Disappointed with our stay. Booked a "standard double" room and the bed was two single beds pushed together? Ok. The mini fridge in our room was not cold at all, and when we told the front desk, the woman said the it was only intended to keep things room temperature...???? Bizarre. Sounds like a lie about a broken mini fridge to me. Only place to get ice to cool our drinks was the bar downstairs. Nice beach nearby and the room had all the basics otherwise, the staff at the bar and restaurant were very nice, but the concierge was rude and condescending. Breakfast was an average "hotel" breakfast, not great but ok. Nice pool but we were required to wear swim caps to use it? Also, they gave us one set of pool towels for free, but said any more would cost one euro. We were happy to reuse them but housekeeping took them from our rooms even though they were hanging up! We were not pleased about that - felt like they were trying to force us to pay for extra towels. We used our own. Overall I was not very pleased with the guest experience. I would most likely go elsewhere if I am ever in Peniche again.

My husband and I were very underwhelmed by this hotel. It looks lovely in pictures but when you get there the customer service and finishing touches could be improved. Firstly we were on our honeymoon and had written this in the comments section of the hotel booking. We were hoping there might be something special when we arrived but there was nothing and not even a mention from staff when we checked in. The hotel felt like it was newly built and had not settled yet. We arrived to our room and the shower seal was not tight and there was a puddle of water on the floor from a previous use. This made it feel like it hadn't been cleaned properly as the cleaners had missed it. It then continued to leak every time we had a shower. I don't really see how this wasn't raised. There was also no ash tray on the balcony but there was a glasses case left by a previous guest which hadn't been cleared so I used that as an ashtray! You had to use a swimming cap to use the indoor pool which you had to purchase. We did so, but on using the pool saw that it was being used for a diving lesson and they were spitting in the water. We didn't really see the point of using a swim cap when thats going on and didn't really want to go in with divers in there with masks. Wasted our money on the swimming caps after waiting for the divers to leave and then only spending 10 minutes in the pool. The staff were fairly good but we had a few occasions where things were not clear or we wanted things arranged (like a massage which was advertised) and they seemed to show obvious annoyance at us rather than showing good customer service. On a positive point the hotel was stylish but it just lacked character. I think it needs some added attention to be classed as high quality. Attention to detail needs to be improved.

During the stay there was a private party, where they had very loud music till 11pm, but didn't bother much, as i tend to go to bed later than that. Overall, the Star Inn Peniche is a well-located and comfortable hotel, providing excellent value for money. Whether you're planning a beach vacation or a sightseeing trip, this hotel is a great choice for your stay in Peniche.

By accident I decided to stay three nights in this hotel next to the beach. I am very glad it went down this way. Every single member who is working there is super friendly and makes sure you feel at home. Great service, fine facilities and the food was very tasty for a decent price. Thanks a lot!

Hotel ocation excellent. Staff very helpful. The half board otion well worth the price and from what i saw too few taking advantage of this food option. I would gladly reurn here.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great at 100 meters from beach. The interior pool was very good. The room was big, good for families with one child. The breakfast was good with good variety. Next to hotel is a surf school and the beach is good for practicing surf.

Clean, big rooms at 1 minute from the beach. The breakfast had a wide variety of food and the swimming pools were perfect to chill (at least the exterior one). Highly recommended. I don't give the 5 stars because of the very noisy and highly crowded interior pool and the poor quality of the WiFi network.
