A superbly run specialist centre for hips and knees. I had a full knee replacement. The whole team work seamlessly towards an enhanced recovery for their patients. I was NHS bit everyone gets a comfortable private room with really excellent, imaginative and healthy food. All staff were friendly, professional and responsive. I warmly recommend it

I had a total knee replacement a month ago and it has totally changed my life! Dr Sam Rajaratnam was so kind and informative and it is clear why he is one of the top knee specialists in the country! The Staff from Operating Team and Nurses to the Tea ladies where exceptionally kind and nothing was too much trouble! The food was gorgeous and I honestly felt like I was having my operation at a 5* hotel! The Physio team have guided me through my post operative care and exercises and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.Thank you all so very much!!! You are amazing 👏 Lorraine Cousillas

I had a knee ligament reconstruction ( ACL) in November. A big thanks to all the staff and the surgeon it was excellent care all round. Highly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble. I was so nervous ( haha getting old - I didn't feel nervous as a child having any procedures done) yet they all put me at ease. After care very good too. They phoned 3 days post op to check on me and I phoned a few times with questions and they were very helpful.

I am writing on behalf of my husband John, to say a huge thank you to Mr Paul Gibb for the excellent care and his skill for a total new knee. The whole experience from start to finish was impeccable, ending in a near invisible operation scar & a very comfortable pain-free joint. What a very clever surgeon for being there for folk in trouble with walking in pain. Thank you also to the nursing staff who were also so gentle and kind.

March 2019 - I had my second hip replacement 2 weeks ago, I may have had high expectations for the second surgery, but I must admit the service from the first surgery last year failed to impress with the most recent. All the staff were very friendly, but on each occasion someone came into my room, the first sentence was “sorry for delay”. I had to wait 45 minutes for someone to remove an empty IV so I could go to the toilet. This is not what I expected. Very disappointed. November 2018 Best hospital I’ve ever been in. Staff and service was and is amazing. Had a full hip replacement 6 weeks ago at 44 years old after being diagnosed with avascular necrosis, my quality of life is so much better now. Thank you.

Excellent level of care. I was very lucky to get the opportunity to have my ankle operation carried out during the current climate. Everyone took great care to ensure that they followed Covid protocol. The surgeon and staff were extremely efficient, attentive and caring at all times. I was nervous prior to my operation but l was soon put at ease. Thank you again to all staff at the Horder Centre for the first class treatment given.

I’ve just had my second operation at The Horder and as previously everything was excellent. You feel cared for from the minute you arrive until they escort you to your car. The staff and particularly the surgeon was fantastic.. although for me it’s a two hour journey it is well worth every minute. A huge thank you to you all for everything

Very posh place, nicest clinic I've ever been to. Appointment to see specialist was 17.55, waited about 45 minutes, but treatment was good and efficient, x-rays done there and then, were the last ones to go at about 19.15.. Impressed they work so late.

5 Star Service through and through. Due to the pressure COVID is having on the NHS I was looking at over a year before I was even going to be seen about a large and painful loose body in my knee through the NHS. I was lucky enough to be able to refer myself privately to the Horder Centre. Once referred their staff contacted me immediately and booked in an appointment. With Dr Butler Manuel I was able to have my initial appointment, my scan, my followup appointment, book in my surgery and even my MRSA swabs for surgery in....ONE MORNING!!!! I honestly could not believe the speed and efficiency, it was actually quite eye opening. The surgery itself was outstanding, in normal times I would have waited just 7 days before the operation but had to wait a little longer because of COVID. I had my own private room and was tended to by excellent staff. I was in and out in a morning (including having a post-operation jacket potato!), which as someone who doesn't like hospitals was great! I strongly recommend if you can choosing the Horder Centre.

I've just had my second knee operation at the Horder and as before I received exceptional care and attention from all staff members. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained in detail and any questions/queries or worries were laid to rest in a calm reassuring manner. I felt at ease throughout, even during these difficult times. So a HUGE BIG thank you to you all - you truly are the best in your field.

Thank you Mr Ahmed and all the staff my hip now getting better quickly and after 12 weeks (where does the time go) I am back to bowling outdoors Did my exercises as told and they quickly got more easy and the hip more flexible Onward and upward thanks to you all

Love working there. Nice colleagues and very comfortable. The staff and location are lovely.

Everyone is friendly and polite and professional. I had to wait a bit longer than expected though. Some of the equipment is a bit dated.
