DONT BOOK WITH THEM!!!! They are STEALING your money and then will NOT reply to any messages, email, instagram, fb messenger, booking or phonecalls. They are a huge SCAM and stole hundreds of dollars from us. When you book they need your creditcard details, just to verify. They will ripp your card and STEAL all of your money. After that they will not answer ANY messages!! I hope KARMA will get this hotel big time.

Place is a scam - DO NOT BOOK. We travelled from Yogyakarta to Denpasar then drove for 3.5 hours to get there, with a confirmed and paid Agoda booking in hand but were turned away. "Never heard of you." There was no manager on hand to speak to, just some junior staff member who "didn't know anything". After repeated attempts to call the absent manager in Denpasar, it turned out he "didn't know anything" either. Took us 3 days to contact Agoda and at time of writing they haven't managed to do anything about it (eg refund our money) either. And, of course, because we didn't actually stay there, I can't post this review on Agoda.

Booked with them and did free cancellation. They toom 308 euros without any notification and are not returning back my money. I tried texting them but they wont answer any messages. They dont answer phonecalls and they dont reply to any emails. Please return my money as it was a free cancellation. We had to postpone our Bali trip and you are not responding to any messages or phonecalls for WEEKS! It is a lot of money for me and my family and you dont have any right to keep that money since it is a free cancellation.

Place is very good and new. But there are few issues. Good part: - Very tasty cooking. - Very comfy bed, pillow, etc. - 4 star hotel facilities and design. - Very good swimming pool. - Staff very friendly and helpful. Issues: 1. Not accept any card. 2. WiFi covers only 30% of area. And telekomsel has no 3/4g here. So it's not possible to work or even open a Facebook. 3. No fixed eating menu. They can cook for you anything you want, but it's not possible to come and take something. Be prepared to rely on the shops and restaurants nearby. 4. Noisy. - Staff using motorbike on the territory. Waking me up everyday. - Music in the restaurant starts anytime. And it's very loud, extremely very loud. And it's not some smooth jazz or (damn) romantic collection. It can be Indonesian, or Chinese, or Western pop. Or just some TV. 5. Privacy issues. - General manager is very good and friendly. But he is everywhere. Always somewhere behind. It was funny in the first day, but mad in the last day. Overcare. - Houses are planned in very special way. All of them stay opposite to each other. So if you exit from the house - you are visible from everywhere. And general manager will find his way to you to ask something. But family rooms are much more better. Tips for you: 1. Prepare a lot of cash. 2. Prepare sim for internet if you rely on it. 3. Avoid 101, 102, 201, 202 houses as the most noisy and the closest to pool and restaurant music area. 4. Book a family houses for better privacy.

A private resort out of tourist place. They just opened this year, everything is pretty new and bed really comfortable. It’s the same with pictures. The food here extremely tasty!!!! They cooked us fresh sea fish in different way for dinner, fish soup, chicken meat, vegetables, breakfast they have western style or local fried rice/soup noodles, different fruits, they give us free fruits they grow by themselves. 5mins walk to local sea beach, it was little bit dirty and mess, but the owner arranged us to see wild dolphins with fisherman’s ship, 150k per person. It was early morning, beautiful sunrise, peaceful sea and dolphins very cute! The manager arranged us car to go next place, it was very convenient and fair price. They can also arrange snorkeling or diving. We enjoyed our stay here thanks to all the stuffs, they are very friendly and always ready to help.

A boutique resort that is peaceful, calm and relaxing. Newly opened in Jan-Feb 2018, the villas are clean, cosy and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and the staff are helpful and friendly.

One of the best villa resorts that i had been to. The resort boasts of several individual villas for honeymoon goers. There are also a few family villas that has a common living room space. There is a pool for adults and a pool space for kids as well. The restaurant is beside the pool, so feeling hungry or thirsty is just a stretch away from being quenched. The villa also has a very wide n open relaxing area. Hammocks, hanging tree seats and bean seats are arranged nicely on an open garden. This is great for everyone to chill alone or mix around with each other. Not just that, there is a even pool table, a table tennis table and even play area for kids to run around. This resort is near to the beach, to be precised, less than 5mins of walk is all u need.. Come over to this beach during sun set and u will b greeted with a nice view.. grab ur fotos here n put it up on insta! The downside to this place is that you will need your own transport, car rental is good enough. And the food choice is quite limited... but dont be disheartened koz d GM/owner is very friendly and accommodating.. Enjoy ur trip here!!!

Dewantara boutique village Resort... i don’t even know where to start. Out of our three week vacation on Bali this was actually the worst place we have gotten to. It took more than two hours to get here from Selemadeg. And when we arrived we were disappointed right away. There is nothing out here! I mean we were actually looking for nothing. But a beautiful way of nothing. I can’t find anything about this place that is beautiful. When we arrived we were greeted by a not so friendly Hotelmanager. First thing he told us was that breakfast is not included during our stay and we have to pay 100k pP. We tried to tell him that it says in the airbnb-description that breakfast is included. But he didn’t want to understand. So we got back with airbnb and they told us that they have this kind of breakfast trouble sometimes and that they will refund us the costs for the breakfast. Still, I think 100k for the breakfast is way too much for what we got. Ridiculous! Then we were escorted to our room. On our way we didn’t see other guests so we asked If we are the only people here at the moment. We were told that they were fully booked until yesterday and for now we are the only guests they have. (We stayed for four nights and there was no other guest during our stay! Weird, right?)Normally I would have been really happy to have everything to myself however this time it was kind of creepy. This so-called Hotelmanager (=cook = barkeeper) was evvvvrywhere! No privacy at all! Always sneaking up on you! So creepy! When we entered the room we had a quick tour a la “here is your room.... shower... safe”. We didn’t get an instruction on how to use the safe so we had to call the manager again later because we couldn’t make it work. After a quick and not really tasty dinner we went straight to bed hoping for the best for the next days. However the pillows were as soft as rocks so I went to the reception and asked for some softer pillows. Luckily they had some other ones for us!! The resort itself looks just like on the pictures. The grass is cut perfectly - why shouldn’t it be? - There is nothing else to do for the staff because there are no guests that need their attention. There is a ping pong and a billiard table which is nice. The pool area is also kind of nice (as long as the manager leaves you alone and is not watching every step you take). But the water is not clean. It’s kind of milky. But the sadest thing is that there is always a really bad smell at the pool. We couldn’t tell where the smell came from. Maybe another (burning) trash pile around the resort or so. (Btw! The same smell that wakes you up in the early morning) Really annoying if you can’t even enjoy the pool if there is nothing else to do here. The beach is only a five minute walk away. The sand is black and there are no waves. Would be perfect for swimming but there was a lot of trash lying around. We also found a dead chicken in the sand and some kind of factory only a couple of 100 meters away. Lovina is the next bigger “city”. It takes about 30 minutes to get there with the scooter. There are a few restaurants down there and some souvenir shops. We also saw some kind of water park halfway to Lovina which might be interesting for families. Still nothing worth the trip to the north of Bali. All in all I wouldn’t recommend the Dewantara boutique village Resort neither Lovina nor the north of Bali itself. The rest of Bali has so much more to offer than this place. I just can’t understand why people rated this place with five stars?!?!? I wish I had chosen a different place for our stay. This was a waste of time!

The place was absolutely beautiful. The manager helped us negotiate some difficult transportation arrangements. The whole staff was very friendly. We were sad we only spent 1 night there. If we come back to Bali we will definitely stay at Dewantara again.

Friendly, helpfull and professional staff, cozy and comfortable houses. Really enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely come back here in the future. Recommended if you stay in the north part of Bali.

Nice Hotel, clean and pets friendly. Only few meters from main road Singaraja - Gilimanuk. They have pool table, table tennis and swimming pool.
