Very disappointing. Used our local store rather than order on the internet. On 10th February we bought a fair amount of snorkeling equipment and ordered optical inserts for googles and paid for them as we were told they would be available on 13th. Rang a week later when had heard nothing to be told they were still not in and should be in "soon". Rang this morning (Wed 28th Feb) and was told they were supposedly in transit and he had been just about to chase it up. Was promised a return call to update. Did not receive a call so rang again to be told they could not be guaranteed in time for our holiday starting this Saturday. Was told they had done all they could to get them in time - patently untrue as they hadn't even bothered to ring back to let us know the position so we could make alternative arrangements. Have now ordered online and had to pay for express delivery so they will turn up in time. Avoid if you want anything not currently in stock

As a 'retired' diver but wanting a snorkeling holiday to get my better half into the feel of tropical/warm water diving, visited Surrey Dive Centre to re-stock with masks, fins and snorkels. Good selection and a reasonable price and was able to get everything in one 'hit'..... bar a pair of 'jellies', which they tried to order from Italy. Eventually, sourced these elsewhere later as the trip was fast approaching and promptly received a refund from SDC. A call to say that they were having difficulties obtaining the 'jellies' would have been good and saved some time. Otherwise, good service nevertheless and thanks.

Passionate friendly staff who really know their stuff do their best to offer competitive prices versus the Internet which considering they're running a small local store is unbelievable. Please shop here to keep our local dive store open and make sure we have access to the servicing and expertise we all need so we can stay in the water

Had an air fill here last week, very helpful and professional service. Great to have this facility just down the road. Update- had another air fill today, all completed while I waited. Recommended.

Good to have a local business, it is obvious that it is staffed by people who are actual divers, though as a result they do not want to spend all their time in a shop, so opening times are limited!

Needed prescription mask lenses fast and they had a good stock on the shelf. Well done

A few issues, which is disappointing as dive shops are few and far between and i'm all for supporting small independent shops ! Dropped off an OC1 dive watch which prior to the battery running out a couple of years ago worked fine; since the battery dying the watch was left in bedside draw for all 2020 due to COVID! - then it's taken into SDC for new battery only to suddenly now be leaking after THEY put a new battery in! Oceanic only offering a discount on a replacement as not in warranty. Went to pick up from the shop as can't afford to buy a new watch at £4-500 even with a discount, the experience from 'computer says no" assistant in SDC was astonishing - firstly SDC don't accept Apple Pay - coming a distance (finishing work early to do so) to pick up my watch is a real inconvenience, 'SO' - not our problem response really annoys customers - if this has always been the case surely you should let people know this? a sign perhaps ? Then whilst expressing my dissatisfaction the assistant casually turns her back and answers the phone. When she did bother to come back it was reluctantly. As i'd decided to just use the watch for every day wear now I thought thats fine, but NO the time doesn't stay on the face as it's now got a gliche. In just 15 minutes I was reminded of how some dive shops used treat people in the 90's (when i started diving) - with contempt unless you were buying the most expensive stuff and was in their 'club'

Just had the most expensive air fill here - £20 for twin 7ltr tank. I was charged double because it’s a twinset, regardless of the fact that it is a manifolded set so only uses one whip to fill. If it had been one 15ltr tank (so larger capacity) it would have cost £10. I have never been charged double for a twinset before, it’s simply a rip off, I do not recommend this shop and I won’t be back.
