Beautiful food let down by a few sloppy service flaws. Firstly if you want to eat great food, creatively and expertly made you won't go far wrong than this small restaurant in the heart of Kent. 7 courses from bread and olives through to a marvelously silky smooth lemon Meringue. It was delightfull. My favourite was the Duck Taco. Could have easily eaten a plate of these. Dropped a star beacuase the cheese board came out before the dessert which left my party waiting for me to finish before they recieved their dessert. Once cleared, the wait for the dessert was far too long and the waitress dropped a fork from a plate onto my partners lap. And at £250 for two people the service should be slicker and felt more professional. Saying that the other waiters gave a great overview of all of the wines and each course as they came. I was pleased to hear about local food being incorporated into the menu. All in all a great experiance and almost perfect...

Well the food in the West House is as good as we have had anywhere. It was a 5 course set menu and nibbles before hand. No choice but every course was excellent, and unlike some tasting menus we were served the correct amount of food. Not too much and not too little. We rarely have the matched wines with a set menu but the wine list is so unusual that we decided to try, and we were not disappointed. 4 out of 5 were perfectly to our taste, the 5th was strange but perfectly matched to the spicy food. We went on a Thursday and it was quiet but the helpful and friendly service made up for it. Be careful because it is expensive, but we felt that it was worth the money. We will definitely go again and we strongly recommend the West House. Lovely.

Wow! What can I say. It was my first time dining at the West House and it was amazing! The ambiance, and the staff were lovely. The food is the best I’ve ever tasted. I had a selection on fish, duck and beef and they were all beautiful! The desert was amazing too! I will definitely want to come back! Thank you!

The restaurant was absolutely superb. Menu was outstanding and we loved the thought and innovation in each dish. Staff are wonderful. It's an evening worth every penny and makes for a memorable time.

We had a nice, relaxing evening meal. Tables in the restaurant are at a good distance from each other, which makes all the difference. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and arrived at just the right intervals. We loved little surprise treats in between courses. Will definitely come back. Gorgeous meal, everything served at a nice steady pace; really friendly and engaging serving team. We had a lovely evening :)

Had the full set menu with the wine testing pairing option and each dish was tasty and original. Each ingredient accurately selected with combinations never tried before. My favorite was the hake. Although they are family friendly the menu does not have any options for kids, so recommend to bring some from home. Overall good experience.

I was very kindly invited to have lunch here. The food and service were superb. Every dish was special and about the right size to savour. The wine matching worked well too. Well worth a visit.

Disappointing . Taster style menu Vegetable in main dish was 2 green beans ( decoration) and when asked for more told not possible ! Pudding good . Expensive . Staff polite .

We had an evening here with our friends and we have wanted to visit for some time. The inside of the restaurant isnt fussy but perfect. We had the taster menu and every dish was an explosion of flavours on the pallet. Each dish explained when it arrived and each dish as good as the next. Its not cheap but worth every penny because the food and service is incredible. We look forward to returning thank you to all.
