🫤 Booked a furniture collection. It was very difficult to make an appointment. Booked a furniture collection. It was very difficult to make an appointment. Nobody contacted me in over a week and I had to go to the store to arrange the collection, which is more than three weeks after I made my initial request. On the collection day, two men came without a lot of preparations. They could not take the bigger wardrobe around the corner of our stairs, so they gave up almost immediately. I asked them why they don’t take the smaller wardrobe, and they told me that their boss would give them trouble if they take just one more than if they take none (I guess because it shows they didn’t try hard enough). Very disappointed with the whole experience. I’m not giving a one star because no one in the process is rude, but BHF needs to try much harder to make it easy for people to donate furnitures.

They sold the bookshelf I had paid for in cash to someone else and I am struggling to receive my £30.00 refund. 29/06/2021 - I bought a solid wood bookshelf measuring 3 feet L x 6 feet H (lets call it bookshelf “A”) and reserved it for collection until 02/06/2021. I paid £30.00 in CASH for the item. 02/06/2021 I was unwell. In order to ask for an extension on collection time for the bookshelf bought on the 29/06/2021 I called the shop but could not get through anyone so left a message explaining that I was going to the shop on the following day. On the 03/06/2021 I went to the shop, bought another solid wood shelving unity, 160cm length by 190 cm hight (let's call it bookshelf “B”), asked for 1st bookshelf (bookshelf "A) bought on the 29/06 to be reserved for a few more days as I needed to check if the second bookshelf would fit in through the stairs leading my flat. I paid £50.00 with my credit card. on the same day, 03/06/2021, I bought a 3rd shelving unity for my kitchen and reserved. I paid £20 with my credit card (lets call it bookshelf “C”) 07/06/2021 I went to the shop to collect the 2 smaller bookshelves (“A” and “C”) and get refund from bookshelf “B” for it was too large. Only bookshelf “C” was found in the shop and was told by the manager that bookshelf “A” was no where to be found and that it may have been sold to someone else. I then collected only bookshelf “C”. I lost the red receipt for bookshelf “A” book but I have a clear memory that the lady on the cashier, on 29/06/2021, wrote the purchased unity on the books, making note of my second name on the books when she marked: paid £30.00 in cash and that item was to be collected was to collect on the 02/06/2021. 08/06/2021 I called the shop again and for the first time manage getting through. Spoke to a lady called Stephanie, described what had happened mentioning that the £30.00 bookshelf I paid for in cash had apparently been sold to someone else. I asked for a refund. She advised me to call on the following day when Greg, the manager would be on the shop. Today, 09/06/2021, I left 3 messages on the store’s answer machine. I directed the messages to Greg, the manager, asking for him to call me back so to see if we could come to a solution, but no call back received. A total waste of my time and money.

Store manager was friendly and very helpful, the stock in the store was decent too and prices fair. Got what we wanted quickly and all was good. Highly recommended second hand furniture store.

Great store, however let down by ONE manager who is rude, unfriendly, arrogant and obnoxious. I asked him about possible repair to some damage on a sofa and he made a comment about me using my common sense. This is now the 3rd time he has been rude to me. On another occasion he served two other ladies before me providing them with a big discount and speaking to them in his language. I was waiting for over 10 minutes before they approached and kindly advised him of the same then he told me he was serving them first. I patiently waited and then asked if I could get a discount too as my item was more than the one sold to the ladies and he said no. I asked if it’s because I couldn’t speak his language and he said no. I have spent so much money in this shop and have always supported the charity (20+ years) but when I see him I don’t go in. The other staff are very friendly and helpful, in fact extremely polite. He is always miserable. Speaks to customers with a rude harsh tone and struggles to appear happy to be working for such a good cause. Such a shame. He lets down the store. Purchased the said sofa and paid for delivery. No contact made on delivery date so went and noted a sign saying store closed for maintenance. Found him and other staff at the side entrance so went to enquire. Again he was rude refusing to provide any information. When I said I had no contact he insisted he personally called and left voicemails with anyone he didn’t get through to about cancelled delivery. When I insisted I received no voice note he said he could prove this with his paperwork. Later came with paperwork saying he wrote a note on leaving a v/m. So I asked him to confirm number which he confirmed he had written down with one wrong digit. No apology. No explanation on store closure. Just told closed until further notice and I may not get sofa just a refund. Asked if I could collect myself told no. Rude tone and no empathy. Reported to head office as this was one too many occasions. Next day got a call to advise sofa damaged by flood. I asked to view the sofa damage and was told it’s no longer in store as it had to be chucked out as damaged by sewer flood. Extremely disappointed with the way I have been spoken to and treated as I could have been told this the day before. Makes me question whether this was done out of spite. I made it clear I really wanted the sofa as it matched two chairs bought in the same store weeks ago. Blonde manager is lovely as all other staff but avoid dealing with olive skinned (Spanish) tall dark haired miserable faced guy. BHF need to send him on a customer care course ASAP. Wont be dealing with him again! Loss to the charity.

Need to shout out British Heart Foundation Seven Sisters! Over the past 2 years since I moved to the area, I have picked up some great pieces here large (bedframe & sofa) and small (iron) it has meant I've been able to affordably and stylishly furnish my place, I have had things delivered for a fee but they also help you carry out items to an Uber. Friendly and helpful staff this shop has been brilliant for me and provides great service. Thank you to everyone there.

I waited over a week to hear back from someone to collect my furniture for donation. When I was contacted, they gave me a slot between 8am - 2pm and I made it clear that I'd need notice from the driver(s) before they leave or when they're on their way as I moved out of the property to another area and needed adequate time to travel and meet them at the property. I woke up early and waited around for 6 hours for someone to contact me when they were on their way and no one did. When I emailed to query this and why no one contacted me like I was told they would, the response was that the drivers turned up but no one was home.. what on Earth. Thanks a lot for wasting my time waiting around for hours. I called several times to talk to someone further about this and there's no one ever available to pick up the phone so I will have to make a 2 hour trip to visit them in person. I will update this review if necessary.

I understand it's for charity but prices are ridiculously high for the quality they are selling. Can often find the brand new version for cheaper online
