We live in another part of Bali currently and staying at The Hamsa Resort felt like a vacation from our vacation! I scoured all the hotels from Lovina to Singaraja and and this one won on value and view. We considered staying on the beach but we thought a mid-mountain view overlooking the expanse of water would be more to our liking. When we arrived - it was truly epic and the best choice we made. We still had the chance to be at the sea to swim when we ate by the water or went on a dolphin tour. The owner is well invested in his property and is always around to greet or help you along with his well trained and smiling team. There were 2 photos in the reviews but one of them is actually reserved for the private villa at the top of the resort. The shared infinite pool is wide and overlooks the vista with water view beyond. My children (ages 5, 6 and 8) really enjoyed the shallow and deeper pool. There was also a metal spinning and climbing apparatus for kids next to the pool and a European quality foosball (gitoni) table underneath the restaurant by the bar. Most times it was just us even when there were other guests staying at the resort. Buffet breakfast is offered daily until 10am and the restaurant up on the 2nd floor by the pool with the best unobstructed views! 75k for adults and 50k for children. Eggs made fresh, bacon, sausage, mie goreng, bred/toast, mini croissants (we really liked these), homemade papaya jam, butter, assorted cut fruit (even a type of pear I have not eaten in a long time in Asia!), cereal, juice, coffee, tea - all so yummy. The grounds are well maintained. So expansive that you would never feel crowded or barely would see anyone or hear any noise. There is a high metal gate at the entrance that has a guard present which is excellent for safety. Though the area is probably quite safe anyhow. The fence around the property is very high. When I booked through a 2nd party online provider I chose 2 rooms each with a double/Queen bed and asked for 2 rooms beside one another. Luckily we were placed in their family unit (14 & 15) which was 2 rooms under one structure so we shared a kitchen and also the balcony space but still had separate entrances and bathrooms! Worked much better for us when my youngest came looking for us in the middle of the night. All of the individual rooms have a sea view! They are building more and new units it seems just behind. We had a small fridge, water dispenser/cooler, sink, stovetop, pots, pans, plates, cups provided which was very helpful. The bathroom is clean and easy to use. The shower heads were brand new and so worked well and the detachable head was convenient to clean the kids or have them shower on their own. Hot water is instant and with excellent pressure. Our units did not have a bum spray but there was one in the toilet by the pool. My husband and I had a Queen bed and the three kids had 2 twins which they could push together and fold up some cushions and towels so as to make one large bed to sleep together and they were very happy. The wonderful owner told us that there was a waterfall just minutes walk away. It was only about 15 minutes. Just make a left out of the security gate. Walk up the road and follow the property fence, over the tiny bridge over the flowing water (not this first one is not the waterfall!) and follow the semi-cut path. It becomes less maintained but you will be able to tell that it has been walked on. It gets progressively downhill but manageable with young kids. Finally you reach a waterfall that has many levels and pools. We expected to stay only a couple minutes but stayed 3 hours and possibly more if the kids were not tired and wanting food and a nap. Bring something to eat! The best find and kept the kids safely exploring for so long. It is located centrally a couple minutes drive up the hill and between Seririt and much of Lovina. It was very close to the Krisna Amusement Park and we could see it lit up while driving back up the hill after at night. Terima kasih from Canada!

Double check your bill on checkout. UPDATE: See Stephane response below - arrogant and untrue. Not only were items added to the bill that were paid for, the addition in the bill was incorrect. I showed them my calculation and the staff member said "Wow, are you an accountant?"

The view is very pleasant, and the staff is really good. But unfortunately, I found 6 cockroaches in my room :( and it’s made me traumatized. Therefore, I must borrow my friend’s bathroom to shower.

Our recent stay at The Hamsa had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the location was wonderfully quiet, perched on a mountain with an incredible ocean view. The bed was clean and comfortable, allowing us to rest well. Unfortunately, the negatives managed to overshadow these positives. The room was plagued by a persistent ant problem throughout our stay, which was quite off-putting. The state of the toilet bowl seat in the bathroom left much to be desired; it resembled something you might find in a prison. One of the most frustrating aspects was the shower, as the hot water supply lasted for a mere three minutes before turning cold. It made for a less-than-pleasant bathing experience. To make matters worse, the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold, which raised concerns about hygiene and cleanliness. In addition to these physical issues, the staff's level of assistance left us wanting more. Basic requests seemed to pose a challenge, and their lack of responsiveness was disappointing. All in all, while The Hamsa offered a quiet location and a decent bed, the numerous drawbacks, including ant infestations, subpar bathroom conditions, and unhelpful staff, make it difficult to recommend. Exploring alternative accommodations might be a wise choice for a more comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Very beautiful view. Nice pool. Comfortable houses. In my opinion, a weak breakfast. There are sometimes ants in the room.

I have been there last weekend. Perfect place to relax ,All the bungalows face to the pool and the ocean , really calm and quiet around. The staff have really kind and friendly with us . The food at the restaurant is really good, tasty and fresh . The bungalows are good but a little small ,but still have a minibar inside some water and kettle with tea and coffee. Also there is a 9foot pool table in the second floor, really great to play with friends. Perfect place to chill , really worth a try . I will come back

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view from the top overlooking the sea was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was particularly impressed with the cuisine in the restaurant; the food was delicious. I highly recommend trying their homemade pasta. For those who need to remote work, the hotel has fast/good WiFI. The large swimming pool is also a great feature. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Really great location, though it's in a bit inland. Food is pleasant but not really various. The workers are quite helpful. Actually room is spacious, but I found lots of insects and cockroaches are coming out of nowhere:(( i can't even sleep at night

Another beautiful resort in Lovina, Bali🐬 that was visited by your Clint Eastwood fan. So what's the scoop? Here's the Good, Bad and Ugly: Good stuff to mention is always the staff.πŸ˜πŸ™ Our valet staff was extremely kind to bring us mangos that was growing on the property. Just because we mentioned that we wanted to buy some fresh green mangoes. How cool was that? The surrounding and view was majestic as usual. See the photos for yourself. The room was clean and didn't have any funny smell. The bed was very comfortable. πŸ˜” Bad stuff to note: Wi-Fi is near dialup speed... Speedtest were below 2 Mbps most of the times and not suitable for anyone that needs internet. Cellphone reception is extremely poor as well. You won't even get 3G so forget 4G access in this location. Shuttle to Lovina is 70k each way. Bike rentals weren't offered but perhaps ask about it as others mentioned that's an option. Breakfast options were less than most local warungs or coffee shop. Maybe offer a few more choices would be nice. Luckily there's nothing ugly about Hamsa Resort to mention. This would be an amazing place if they just upgrade their internet to BizNet 100-250MB link which is available in Lovina. We were at the local cafe in Lovina and wow 😲 250Mb link down there. I have 100Mb in my villa in Ubud and it's very affordable. Hopefully the management will heed our advice. We might be back if they have better internet speed so that we can work there rather than drive down into the cafe in Lovina.

Beautiful little hotel resort, situated up the side of a mountain with beautiful views of Lovina below. Stayed for only 2 nights but really enjoyed out time here. We had our own private bungalow that was simply amazing. Modern airy aesthetic with a private patio, that has views of the pool. The pool was amazing to say the least. It was an infinity pool with amazing views over the valley and out to sea. Only down side is the breakfast. It was a bit basic with only toast, fruit and eggs made to order. However I wouldn't make that out a damper on this place, the views alone are worth it.

It actually a pretty spot a good and have a nice spot to heal yourself away from the city. But when we arrived it quite quiet so it kinda scared due to this pandemic so not many people went there and the room mostly empty with a few staff. It actually a perfect spot if You wanna keep yourself away from you daily routines, but unfortunately just few customer went there. The location itself quite close with Krisna Funtastic land which it place also kinda of less tourist either local or international went there. And there some attraction on the Krisna which still under maintenance for a while. The room in this resort suit enough for 2 people, there is bathroom with a shower but there was no bidet or whatever you may recall it. So it's kinda inconvenience for me due to at that time i was in my period. And there is no TV but they provide mini fridge, idk why but kinda bored if you not going anywhere even you can watch instagram, tiktok, etc. Ohh but there is a big pool dan it has sea view from your bungalow. I think that's all i could tell you. It was good, hopefully this resort can get back crowded to bussiness, Amen

For the standard room, there's no tv but a fridge. The pool is the best, big enough pool and great view, I don't know where else pool like this for a budget hotel. The villa pool is big too The terrace have 2 chair with a table and not 1. The carpet is dirty, and they could not washed off, maybe they can wash it with hot water after boiled. The street way up to the hotel is dark and no lights, If you kinda scared, don't go outside at night. Kind staff and owner, staff run to the front gate to open it for us and the fo staff run to greet us to check in, not willing for us to wait. I think this is the best hotel I can get at budget around here and don't miss the pool.

Great location and view. The hosts are really friendly. But rooms need a little renovation. Door glasses need to be properly clean.
