Found my new go-to cafe! GF buns available for sandwiches. Breakfast and lunch available all day. Nice accessible single-occupancy bathrooms.

Enjoyed the iced coffees and pastries - they had a few biscotti options, the Java chip was very good and so was the spinach and cheese croissant. Expansive lunch menu as well if you’re looking for soup or a sandwich Seating is a bit limited

My favorite Crownsville gem. The chocolate croissants and cappuccinos are excellent. Great selection of breakfast, lunch, teas and little gifts. The café is tiny but on nice days you can use the picnic seating out back. Staff is always super ☕🥐 Signage is also top knotch.

Have been going here for quite some time, and my fiancée used to work here for a bit as well! — so a bit bias perhaps, but a long overdue review! Their staff is great, and most the employees have been there for quite a while so there’s always a nice home-y feeling, especially during the holidays when they have decorations up! 🎅 The lattes are always great, and they offer all the options you could want. The food is also pretty great! A nice place to sit in with for a quick lunch date or work on your laptop if you’re into that at coffee shops. One of the owners is Australian, and on the first Saturday of every month they sell Australian lambingtons and sausage rolls — definitely recommend getting there in the morning for one of these sometime! The only downfall is that for the life of me I can never remember to take a picture with my beanrush card for their wall, but that’s obviously on me not them 😁 Awesome place to come support your local coffee shop!!

I ordered a large valentines themed drink with oatmilk and decaf. However, after sipping it for around 20min and not finishing even a quarter of it, I started to feel some stomach cramping. I felt fine before I entered the establishment, and had lunch over 2 hours beforehand. Thinking I just needed to go to the bathroom, I did, but the stomach cramping and queasiness remained. Wanting to calm my stomach down, I told them about how the drink made me feel, and if I could have some peppermint tea to calm my stomach down. One of the baristas said, "Hey it happens" probably inferring that I ate something before coming to the establishment that made me queasy, or I did something to warrant my current condition, instead of the drink I was unable to really even drink due to how it was affecting me. They still charged me half of the value of the tea ($2) and did not compensate me for the other drink I paid for and hardly drank ($7). I am also a repeat customer, but am considering not frequenting after this experience. Later, since I sat in for a while, I noticed they were cleaning out a coffee container. Maybe the decaf? I also started to feel better after drinking the peppermint tea. All I can hope is that they checked the decaf container, the oatmilk, and whatever else they used to make the drink to make sure that nothing happened on their end that was preventable.

Definitely better than Starbucks. Better buy, better quality coffee and food. Excellent baked goods including whole grain muffins. Real salads and sandwiches made on demand. Need Cafe atmosphere.

Holy guacamole! If you're in the market for a BANGIN' Dirty Chai, this is the place. Their espresso is brilliantly pulled, smooth and beautiful. The staff always warmly greet me and are forever friendly. Take some time to checkout their photo book of traveling patrons while you wait for an expertly crafted drink.

Had a really fantastic lunch here! Turkey and cheddar custom sandwich on white bread with their chipotle mayo. They toast the bread and we all know toasted bread makes everything better! Very tasty sando with fresh ingredients, including shaved carrots, which really set it off. I also had a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup which was delicious as well. Perfect mixture of veggies and chicken with just the right consistency of broth. The coffee smelled amazing and I’ll be returning to try it. Can’t wait!

This is just a review for the chai latte. It tasted just like warmed milk with the slightest flavor. Very cute place and friendly staff just not worth the $5 for something with no flavor. I would go again to try something different.

Great shop. Coffee is DELICIOUS. Staff is super nice. Prices are standard for a cafe. But most importantly their whole bean specialty coffee is great. I usually buy at least one bag a week.

Cute little shop in the cut off of Generals Highway. Really enjoyed the small cafe feel. Limited seating, decent menu, and the folks working there were pleasant for o'dark-thirty in the morning.

Nice staff, cute place, good coffee but food is very meh. Appears to be microwaved egg patties with little taste, bagels usually burnt and not chewy like a good bagel. Order is usually messed up in some way, with wrong cream cheese, etc. Matcha frappe tastes 100% like coffee, 0% matcha. Pumpkin bread is most flavorful item. Overall, 4/10. Sorry

Found this great little place! Great coffee and tea, and a long menu. I had a fantastic muffin! What a great hidden gem! Better than ANY chain coffee shop.

Went here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised and impressed! There were a ton of options on the menu not only for coffee but for food as well! I will definitely be back to try other things!

Always enjoy the lox bagel. Not too many places carry a skinny bagel which I love. I love that you can order ahead because some days are really busy.

I like the coffee here. The lattes are okay. The turkey and sprouts is dreamy. The cookies and smoothies my daughter loves. My setback is how the flow of the counter/pickup is. As soon as you walk in it feels like a tight bubble. You walk over people eating, and no one wants strangers hovering. If they would switch the register, the flow would work so much nicer. Or separate that area entirely. It's really the only coffee is town, so my comments mean zero. I'd go more if I felt it was easier, but don't because it always seems like a cluster f.

Bean Rush Crownsville is my go-to for a late morning day-off coffee and breakfast. Nitro with a shot and the 1 slice hummus toast on sourdough hits the spot. The staff are friendly AF. It’s just a nice place to be. Addz, my beautiful pup pictured, wanted to say she agrees with my review.

Quick service and nice staff, but food is a bit subpar. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese to go. When we arrived home, I found the tiniest piece of bacon for the entire sandwich. Not worth the drive out there, but the staff have always been friendly and timely.

Nice café. Good egg salad sandwich. Excellent good size fresh basil chicken rice soup. The muffins looked great too.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean. Ambience is welcoming. Free parking lot that isn't too crowded. Limited seating indoors and only two tables outside, not great for large groups. More of a take-out place, but service is fairly fast. Not much in the area that is walkable to if you were planning a hang-out. Paninis are good. Other sandwiches, food items, and non-coffee beverages are okay. Prices are reasonable.

This is my favorite local coffee bar. Daily sandwich and soup specials to the rescue when teleworking and don't feel like cooking. They also have kids lunches, which are great to pick up on the way into school. I probably stop in 2-3 times a week.

Lovely tucked away spot with a beautiful picturesque atmosphere and the best seating area you’ll find around. Baristas are always nice, especially the one with the magenta hair. I’ll have to ask her her name next time lol ! Always worth a visit here. I have never ordered the food but the espresso is excellent. ☕️

When the experience here is good, it’s very good. But there are plenty of times when the place is too crowded and the layout of the store coupled with the inability of the employees to efficiently move the line along makes the experience terrible. It would be a more enjoyable place if they’d restrict people from smoking within feet of the front door. The food items are fairly mediocre, the coffee is probably a few steps above national chains, and the prices are a tad on the steep side.

Bean rush is a particular favorite of mine thoigh I don't treat myself often. I love the coffee shop feel. I do miss their handwritten signs though!

Been going to this coffee shop for some time now. What an amazing place to get good drinks. I love the espresso in the lattes and all the flavor combinations of the speciality lattes are so tasty. The espresso has notes of caramel, chocolate and nuts. The staff is so welcoming and I love the cozy feel of this coffee shop. Highly recommend!

Great spot to meet a friend and catch up, their drinks were tasty and the food yummy. We loved being able to exit through the back to find an outdoor seating area. We'll definitely go back soon.

I popped in, unsure of what to expect, and was SO pleasantly surprised! I got a Honeybee Latte and a breakfast sandwich (with Gluten Free Bread). They asked to check how Gluten sensitive I am to be sure they didn't cross contaminate me, which I greatly appreciated (I'm just sensitive, but still very nice of them). I did work while there and wound up ordering lunch (Chicken BLT and a GF buckeye brownie) 🤩🤩🤩 So many GF goodies for those who eat GF (along with of course typical glutinous items), and amazing goodies! I am so glad I stumbled upon this gem. Such sweet staff, who walked me through how-to order and such, once they learned I'd never been. Such a sweet little spot. Reminds me of the Bean Hollow in old EC pre- floods❤💔 I will absolutely be back!

Relatively new spot with amazing coffee and goodies. Nice way to kick the day off or stop by to get something to uplift your mood. Highly recommend the chocolate banana bread if you can get some.

😠 This is an edited review that was 4 stars at first. I asked for extra mushrooms. This isn’t even regular mushrooms. The chick at the counter said she put soooo many mushrooms. Please stop stealing from people I work hard for my money and want to be able to enjoy my food the way I asked for it to be...
