It was a blessing to come across Crazy 88. Coach Vannessa and Team are great. We enrolled our son at age 7 for the summer camp and he had a blast. He thoroughly enjoyed camp for the duration summer. They have all kinds of activities for kids. My son enjoyed it so much, he started going for regular classes. He still gets excited about going to this day. They do a great job keeping the gym clean and have a welcoming environment. It’s so many positives about Crazy 88 I wouldn’t be able to list them out. They also have a section where the kids can hang out or as a parent being able to watch them train on live video. He enjoys it so much, I might have to start taking classes .. before he starts telling me to take out the trash and do the dishes. In all seriousness , I tip my hat to the team at Crazy 88 for working with the kids, giving them positive reinforcements, and providing a safe space. They do a great job and I most definitely appreciate it.

Our child has greatly benefited from this. He is developing into a more self-assured, dedicated, and diligent young man. The teachers are outstanding. Discipline, respect, altruism, and doing the right thing are important lessons they impart. We have been extremely pleased with the school, and our younger son will join when he is old enough. Crazy 88 Mixed Martial Arts is highly recommended by us.

I’ve been at crazy 88 for over 3 years now, going in without knowing a single person I can honestly say that it has been one of the most welcoming environments I’ve ever been a part of. From not knowing the first thing about martial arts, all of the coaches have been nothing short of perfection when it comes to teaching the sport. It really takes you back to your old roots having coaches keeping you accountable as an adult. Plan to stay for many years to come.

Amazing place if you want to learn martial arts! The coaches and staff are all incredibly friendly, and I’ve found both their BJJ and Muay Thai classes to be incredibly intense, and great at developing the skills being taught.

My daughter and I have been going to Crazy 88 for almost 2 years. They have an excellent program and the kids program is fantastic! In addition, they have one of the best summer camps in the area led by Coach Vanessa! I highly recommend!

This place is outstanding! My son has been a student for about a year. He has learned so much and gained so much confidence! the staff is super helpful and the instructors are second to none. They are able to foster confidence and growth in their students and able to develop an overall love for martial arts.

I loved training at Crazy 88 when I lived in Maryland. The instructors are top notch. Incredibly diverse group of people. Everyone is really encouraging, and the level of BJJ is some of the best I have seen. I highly recommend it for those in the area.

I started training at Crazy 88 in 2014 with Coach John Johnson AKA Southside. He's by far one of the best coaches in the game. If you're looking for great technical training and a total body workout, I would highly recommend you do a free trial and consider joining 88. Not only will you get an opportunity to achieve your fitness goals here, but you will feel a part of the family.

When I first enrolled my 5-year-old child in Crazy 88 Mixed Martial Arts located in Elkridge, Maryland, I was only thinking of introducing him to physical activity. However, in two (2) short years of Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai instruction, his confidence, strength, agility, discipline, power, and respect for others has grown exponentially. ---- The instructors at Crazy 88 are top notch, especially Coach Vanessa who heads up the Kids Program, and is also an active black belt Jiu-Jitsu competitor internationally. She carefully watches over all instruction and progressively leads her students to higher levels of mastery. My child now competes at grappling events on the east coast. Coach Vanessa is both encouraging and nurturing. During competitions she is visible and coaches with vigor from the coaches’ box. ---- I simply don’t have enough words to say about the Crazy 88 staff. They all work harmoniously to provide an environment conductive to encouragement and excellence. One of the best investments I could have made in developing my youngster’s body and mind. Thanks to Crazy 88 when I needed you the most.

Great place to train, develop, and grow. You learn a lot about yourself when someone is trying to break your will and impose theirs on you. Meet people of all walks of life, from UFC fighters to lawyers and everything between. Coaching and staff are the lynch pin that hold it all together and drive the culture. Everyone is treated with respect and dignity, doesn’t matter if you are a world class athlete or a hobbyist. If you train here you will have success in your martial art discipline and in life. this has been my experience anyway, and the experiences I see across the board with teammates. I often find myself applying what Julius (the owner) talks about after practice to my work and personal life. You will develop strong bonds with the people you train with as you push each other to get better and the coaches do a great job of fostering this as you are only as good as your training partners. These bonds often bleed over into your personal friendships outside the gym. 10/10 would recommend to anyone slightly curious what martial arts are all about.

I’m currently on my 3rd month of crosstraining here and I like the place so far. They are very considerate and understanding; all you need to do is communicate. All of the instructors are also very open minded and will explain the techniques to suit your mobility. The jujitsu instructors present a variety of awesome techniques and are very particular about training attire, so be sure to bring/buy/rent rashguards and gi. For Muay Thai and boxing, Coach Sebastian and Coach John are two of the professors that will encourage you to push past your limits; so prepare good quality hand wraps, gloves and fight gear. Regardless, I very much recommend trying out all the classes at least once to see which art suits you best. You’ll have a good time here.

I’ve been training here for over a year and love it! Great way to get in the best shape of your life. Honorable mention to Coach Southside! He makes boxing and BJJ a fun class to take while learning world class skills.

I train bjj. The space is a bit overwhelming because of the size and amount of things occuring at the same time, however the programs I attended were well organized and executed. As a woman I feel generally feel comfortable in the space. I am neither manhandled nor treated like glass. Coach Southside gets two thumbs up. 👍🏿👍🏿
