No English menu, friendly stuff. Pastries were great but the wraps we had were a little blunt. Prices are totally fine for the amount of food you get. Same for drinks. A lot of people from the neighborhood go there which is always a good sign. Definitely not a tourist spot

Was supposed to pay € 10.euros and I gave the card but didn’t look until later they charge on my card over € 40 just for a coffee orange juice and small bolo do caco with butter. They overcharged when you don’t look at the machine just give the card and they put the money up and overcharged .

Really good bakery and snack bar! Delicious cakes and good selection of drinks and snacks of all kinds. A bit loud at the street corner and mostly very crowded at the evening.

Visited this lovely coffee place every morning for breakfast before a trip around Madeira 😍 The selection of pastries and cakes are huge! Really tasty fish and chicken pastries! Sweet buns are delicious! The staff treated us in a very professional and friendly manner. Highly recommended!!

Delicious cakes and toasts. A Madeira Island traditional brand. Please ask for "queijada" (soft cheese tart) or "bola de Berlim com creme branco" (doughnut with sweat cream filling) . Good house made bread too made with organic mixed brown and white flour and ferment.

Burgers were quite good and very cheap, starting from 3e! But then again the coffee costs the same in tiny cup. Cakes we ate were not cery tastyl and my pastry was dry. This was a cafe used by local people. Surroundings and service were not very attractive.

This cafe and bakery is, without a doubt, the best on the island. With its international atmosphere and intense sense of Madeira's hospitality heritage, it is a true gem. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that is unique to Madeira. The quality of the coffee and baked goods is truly exceptional, with a wide variety of delectable treats on offer. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the cafe, from the artfully presented food to the friendly and attentive staff. Overall, this establishment is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates exceptional coffee, delicious baked goods, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly captures the essence of Madeira's hospitality heritage.

Very delicious Pasteis de Nata and freshly made espresso. Even when it's very full on a Saturday afternoon the staff manages to serve the people in an adequate time. You can observe the surroundings sitting outside. Unfortunately there is a big construction site right now in front of the cafe with a lot of noise from heavy Machines. But besides that a wonderful café

Absolutely my one and only destination for coffee and breakfast sandwich in the morning. What a lucky happenstance to have Penha d’Aguia so close.

Great affordable prices, delicious daquiris at €5 each and a tasty strawberry tart to go with it. Would highly recommend and would go again.

We enjoyed a late breakfast/lunch. Big variety of pastries, sandwiches, burgers, omelettes etc. Good goffee also. The juices and smoothies were great. Place is really popular so it felt a bit crowded and the cigarette smoke coming from multiple places was little bit disturbing. Overall a good place

This place is wonderful. My husband and I often go for lunch and have their omelette or fish sandwich that is prepared on any bread you choose and coffee with plant-based milk. Their fries are amazing and they offer an outrageous variety of pastries and sweets. They are often busy but have always been very nice and courteous. Definitely recommend this place.
