Our stay was truly amazing. The staff, no my new family (Calvin, James, Nicky, and Chef Scott Bacon) welcomed us with exceptional service and love. My wife and I enjoyed the room; and after dinner conversations with the other guest by the fireplace added to this exceptional getaway. The Ivy has become are second home. We are planning another getaway in August. See you soon.

Went to the Ivy for a massage gifted by my best friend for my birthday and it was the best experience ever! Raquel was amazing! I will definitely be back and won’t see anyone else but her. I told her I wanted a relaxing massage as other places I’ve been to are so used to deep tissue. She gave me exactly what I asked for. 10/10 would recommend.

Our stay was spectacular!! A pinnacle in boutique luxury. Everything and everyone was lovely. We are now looking for reasons to return to Baltimore and stay at The Ivy again.

Hello Hunny Bees!!! 🌻🐝👑💕 It's your girl Hunny again giving a review of another local small business. Working for the government I have been dealing with depression, anxiety, stress situations and racing thoughts. My best friend LaKisha gifted me a spa day. From the moment I walked in the staff even the valet was expecting me. They made me feel like everything is going to be alright. They made the entire day about me. The atmosphere is Gorgeous the decorations and furniture are stunning!! Very high scale. It's a bit overwhelming all of the art pieces and furniture but beautiful nonetheless. They sat me in front of a fireplace to keep warm while they added finishing touches on their preparation for me. I had a massage and facial. The massage was amazing, I snored 😂. The facial was so good 😊 I definitely will be back. Check them out Tuhday!!! This is Sippin Tea with Hunny Be!! 🌻🐝👑💕

If you want to stay at a hotel that really lives up to its 5 star rating, The Ivy Hotel is the place to go. This boutique hotel truly and wonderfully pampers its guests, so much so, that you just don't want to leave. Some of the other 5 star hotels in the Baltimore area, should take a page from the The Ivy Hotel on how to provide an excellent guest experience. The some of the wonderful "stand-out "staff we met which provided this experience were, Harrison, Amanda, Nicki, Nicole, Amira, Joshua, Raquel , just to name a few. Everyone was great. Although this beautiful luxury boutique hotel doesn't have a pool, ....but by design, it has so much more to offer. It has 18 sumptuous well appointed rooms (that you'll never want to leave), excellent service, a great spa, good food and luscious surroundings that create the feeling of being at a wondeful private retreat where the staff makes effort to curate a memorable rich guest experience for you. The stay is worth the cost. We stayed here for our anniversary and plan to come back here before the next one.

A gem in the heart of Baltimore! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at The Ivy and had a wonderful stay there. James, Daniel, Calvin and Anthony took great care of us. A very special thank you to Gary and Amanda!!!! They made us feel like family in the way they served us breakfast and tea every day. The service was superb and I appreciated how clean the room and hotel was. It was an excellent stay and we will definitely be back!

The finest hotel we have ever stayed in. We default to Marriott and have stayed at legendary, impressive brands. The Ivy outclasses them all. From the moment we arrived and handed over our car to the valet, we knew we were going to be cared for by a well-trained TEAM. Every single member has obviously been trained in service and teamwork. They were simply outstanding. The concierges all had a broad knowledge of the surrounding area but were obsessed with making sure we received the experience we wanted. They were pleasant and engaged without being garralous. They paid attention. When I highlighted a possible error on a 2rd party travel website, they took it personally and got to the bottom of it. They understand service is not perfection, but a relentless commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement. The food was splendid. The breakfasts were delicious, the daily afternoon teas were refreshing, relaxing, and welcome. Dinner was always delicious. So the price is higher than usual-and 100% worth it. Yes, they provided value to us as clients and we would gladly return. Spectacular time!

I needed serious relaxation & pampering. The Ivy Hotel delivered just that. Every encounter made us feel welcome & cared for. Every bite & sip that touched our lips was a pleasure. And turned out that every little pleasure was already included with the room!

My husband and I met and got married in Baltimore and so we make it a point to visit from time to time. We decided to spend a little extra this time around for our babymoon. The Ivy Hotel exceeded our expectations with A+ service from the moment we got there to the moment we left (valet offered us cold beverages as he was loading our things in the car.) The hotel was very beautiful and every room was tastefully decorated. Afternoon tea was very enjoyable. The only meal we had from outside was dinner (we did not want to go out so we had the food delivered.) The concierge told my husband he would take care of it and brought the food up with a tray, plates, utensils and water. Breakfast was awesome as well, prepared fresh and customized to our liking. Even the fruits and corn bread were a step up from most other places. Nikki, who served both afternoon tea and breakfast, was excellent. To finish off our staycation, we got massages. I have had massages in various countries, but this was an entirely different experience from everything else I've had so far. Bed was heated and very comfortable, remote-controlled and can be adjusted in different areas. Music was great. Hot towels on my feet and abdomen. Dimani (I hope the spelling is correct) was very skilled, and he applied just the right amount of pressure. Husband had the hot toddy ritual foot massage and he was very happy with the experience as well. The cherry on top of the whole experience was that the Ivy Hotel had a no tipping policy, but the service was excellent all around. I feel that the pressure of tipping adds a lot of stress to vacations, but the policy to me, was what really elevated the place to worry-free luxury. Thank you to James, the nighttime concierge (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) and the rest of the staff. We hope to be back.

Did a one-night stay after our wedding. This place is unbeatable. What an experience. I can't imagine what they did to earn anything less than 5-stars on any review. Their attention to detail is phenomenal and the place is magical. If you can afford this spot, the experience is worth every penny.

We'll stay here every time we visit Baltimore. This was the best service I've experienced in the U.S. Every time we rode with James we got a history lesson that we enjoyed. Nikki was a pleasure at breakfast and afternoon tea. James provided thoughtful recommendations. And we had a lot of fun talking with Rob the night we arrived. We felt The Ivy was a great value because of the service alone, but all of the included amenities (valet, car service, breakfast, afternoon tea, bar, etc.) took the value to another level.

The Ivy Hotel is such a special experience. From service to design to the highly inclusive amenities, everything is thought of leaving you feeling incredibly cared for and relaxed. After my first stay with through work, I brought back my husband, then my mom and sister, and then my cousins. I truly can't get enough. See Leanne in The Spa who specializes in myofascial release-- best massage I've ever had. Every room is a jewel box and I love that you can simply pour yourself a drink at the mansion cocktail bar whenever you please. Breakfast, afternoon tea, drinks, and valet are all included -- I recommend spending at least a few nights so you can truly indulge.

My experience at The Ivy Hotel was nothing short of AMAZING!!! We were treated like royalty from the moment we pulled in for check-in until we pulled off after check-out Upon arrival, Harrison greeted us with glasses of champagne and gave us a tour of the hotel. We really enjoyed the rich history shared of not only the hotel grounds but also of the city of Baltimore. Immediately following the tour, Anthony escorted us to noon tea. Anthony great attention to detail, knowledge of tea, and excellent service blew us away! Later that evening, car service transported us to dinner. We throughly enjoyed our ride with William! He was witty, funny, and knowledgeable of the city of Baltimore. The following morning, James escorted us to breakfast in which Amanda ensured that our breakfast experience was like none other! Her food recommendations, attention to detail, and high level of service left us speechless! This was our first trip to Baltimore but definitely won’t be our last! The Ivy is the ONLY place to stay while in Baltimore!

Fantastic first experience at The Ivy Hotel: the staff went above and beyond at every turn. They were the true stars of the weekend: greeting us by name upon arrival and making sure we had everything we needed without asking. That said, the room, the afternoon tea (on the terrace because we lucked out with a gorgeous summer/fall day), the spa treatment (massage), the game room and library, the breakfast at the Magdalena before checkout, and the grounds were all wonderful. Highly recommend staying at The Ivy Hotel if you enjoy a full-service experience!

This was a wonderful accidentally find! We were looking for something fun to do with family over new years...so happy we decided to make the drive. The mansion is beautiful and each room has a theme. The rooms themselves are elegantly decorated with a sitting area, fireplace and amazing bathroom. The service was excellent and so friendly that you felt like a guest in a friend's home....we can't wait to go back!

As a wedding photographer with an eye for design (I blame it on my architecture degree!), photographing an intimate winter wedding at the Ivy Hotel felt like a dream for so many reasons... every space both indoors and out is thoughtfully designed with so many beautiful finishes, patterns, colors and textures and such a romantic, luxe feel. The conservatory makes for a beautiful portrait spot among the lush greenery and fireplace while the courtyard garden provides the perfect backdrop that truly feels like an oasis in the city. I can't wait to be back! IG: @urbanrowphotography

The moment we walked in we knew this property was unlike any other we had stayed at before. James and staff were exceptional in catering to our needs. Tea, Breakfast, and dinner at Magdalena were exceptional. We can't wait to visit again!

I'm so sad to write this review because I really wanted to go to the Ivy. Read all the reviews, and planned to be there for my birthday, but the customer service has been extremely frustrating and not aligned with what I've read online. I really hope management sees this review and responds because Im extremely disappointed and now Im scrambling to make birthday plans since I've received such poor service. We were given the wrong information initially, made plans to be there and when we called to confirm a reservation, we were told we could not get the package we asked about. My partner called a couple of times and left voicemail messages because his initial phone calls were not returned. When we did speak with a manager he told us that even though the employee gave us the wrong information, he could not honor the package we wanted. Another package would be available and he would call us with the new information. He didn't call. We called back a week later, but they still didn't know what the new package would be and we were supposed to get a call 48 later. That didn't happen either. Needless to say, I'm done, now having to make new plans less than 2 weeks before my birthday. Both my partner and I are business owners and know that this is not how you treat customers. Ivy, you have to do better!

We had a wonderful time for our 17th wedding anniversary! James, the daytime concierge took great care of us. Bri, Nikki, Anthony and Chris our driver, really made us feel at home and saw to every detail. Janelle, the night time concierge, even retrieved our dessert from the restaurant and brought it to our room. Every moment made us feel special. From the time I first called, Josh did everything he could for me. Mr Arthur and Christina from the spa ensured My dreams came true. Thank you all!

We had the most beauteous stay last weekend at The Ivy! The property is spectacular, the rooms are unique and palatial, the service is world-class, the food and drinks are divine, and all of the amenities far exceeded our expectations. We were treated with so much care and could sincerely tell that those who work on property love what they do. This is a MUST VISIT property! I'll be back soon!

Every detail was well thought out and planned. As soon as you entered the hotel the ambiance made you feel at home. The staff felt like friends. We had breakfast before departing and the meal did not disappoint, fresh, locally sourced and from scratch. It was hard to leave.

Just wow! My boyfriend did a surprise garden proposal to me on cinco de mayo 2023 and it was so magical! From everyone in the staff…the valet, servers, waiters, cooks, hosts, front desk staff to the concierge, were all in on it and were so sweet and professional to the very end. They even played along after the proposal to surprise me again on a fake hotel tour which led us to my next surprise, which was him surprising me with a two night stay! It was so intimate and special. The dinner was nice and my breakfast was perfect! Our suite was so cozy and filled w culture! From a small nook for reading in our room, a deep tub and a beautiful canopy bed. The hotel is magic all in one! Offerings of historical books along the paths to your room that are open to all guests to grab and read. From tea time and drink offerings throughout the day. Room service was perfect and the hotel is nestled away so perfectly! Definitely one of Baltimore’s hidden gems! Just want to say THANK YOU to everyone at the Ivy that helped Michael plan such a night to remember! We will cherish that night and weekend for the rest of our lives. It was everything to me! The Ivy is now a staple in our hearts! Special thanks to Terry for helping Michael with everything. Forever grateful. -Mike & Reeci

We just spent a 4 day babymoon at the Ivy and it was the perfect cozy getaway! The staff went above and beyond - James, Calvin, Janelle, Theresa, Anthony and everyone else were so kind and accommodating! Highlights of the trip include: - cozy hotel room with fireplace - best omelette we’ve ever had - the grits - wow - the Spa - double wow - drivers were able to take us everywhere we wanted to go within the 3 mile radius (which is as far as you need to go to explore Baltimore) I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the stay! The Ivy will always hold a special place to us as we expand our family. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so spectacular! We will be back!

The hotel looks amazing. I really enjoy the furnish in the hotel. The staff is extremely nice and their service was great, especially for the afternoon tea and breakfast. The breakfast was so amazing! Best breakfast I had among the five star hotels. Love the welcome cheese and wine. Also, the hotel will refill the drink in the refrigerator, and all is free. Staff also give us a tour for hotel’s everything, that’s nice! However, my visit was after a heavy storm in Maryland. The time I checked in wasn’t have any power in the hotel. After couple hours, they told me the power may never come back on today. The manger gave me two options: one is stay and the hotel price 50% off, and the other is I check out and I get my money 100% back. For the second choice, I don’t need to pay anything even I enjoy the afternoon tea and room wine already. At the end I choice to come back tomorrow cuz I really want try the Ivy hotel. It feels really different on the next visit, after they get power back. Everything was wonderful! However, after my morning workout, I took a cold water bath. I didn’t have any warning until I told the staff my room does not have hot water while I was checking out. The staff told me they already called the company to fix the problem but they didn’t come yet. I think I should be told before, a call or an email all works, instead, it makes me feel like they don’t want me to find out the water heater is not working. If I didn’t take shower, I may never find out. I don’t like this feeling. Overall, if the power outrage and water heater problem not happened, I will definitely rate 5 stars for the Ivy. However, this review is reviewing my experience, my experience was 4 stars. Because of the power outrage, I push all my travel plan 1 day after because of it. The hotel doesn’t have any make up on me, and plus the cold water bath. I have to say the hotel management for Relais & Châteaux hotel is extremely solid(everything you see you hear you taste in hotel makes you feel comfortable), I might rate even lower than 4 starts. I would blame everything bad to the power outrage.

What a wonderful hotel filled with history and service. I have stayed at many hotels around the world, but the level of service here exceeds anything previously experienced. The food is delicious and the open bar remarkably available both in lobby and room. First class and worth the fare.
