I spent a whole week there in April. It was probably the most relaxing week in my life. The Ayurvedic massage treatments were excellent, so was the morning meditation and yoga session. The staff was very friendly. This is a place to truly connect with yourself and come back to who you really are. If you feel like you need a break, this is the place to go.

The stunning Zen resort was the last stop on my most recent trip to Bali, & one that was truly life changing. I cannot recommend this Aryuvedic spa retreat highly enough. Nestled in the jungle hills overlooking the ocean just beneath,magic happens here. Situated on a Shiva line, there is great healing to be found in the energy here, which is the reason the remarkable owner, dedicated to sustainability, & who I feel blessed to have met, built Zen here. The incredible staff feel like family, & make it feel like coming home, (I miss them!), & the Aryuvedic treatments, most with 2 or more therapists, transform both body & mind. These are true healing treatments, with incredibly learned & skilled therapists that work in absolute, perfect harmony. Delicious Aryuvedic food & drink prepared specifically for your Dosha needs, assessed by the on site Aryuvedic Dr, & twice daily yoga classes, as well as meditation & breathing (pranayama) classes start & complete the day. Wandering the lush, sprawling grounds filled with fountains, flowers & fruiting trees feels like a form of meditation, though there are many specific spots to sit & do so. Under one of the largest trees, whose roots envelop you like an embrace, is a meditation area that seems to read your soul, & gives you exactly what it is you need in that moment. Quite extraordinary. There are flowers everywhere you look, including the foot baths before every spa treatment, & arranged in beautiful designs or to spell out words of farewell, love & gratitude. The pool is filled from a nearby spring, blessed as holy water, it’s remarkably soft water with incredible qualities. I went through a rebirthing experience I initially had some trepidation about, & which was nothing short of transformative. It has taken some time since my trip to truly integrate my time there, & the subsequent powerful I internal shifting & change. I had already loosely planned my return when the world came to a grinding halt, but I will be back in the not too distant future. The name Zen certainly is a perfect descriptor for this piece of paradise. Namaste

I stayed nearly 3 weeks at Zen Resort and enjoyed every minute. The resort offers an amazing carefree package. I would like to highlight the great food, the treatments with the well trained therapists, the spacious and clean rooms, the yoga and meditation sessions and the beautiful garden! I also did my Open Water Diver Certificate with Arnaud who is amazingly experienced. Overall I would like to say that the whole Zen staff was above all expectations. Their biggest goal is to make your stay a memory for a lifetime. And they achieved! I can recommend it 100%

I stayed at Zen Resort for 5 days during my Easter Break: I arrived here by chance, when I found this resort online something told me to simply book it and go! Best decision ever! The resort itself is calm and quite, the perfect place where to switch off everything and just relax. I personally booked the package including diving activities: my days where well organised between yoga, meditation, diving and some Ayurveda treatments. Days passed by even too quickly, but thanks to the guidance and attention of the whole staff, any tiny bit of them worth deeply and thought me something. The diving sites (Tulamben and Menjangan Island) were wonderful: I appreciate the resort scheduling the fives very early in the morning when sites are not too busy. The bedrooms are amazing and super clean, with a porch where to relax in the front and signature outdoor shower on the back. Everyday the efficient staff cleans the room, add fresh flowers all around it and replenish the incense. The restaurant cooks delicious food following the Ayurveda principles using fresh fruits from the forest. To me, what makes this place truly special is the spirituality and the huge energy that it emanates: whichever is the reason that brought you there, in some way you will leave the place healed.

I travel to Zen Resort twice a year for work and it is the most magical, healing places to stay. The Ayurvedic massages are the best I've ever experienced in my life and the hotel grounds are just beautiful. The staff treat you like family, and this happened from the first time I stayed. They make the experience a truly loving, healing, enjoyable space. This is definitely my favourite place to stay in Bali, I can highly recommend it!

I stayed at the Zen resort for four nights to do my PADI advanced course. These five days were absolutely amazing. The staff at the Zen resort is extraordinary and does everything to make your stay unforgettable. I felt really great after these five days and would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a beautiful resort away from the touristic parts of Bali.

I stayed with a group doing a meditation and personal development program here. On the first day the staff instantly provided a wonderful welcome. Throughout my stay with Zen, people became like a family away from home. Their devotion to kindness, loving care that they provide their guests is astounding as it is given freely and genuinely. I thank the people at Zen resort so much for the joy they brought to my experience here in Bali. Highly recommend everyone who wants to see the richness of the culture that Bali to come stay here at Zen Resorts Bali.

Spent a month in Indonesia and the 8 days spent here were the best of the trip! Food was healthy and delicious, the grounds were beautiful, massages were by far the best I’ve ever experienced; and most importantly the staff was so welcoming, thoughtful, and kind. Overall a very healing experience. I’m hoping to make it back.

Zen Resort Bali is a paradise on earth. I felt like home since the first second I arrived. I found more peace, calmness and happiness. The yoga lessons and meditations hours were very good and always guided. Zen Resort is a place to relaxe and find your inner peace. The ayurvedic healthy treatments helps me to coming well. The ladys in the spa were very good and always kind and lovely. The treatments are indiviually for everybody to go wellcoming. Also the food was very delicous and also very good for me as a vegan. All workers in the Resort are helpfully, kind and very very friendly. A very special thing there is the creativity with many flowers it was fantasic to see this wonderful buildings everywhere on the floor or on the tabel like in a dream. What a magical place. From location to staff. Relaxed and learned so many things. Yoga, diving, wild dolphins, rice field trekking, the most amazing waterfall. Memories I will cherries for the rest of my life. Thank you!

Zen Resort Bali is amazing place that I'm returning to in a few months. Every aspect of my experience was superior to any resort I have ever visited. There are so many unique characteristics of this resort that it is impossible to mention them all. What is felt immediately upon arrival is the kind and caring staff's attention to every detail. I can't wait to return!

Best resort in the area

Very quiet place. Beautuful veiw from dip pool. Wife loved it was so private. I am a club kind of guy and the volcano club 20 min away. Little pricey for what it is but if you are into yogga i say this place is for you.

Samay Rita Gala of Corporate Coders, Mumbai, India or Rita Gala has never visited Zen Resort.....the three reviews are defamatory and are under legal review for defamation and damages. The issue is in July 2018 ( SRG) gave us a proposal ( see below) to develop 3 websites with a total price INR90K...we paid 50% deposit INR45K in August 2018 as specified....SRG failed to complete development of one website as of March 2020.and confirmed in writing that we could hand over the development to another vendor which we did, terminating our relation with SRG. Out of the blue in early October he wrote on skype wanting to finish the website. We declined to answer as our one website was already developed by a new vendor . Needless to say we are proceeding with further due process ( SRG who wrote 2 reviews at the same moment in time and we presume his father RG who wrote the third of Review also at the same time). There seems to be no process for Google to spot three reviews at the same time relating to the same issue. Corporate coder proposal July 2018......no website completed as of March 2020 Zen Resort Bali Full list of inclusions too long to list here Zen Dive Website: We would keep similar look and feel as Zen Resort Bali Updated site and link the harmony diving packages to Zen Resort Bali Harmony Diving section. And make that uniform. Zen Harmony Diving Website: We would keep similar look and feel as Zen Resort Bali Updated site. We would use this website for informational purpose and the Book now from menu will be linked to Zen Resort Bali’s Booking section. Other Points: 1. Code will be optimised. 2. Images will be optimised for lesser website size & quick load. 3. Mobile Responsive Website. 4. Images, Video links & Content needs to be provided by you. 5. Sitemap.xml, robot.txt, metatags, metadescription will be added as part of basic SEO. 6. SSL certificate will be installed but it has to be bought & provided by you. 7. Panel with easy UI would be created for adding & editing Blog Articles & testimonials. 8. Google Translator Plugin will be added. 9. Constant website demos will be provided to receive feedback & to do the necessary changes. 10. After final upload of website, bug fixes for 3 months will be provided in case any bug comes up. Timeline: 3 Websites 1.5 months. Costs: Design & Development charges for Zen Websites - Rs.90,000. Payment Guidelines: We will require 50% advance payment of the project cost and 50% after entire project completion and before making the website live. In case of any queries, feel free to reach us. Once we settle on the details, we would love to start work as early as possible.

Dr Mahendra Shah is a cheat & duped me of my money. Also, as the saying goes like father like Son. His son Jai who owns Zen Maitri in London also cannot be trusted. Beware of them & don't trust them with your money.

If there was 0 star, I would have rated that. Mahendra Shah who is the owner of this place scams people. He is a low level thief who scammed us INR 75000. I urge Zen Resort to do something about this & not let such a man ruin reputation of Zen Resort

The place is good however the owner Dr. Mahendra Shah is not. He is a petty thief who cheated us & duped our money. I hope this place changes it's owner as such man are not what Zen Resort deserves. I advise you to choose another place over this because Dr. Mahendra Shah cannot be trusted.
