Don’t waste your time. Rooms are small cubicles. The bidet is not working - sprays and scares the living daylights out of you. Room card doesn’t work. Services are slow - asked for extra towels the night before and got it the next day after repeated reminders. Overall, not worth it. Better off in a cheaper motel. The price tag doesn’t match the expectations.

Check in & check out hassle free. Lift doors closed too fast. Superior room, cheapest room available. Came for interview. Stayed for the night only but need the comfort. My room 503 has very strong cigarette smell to the point its nauseating. Called reception, a foreigner housekeeping guy came and sprayed perfume. Took few hours for the smell to vanish. Theres stain on the couch. Very suspicious looking. Towel abit stink. Have stains on them as well. Found strands of hairs inside toilet sink. The shower was probably the only highlight of the room. Very fast water flow almost ripped my hair. Now i understand why hair strands found everywhere. Came at 6.30 for the breakfast. Lots of variety and up to par. The swimming pool looks tempting but don’t have time for it. Maybe next time. Maybe not.

Good service. Helpful staff. The room quite small. But decent. Clean and tidy. The shower head and water heater is quite tricky to use😅. The breakfast not so many choice but decent and worth the money. Bought with room package. We booked thru apps and call a day prior our arrival to ensure the booking did go thru. The staff asked if we have any request. As the stay was for celebrating my husb bday, i request for simple complimentary decoration. But what i got is extensive room decorations. Love the decorations. So romantic and memorable.❤️ Definitely worth the money

The bathroom was filthy . Check in was late due to cleaning but in the end it was still filthy. Told them 4x to clean it but no actions were taken .the housekeepers just “cleaned” by making the bed . Worse experience ever. Would never recommend this place to anyone

Stayed here for 1 night in a Superior Room with 2x Twin beds. It cost about £30 / 162MYR. Overall, it was a nice stay. The room was clean and spacious. It was nicely decorated and seemed very modern. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was fast and the AC was powerful. The front desk staff were nice and free parking is a bonus. We did not have a chance to use any of the room service/Gym/Pool etc so unable to comment. The only negative was the bathroom layout from a privacy perspective. e.g. I stayed with one of my parents and you can see right into the bathroom from the beds as the toilet/shower are segregates and only have frosted glass doors.

For those needing to stay around Selayang, Mercure Selayang is quite affordable. For the price of Rm 150/night inclusive of breakfast for 2, it was worth it. This place is really convenient if the plan is to go to Hospital Selayang, or to visit Batu Caves, 99 Wonderland Park, or even Genting Highlands. Check-in was smooth. Lovely reception which was neat. Sadly, when it was raining and I asked for an umbrella, there were no umbrellas available for use. The staff are friendly. The room is simple and straightforward. What I enjoyed was the rain shower - really strong, with nice warm water. The infinity pool has a view of Selayang which is lovely. Being rather small, it can get squeezy when there are many guests. But it's still pretty nice. The breakfast spread was standard - Nasi Goreng, Mee Goreng, curries, cereals, bread. I quite enjoyed it, being the typical Malaysian I am. The only thing that spooked me was the head of the restaurant which at first, warned me not to take photos of the food. I explained that I like writing reviews, and he apologised for abruptly stopping me. If I have errands or plans around Selayang, I wouldn’t mind coming again. Apparently, I hear that there are beautiful waterfalls nearby this area as well.

The good - plush bed and pillows - strong water pressure - respond promptly to our predicament. Changed our room because the original one smell strongly of cigarette. Allow grace period for check out because it was clashing with our exam time The not so good - dusty room. Have to cling to my antihistamine. - some rooms have poor plumbing so the shower gets flooded - fridge is not that cold

Pool depth 1.2m..no life guard.. hotel interiors look exclusive.. easy check in.. free parking..room is spacious.. i like the room 601.. but unluckily the toilet had a very bad smell.. get changed immediately.. but need to downgrade due to lack of empty room that time.. went to room 315.. its smaller & mall view.. a little disappointed but still enjoy the stay.. the room had complete facilities as iron&iron board, hair dryer, kettle, hot shower, toiletries, tea/coffee /sugar/milk.. seperate toilet & shower.. the hotel also have gym & kids room too... the price include breakfast.. child age 6 & below free dine in.. love it so much.. gonna stay here again n again next time go to kl..

Basement parking dark and not accessible without security man open a gate. No free parking fee for hotel guest. Toilet flush sound noisy and glass wall less privacy. Many vacant shoplot or under renovation. So no shoping attraction here.

Stayed there for 5 days 4 nights for work. It was such a great stay. Great spacious room. Great food. The staffs from the receptionist to the housekeeper were very friendly and nice! For basement parking it was quite confusing but solved by asking directions from the guard! There's a mall attached to the hotel but nothing much there. However hotel hospitality is a 5 🌟 level. Would love to stay again next time!

Operator never ever pickup room call . Call for half hrs front desk nobody pickup. I jv to go down personally to ask them. Today I booked again this hotel from agoda again. When check in the room is not what I book. Then the manager name alif attitude and told me he can't do anything about it. Never even try to prove what they are listing is matched. Then offer me a even smaller room which I hv paid for 400+ . I very disappointed this type customer service attitude.

The room is quiet, comfy, and clean good for relaxing. The swimming pool is open 7am to 7pm but in the notice board mentioned open until 10pm, please change it. Who loves night swimming will disappoint. Otherwise the pool is very clean always checking the chlorine level which is good and providing towels. Breakfast above average vegetarian foods available.

Actuality I have booked 2 two rooms and requested for 2 additional single beds through phone. The staff who attended me was confirmed that there will be an extra bed as per request and not even say anything about payment. Once I reached hotel in the night with kids , one of the staff (lady staff) at the counter said there is no extra bed available currently. When I told her that it was confirmed through phone communication before I reach to the hotel and now why you are saying like that. But she is in rude way saying that it’s not available so you want to continue this booking..also she is claiming that she is a night supervisor on that day. From the beginning she don’t know how to greet the Customer. She as a supervisor doesn’t know what is a customer service.. But I would say the staff at the cafe are very good and helpful. Also I will appreciate the manager (male staff) I can’t remember his name, but he is always showing a good attitude or good impression to the customer but Not the lady staff..

I had an event nearby this place and I decided to stay overnight as it may end later at night. It was a good stay, but the room are not soundproof. I heard commotion from room next to me somewhat between midnight till early in the morning. Otherwise, others are good.

I was here with my family and one of my kid was on a wheelchair. Nevertheless, this hotel is very convenient for wheelchair and all the staffs were friendly. The rooms were also spacious and comfortable. The location was also good as it is nearby to Kuala Lumpur city centre and also Batu Caves. There are many shops and retaurants nearby so definitely recommended to stay here. Overall, definitely worth the stay here.

The stay was supposed to be good as everything was in order. Unfortunately the nightmare was at the Meraki Restaurant. We ordered 5 dishes but only served 3 after 25mins. The another 2 was nowhere to be seen and the staff just telling only 1 chef. Theres only 3 table serving. I eventually have to gave up as my kids are making noise so I told the waitress to send it over to the room after 55 mins waited. No choice bring up to the duty manager. By the time of this comment. My food ordered still in the making lol …. After 1 hour 15mins.

Check in on 9/10/21. the staff is very pleasant during my check in. the only exception is the room. The aircond is very hot. wake up around 4am because the aircond was so hot. complaint to the staff and she suggest to change room. am too tired to change room in 4am. so I will just let it slide. But, during my checkout. The staff explain my tng has already validate and can go out without charges. but, turn out my tng is deducted RM8. if I can give 0 star I will give.

First of all, i have stayed here for a couple of times (as it is the ONLY hotel nearest hospital selayang, left me with no other choice). My latest stay here is 1-night stay from 22nd March 2021 to 23rd March 2021. And one thing i have noticed, the frontdesk staffs arent that friendly(except the lady during evening shift, she is GREAT and professional; unlike the others). The male staff at the frontdesk seems rude and unfriendly during my check-out process (makes me unlikely to come back again to this hotel, but unfortunately its the only hotel nearest hospital selayang). I would appreciate if the staffs are welcoming and friendly as this is a 4 star hotel *like what you claimed*, so i do expect the customer service to be 4 stars too. The room is okay but you can see they dont clean under the bed (its abit dirty under the bed). Please improve on the customer service, (i dont expect it to be amazing but you gotta be welcoming and friendly if you're working at the frontdesk; at least some greetings when guests enter/leave the reception), i came here a couple of times before as i have a few affairs at selayang hospital and from my observation, the frontdesk staffs hardly greet the guests. Especially the guy during my checkout , he really has poor communication and customer service skill. Dont put your least friendly staffs at the frontdesk because they're only gonna spoil the guests' experience there. im leaving this review because its not the first time i come across this unfriendliness and unprofessional behaviour at this hotel, which i finally feel like i just had to leave this review here, this time around. Thank you.

Not many customers. I'm the only one during breakfast time. The area is mostly housing area, so not as happening as downtown. We could get a good sleep though.

Had a one night work stay. Very pleasant stay considering this trying pandemic times. Decided to book for the buka puasa package and sahor. Although there werent many patrons at the moment but it was indeed a good spread. Sahor was sent to the room around 5am. So happy with such convenient arrangements. Well done Mercure!

Only 1 parking payment kiosk works at night. Beware of long queues during payment. By the time i exit, the grace period of 15mins end..lucky the parking attendant understands..

Stayed here during New Year 2022. Sudden plan. Nice stay. Parking is safe. Hotel environment is good. Lobby is awesome. Room is good to accommodate us. King bed and sofa bed. Upon checking in, had a slight musky odour. Took some time to clear the smell. Aircond was okay. Nearby have shop lots. Check-in was smooth. The front office staff was really friendly and helpful. Will come back and stay.

I specifically booked a non-smoking room and was not only given a smoking room but was delayed horribly... Later after 30 minutes of settling in the other room..was shifted to a non smoking room. I also had problems looking for the lobby of the hotel as it is beside a mall and many office space.. Hotel is at one corner and was a slight struggle. There is no underground parking for visitors just a partially shaded one.. Staff was nice but very slow... I ordered room service and again i took time but food portion, taste was good and worth the price.. 👍🏻Overall ok experience.. need improvement tho. Service : 3 star Food : 4 star Room : 4 star Price : Reasonable

I drove to this hotel. Parking was confusing: signages small and hard to spot. The B1 lobby entrance was keypad locked, but new guests don’t have the pin. So you gotta go through the Emerald Avenue complex to reach the hotel lobby. Imagine having luggage and not have access to the lift: very inconvenient. Signages to the lobby could be improved too. Check in was typical but far from warm or welcoming. Hotel features were explained very succinctly. No mention of Accor loyalty or its perks. I got a room on the 2nd floor. Upon opening the room door I was welcomed by a strong stench: combination of moldy smell with drainage stench. Turning on the air conditioning and ventilation did not help with the stench at all. Room was small (but reasonable given the price). Had the displeasure of finding an ironing board with holes and a leaking iron… Minibar fridge was lukewarm in temperature at best. Shower was moldy: the shower head was covered in mold. Can’t switch between shower heads as the knob is broken. Air conditioning too was weak and warm. The only reason I chose this property was due to the proximity to UiTM Selayang. Am sorely disappointed and given the choice I would stay somewhere else. I have stayed in budget hotels with better quality than this property.

Nice hotel. Clean and well kept. We had dinner, Food tastes good and the staff is efficient and warm. But the neighbourhood around the hotel is quite chaotic with traffic jam, cars and street vendor.
