeet who must be naughty when double-cage lock up! Rusa deer also not good because too dirty to be food product optional.

Much better condition after the upgrade. We took the night safari and the best zoo experience ever. Might be the best zoo condition in Malaysia currently. Dinosaur park is also awesome! Free train ride, free ranger tour at each compound, free access to dinosaur park, have animal show. Really a nice place to bring kids. Night time tour is better since a lot of the animals are active.

Was here two weeks ago for my son birthday vacation. I never been to Zoo Melaka before but i am quite impressed with the place. It was about 5km walking to complete the journey at Zoo Melaka. For me it was worth my money because i guess the main attraction was Dinosaur Encounter. Even i was mesmerised with the view and the dinosaur. I bought the ticket online for 2 adults and 2 kids. Then i just realised my youngest is 3yrs old. Below 3yo is FREE. But too bad, i cannot get refund 🤦🏻‍♀️ silly me 🤣 I came here on Friday and still need to queue but the waiting was not long and no need to wait longer. Food was ok and of course a bit pricey. As for the tram, i suggest you buy the tram ticket first at tram station because we were late purchasing the ticket and need to wait for another time/section to buy the ticket because the ticket were sold out. Overall, for me, i definitely recommended Zoo Melaka to you guys. Even Zoo Negara dont have this kind of vibes. Kudos to Zoo Melaka team 👏🏻👏🏻

Went to the new Dino Park and it was awesome. Totally worth it. But you should come prepared with umbrellas and drinks because the heat could be unbearable eventually. The tram ride was quite pricey, but we got on for free since it suddenly rained cats and dogs that day. Im sure your kids will love the Dino Park!

Went during the night to the Night Safari and Dinosaur Encounter The shows and the night trip visiting various animals are great. I just have one gripes with it. They said no outside foods and drinks allowed. But there's no stalls selling drinks inside except during going out where they take your photos and promote to buy the photos. Even then there's only mineral water and 100 plus. So after the show and the night Safari trip, we couldn't go to the Dinosaur Encounter because our daughter is already too thirsty. So my tips is just bring your own water and some snacks..

Great place to bring kids for education. New attractions like Flying Fox and Dinosour Park are great for kids. But may be due to MCO in 2020 - 2021, there are less animal in the park than my last visit at 2015. No outside foods and drinks are allowed. There are some stall with in the park, but its a bit pricy. The management should allow the guest bring at least plain water of their own. The park is about 1.5km - 2.0km in full circle. Around 2 or 3 hours needed to complete the full loop and enjoying all their animal attractions. Guest can rent a small buggy or a tram, but they will be accompanied by the zoo staff. And the tour will be around 1 - 1.5 hours. The guest need to pay an additional fee for the ride. May be arround RM50 or something. Toilet will be available at 2/3rd of the loop. Clean a quiet big. Prayer room is at end of the loop. Quiet big and clean too. The ticket price is quiet expensive. RM38 for an adult and RM31 for 4-12 years old kid. Please note that it is a price for Malaysian Citizen only. Different charges will be imply for foreigners. The flying fox and horse riding will cost you an extra fee. Plus there are some photo booth with thier cameraman waiting. Also will be charging some money for their printed pictures. But you can choose to not to buy the pictures. For that kind of money, you should take a time to spend in the park. Should at least around 3 hours to make it worthy. Enjoying all the attraction and educational info provided.

Entrance fees for locals are quite expensive - Adults RM38 and for children RM31. They should reduce ticket price for local tourists, this will help attract more local tourists. One day they allowed 500 visitors in. Btw, you need buy separate entrance ticket RM5 inside if wants to feed rabbits and Guinea pigs🐇. Some of the cages are empty do not have animals, they should prioritise keeping the environment clean, especially cages with animals. Some animals like horses look very dull, skinny, never do proper maintenance and grooming for animals, and apparently lack of nutritions as well. The whole trip was satisfying. The place is huge, I got 11,000 steps alone in here. Staff was professional & friendly. There are a lot of attractions. The dinosaur's park is amazing, many species there. However, just like other public places in Malaysia, the toilets here needs urgent attention. They have plenty space tu seat & eat too. However, one of the food seller was smoking, even there were a lot children & babies nearby.

Not bad. Still in good shape after all these years. Better eateries around the places now. And the new dinosaur attraction is great. Overall a good family outing.

Quite an experience. Easy to locate using Google Map. Moderately price. Plenty of food options. The Jurassic Park (Dinosaurland) is worth the visit - well made and was such a hit with my kids. Good use of technology, kids enjoyed scanning the QR code and learning. Birdshow was too short though. Please remove from web that tram rides are free, misleading info.

Visited on Saturday and it was so crowded but kudos to the management team to be able to handle all the crowd well. So sad to see a few animal that were there before now gone. New product which is the dinosaur encounter is really fun to watch too. I advice anyone to bring umbrella or hat when they enter the zoo cause the weather can be so hot. There are a lot of seller inside the zoo selling food and drinks.

This zoo is really huge!!..Animal show was amazing and superb. Dinosaur park also nice and kids really happy to see all dinosaurs but too bad few of dinosaurs already broken (No sound) and I suggest to have few persons to overview the visitors as I saw few kids punching the dinosaurs (I've tried to inform those kids but parents seems not happy and staring at us). Then most of toilets also quite dirty and smelly, hope management really look into this. Thank You!

Fun ride on a tramp, only that tramp speed should hv been slower not rushing & more relax so visitors are able to enjoy the view on animals on left and right cages/perimeters. Tramp we rode weren't equipped with any p.a. system for animal intro/mention during ride.

Nice but rather expensive entrance for limited animals..so minus 2*.... The animal shows was great, short and simple. Try not to miss it..around 4pm...those sensitive to sun...pls bring caps or umbrellas... By the way...who says dinosaurs are extinct? There are plenty here ;) ...so I added back 1*

Love this place! quite big space. The dino park is A THUMB UP! Dino can move and have sound. The gift is clean and cozy. One star is reduce because i dun like the idea of paying rm5 for extra visiting mini parks, such as the rabbits park and bird parks. How about just add all the parks in ticket?

Good place to bring kids. However the tiger place under construction so we were unable to see the tiger. The scenery is beautiful however need some improvement and cleanliness around the tapir area. Overall good experience at the zoo including the dinosaur encounter.

Been here a few times already for day zoo. More engagement with the animals compare to zoo negara. Plus point they got the dinosaur encounter park also which quite a big park itself. First time went to its night safari. You got to ride free tram where they bring you around the zoo until the leopard cage. Then the tour guide will bring you and explain about some of the animal before you ride the tram again. Lastly, went to dinosaur park. The lighting was quite bad at some of the area. It was even no light at all at some parts of the dinosaur park. Overall quite nice experience for kids especially. Safari start at 8pm and the counter also only open at 8pm.

We go for the night safari waited outside for almost 20 minutes, the staff holding us due to rain. When we visit the animals inside, it is quite dark and the tour guide only a small torchlight shown to the animal which insufficient for us to see the animal clearly because it was too dark. We can not hear much the tour guide explaining to us because the engine sound was louder. The only thing we enjoy was feeding the elephants.

The animals was poorly treated. The lion was so skinny almost looks like not been taking care well. Direction for the route not clear. Maybe managament should take action especially for maintenance there especially for the animals.

Firstly, the best zoo to visit so far that comes with plenty of newest attraction for the visitors to enjoy with family and friends. Just a few improvement needed in terms of facilities namely toilets, baby care rooms and comfortable covered walkaway since children will loitering around the path that is also shared with the buggies as well. A useful attractive map could be useful for every visitors especially the children to learn about the animals encounter too and give them some insight about the types of species. The resting hut or gazebo along the path should be well maintained at all times to make sure the visitors feel comfortable to rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery. All in all, zoo melaka has improved a lot and i hope the management would take it up a notch to become the best zoo destination to visit in malaysia 😃✌

Visited during school holidays. The animal show was impressive. Be sure to catch it at the amphitheatre at 4.00pm..slightly highly priced entrance ticket. Do check out the Dinosaur Park which is included in the entrance fee for an awesome VR ride.

Weather hot, most of animals are sleeping including Jaguar, Tiger and Lion. And most of the animals is far far away, lack of interaction with visitors, feel kind of boring for this. And ticket price is quite expensive which need RM38, and if you want to feeding bird, ride their mini train or taking picture with parrot or snake, you will need to pay extra for that, recommend to go butterfly and reptiles park which near to the tolls, there are much interesting compare to zoo

Quite big. Have to walk a lot. We spent about 2 hours & 30 minutes to finish all.For me, the entrance fee is expensive. For adult, RM38 per person excluding tax (6% service tax & 12.50% entertainment tax). Free entry for kids below 3 years old. Tram service provided but have to pay extra. You can feed animals but have to pay separately. So disappointed due to some of the reptiles areas are closed.the weather is freaking hot. Don’t forget to bring mineral water,sunscreen,umbrella, hat & mini fan.

Have lot of changes here. Now have a dinosaur park here. My kids like it very much and are impressive. But alot of places are under renovation. Ticket fee is quite expensive but many animal cages are empty. Elephant food Rm5 for 3 pieces of expired bread. So pity. I suggest giving food to the elephant like sugar cane, fruit, that can feed an elephant. Cannot bring water from outside. but the mineral water 500ml Rm3. Better the zoo management changes the business strategy. The expensive ticket for big families cannot effort.
