Everything about this place is misleading. In the name it says bistro so you assume it serves food. They have a menu up listing all the sandwiches but when you ask they only serve snacks for 1 euro per person. Then, when you pay, everything is priced higher and they tell you the other price is for takeaway. What a tourist trap! Horrible customer experience.

    1) Waitress was not friendly at all 2) numerous discrepancies between the paper menu displayed at the entrance and the one when you sit (with obviously lots of things missing) 3) even several differences between the menu on table and the reality (they say the lunch of the day includes an americano coffee with milk, to tell you at the end that actually, no) 4) Toilet lock broken, so you can't go unless you want to have a 50% chance of someone to find you naked, 5) we took a lasagna, the amount was... ridiculous, can't call this a main. Food quality was decent, but honestly, don't go there until they start to realize that customer experience might matter beyond a nice location..

This is a fabulous place to visit for a few daytime drinks. There are some unique cocktails on the menu which all sound great. I really enjoyed the Americhinato. It was a slightly bitter drink, but very refreshing and tasty. The seating area inside is small, but there is also plenty of seating outside. We also ordered a little piece of cantucci with our drinks. It might sound like an odd pairing, but the crunchy biscuit went perfect with a cocktail. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You order from the staff at your table, but scan a QR code to view the menu (available in English or Italian). I will definitely visit here again when I next visit Italy as I would like to try the evening cocktail menu.

I do not review the food as we went there only for some late evening drinks. Service was nice, all OK. Restaurant has nice garden and is located at very nice square, especially at night- Piazza Lorenzo Mascheroni.

Average, overpriced cocktails, poor service. Similar to other reviews of non-Italians on here we also weren’t given any aperitivo while all of the Italians were. Poor form.

Loved this place for cocktails. They had a interesting list to choose from and the place had a nice atmosphere/look to it. We ordered some cantucci with our drinks which were also really good. Friendly staff, could speak English which was very helpful as a tourist.

Update after response - I can attest that we did not receive food. And it is a common theme across negative reviews from other tourists. And they call customers liars apparently. No snacks given with apperitivo. Poor service.

Good beer, good location, a very chill place with nice food and good atmosphere, the waitresses were extra nice. Highly recommended

Nice place, but the lasagne was cold, and our waitress even colder. Other waitress seemed nice though. Cesar salad was eatable but there wasn't much, and the chicken in it was not good.

Very friendly and skilled staff. Excellent drinks and food. Check architecture on archilovers.com. Worth it a stop. Prices adequate to the location.

crazy, I ordered a burger and more bread was in or around the plate than in my mouth. Terrible bread. My mate ordered the gnocci and got like 7 gnoccis. The coke in the warm glass was good though.

Great spot for an aperitivo or an evening drink in the heart of Bergamo Old Town. Especially worth it in spring or summer thanks to the tables located in the square. Serving a good variety of beers (both crafts and big brands), wines and cocktails, with a solid choice of food as well. In late afternoon, for a couple euros in addition to your drink you get a good cheese and cold cuts platter with some pizza. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the inside is rather small but cozy. Totally fair prices for the area.

Excellent bombardino to keep the warm in freezing evenings.

Only came for the beers but I was quite disappointed by the selection (limited choice and all pretty basic ones). Even though the staff was attentive and efficient, they knew very little about the beers; which is odd for a place calling themselves a beerstrot. Plenty of outdoor seating in a lovely pedestrian square. Prices are quite cheap considering the location. Free aperitivo (snacks) with your drink (time depending). Prices: 5.50€ for a 40cl beer

We wanted to have a drink after arriving in Bergamo late in the evening, and this was one of the only places that was still open. Good cocktails and friendly service!

A quaint place for a bit to eat. We only day outside so I don't know what the interior was like. The food was fresh and drinks were good.

Lovely couple of glasses of wine with aperitivo and a fire in the middle of our table 👍

It takes a lot of time for service to collect your order and when they do they can't even get you a beer and spritz at the same time. Also it says that spritz is 5euro when in fact it's 6.5. On the other hand the drinks and beer is good.

A nice place (with tasty tiramisu!) situated next to the main tourist route in the older part of Bergamo. Good choice of local wines. For evening it could be a better place than the other venues (like in Piazza Vecchia), as there are less people and it is less noisy.

Very enjoyable, relaxing lunch experience, lovely tartare (with truffles!), wine and coffee with friendly service and a very nice atmosphere.
