The temple has three main Gods Lord Shiva, Lord Parvathi Devi as (Praneswari Amman) and Lord Shaniswara Bhagavan. The people in Saani Dhosa can visit this temple to reduce their stress and to get inner peace.People who visits the temple must bath in the temple pond by applying sesame oil(Nalla Ennai) to their head and leave thier dress in the pond(there is a column of box where you can drop your dresses. Please don't leave your dress in the pond which makes them dirty). After finishing your bath you can visit the Vinayagar temple which is near the pond and break coconut. Then visit the main God's temple .Its an wonderful place and everyone must visit this temple. This temple is located near the karaikal beach who can enjoy their vacation in beach and in temple.

Ticket of Rs 100 will take you directly to idol, no money means you have to walk for half kilometer and wait in queue for entering this temple. Convenient solution must be provided by the management for hassle free visit of this temple.

Located in Thirunallar, this Shaniswaran Temple has Lord Shiva appearing as Arulumigu Dharbaranyeswarara and His consort Parvati as Praneswari. One of the Navagraha Sthalas, this temple is associated with Shani (Saturn) Graha. The popular legend goes that Nala was ruling this region full of tropical grass locally called Darba after which the place came to be known as Darbaranyam (Aranyam indicates forest while Darba is a grass). Every person is afflicted by the movement of planet Saturn, which is believed to create negative effects on the lives of people. Nala was also afflicted by the planetary movement of Saturn on a day when he skipped standard practices of cleanliness. He is believed to have resided in the temple to get himself off the curses of Shani, the planet Saturn. He prayed to Shiva and wanted him to protect all the devotees afflicted with Shani to be protected when they visit the temple. Following the legend, people afflicted take a holy dip with oil in Nala theertham, the temple tank and wear black dress.

Thirunallar is a small town in Karaikal, India, in the Union Territory of Puducherry, and can be reached by road from the town of Karaikal, an enclave which lies within the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu. Unnecessarily screaming priests, tourist guides, rooms with excellent accommodation, low rent, screaming elephant guard, closed door to go to the temple and the toll collection center is at the forefront. Those who go to the temple stumble a little and then just go inquire, there is no proper route map.

The temple is famous for Shani bhagvan. Pilgrimage for doing special' Pooja affected with Shani dhosha. Maintained well . Fairly clean, considering the high foot falls. Special dharshan is available. Just like any important temple's. Well connected with road and rail. Just 3 hrs from Pondicherry. You can combine piligramage and holiday activity at sea shore.

The temple is devotional but Many people bathing in the temple pond using soap and shampoo. Thus, polluting the water. There is no person to check on it . The concerned authorities can take steps to prevent it. Any one of your clothes needs to be left after the bath. The temple is also called as Saneeswaran Temple (Saturn Temple). People who have shani dosha visit this Temple to relive it. The temple's pond is not near to the Temple. We need to walk some distance to get there. It was said that we must first visit the pond and then go to the Temple. The Temple was very well maintained. There were many buses and share cars to this temple from Karaikal bus stand. There is a good connectivity from bus stand.

Visiting someplace new is always an exciting affair, especially when we seek tranquillity and freedom from worldly chaos. The quietness you seek and the freedom to let go of any worldly expectations is gratifying and indescribable. Your trip is all set to touch base with inner peace if it's a temple you're planning to visit. Imagine arriving amidst a quaint setting and serene vistas, and you'll realise you're in Puducherry. Think of an immersive aura with divinity all around you, and you'll know it's the Sri Dharbaranyeswara Swamy temple! #Trivia: This Temple is one of the 275 Shiva Sthalams! About the Sri Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Temple Dharbaranyeswarar is another name for Lord Shiva, and the Dharbaranyeswarar Temple is a Hindu temple named after him. The temple is located in Karaikal about 60 kms from Kumbakonam. The main deity here is Darabaranyeshwara - Lord Shiva. Goddess Parvathi is also housed in this temple complex. The Saneeswara temple is a small garbhagudi at the entrance to Goddess Parvathi temple. This place is a must visit if you are on a Navagraha tour.

Different rules for different people. Charged 100 rupees for special darsan but ended up in normal queue. Priests bringing govt. Servants and their friends through special gates and offer them quick and special prayers. Unfair even in god' place.

Shiva temple in the form of Lord Dharbaranyeswarar, which is also popularly known as Saneeswaran temple. The Navagraha Sthala is dedicated to Shani or Saturn. This temple is known as Thirunallar Saneeswara Temple. We had seen a large number of people coming to worship Saneeswaran on Saturdays. Devotees suffering from Shani Dosha come here to pray to Saneeswaran and then take a bath in the Nala Theertham. By doing this, one is able to eliminate the negative effects of one's past karma. Upon entering the Thirunallar temple, we can see a small shrine dedicated to Nala. As we approach the main shrine, we will see the gold-plated Dwajasthambam. To the left of this main shrine is the Saneeswara shrine. Among the other deities in this temple are Karpaka Vinayakar, Kalathinatha, Subramanya, and Swarna Vinayaka. The temple is open from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The Sri Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Temple, located in the town of Thirunallar in Tamil Nadu, is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site and a beautiful temple complex. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is said to have been built during the 12th century AD. The most striking feature of the temple is its towering gopuram or tower, which is intricately carved and painted with vibrant colors. The temple complex also includes several smaller shrines and a large courtyard. The temple's religious and cultural significance is further enhanced by the legend associated with it. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shani, the planet Saturn, was cursed by Lord Shiva to reside at Thirunallar, and it is believed that worshipping at the temple can alleviate the negative effects of Saturn in a person's life. Apart from its religious importance, the Sri Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Temple is also a remarkable example of ancient Indian architecture and engineering. The intricate carvings, detailed sculptures, and impressive design of the temple are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans of that era. Overall, the Sri Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Temple is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Indian history, culture, and architecture. The temple's grandeur, beauty, and religious significance make it a truly unforgettable experience

powerful god! Saturday will be very rush in the morning but going in saturday is special! We visited on Monday around 11.40pm. no crowd. Around 12 pm we can watch abishekam. 50rs ticket is not needed during weekdays as you can freely watch. Try to avoid going earlier it may lead you to stuck in crowd, go around 11-12 AM you will find crowd is lesser. Other days it’s normal crowd you can go any time

The Sri Dharbaranyeswara Temple, nestled in Thirunallar village in Karaikal district, within the Union Territory of Puducherry, offers a serene experience. Our early morning visit on a weekday ensured a peaceful darshan, followed by a purifying bath at the nearby Nalla Thertham. Worshiping Lord Siva and Saneeswara Bagawan, one of the Navagraha temples representing Saturn, was spiritually fulfilling. This temple draws individuals experiencing the transit of Saturn in their horoscopes, contributing to its consistent yet modest footfall throughout the year.
