Food is amazing very clean service is fast and attentive the atmosphere is almost like farm like. The prices are reasonable not too expensive. The lemonade is great not too sweet I got the chicken and pancakes which was very good chicken was moist and tender not fried too hard the pancakes were good too a little thicker than usual but not dry homefries were season and very good. Cakes on cakes which was a corn meal pancake with crab cake fries green tomatoes it was excellent well season evenly proportion no filler in the crab cake great experience one of my favorite restaurants in the area

Breakfast lovers this is the place!! Plenty of seating, outside seating with a tent, and to go options the food speaks for itself. Usually a 20 minute wait time during busy hours. My wife and I went on a double date to catch up with old friends as we made our way back up the coast. The food was utterly delightful. Nothing tasted frozen. Our group indulged in chicken and waffles. Pop tarts are house made and flavors depends on the day. We mistakenly got a wrong tart but the staff was sweet and let us try it. The brown sugar was heavenly, the wild berry seems to be the most popular, and the strawberry was an awakening.

Stopped by here early one evening during the Christmas season midnight madness events as it has a great location near everything and a very large delicious looking menu. They had the place nicely decorated for the holidays so that it was very festive, and the host / hostess were very friendly and helpful in getting us a table upstairs looking out over the alleys of the city. They had a nice menu of seasonal drinks and a full cocktail list, as well as wine and beer. The food menu is very large and features breakfast all day too. Unfortunately, things were less incredible from there out. The prices are really pretty astounding. For example, I got the breakfast combo at $16 which literally only includes 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, and 2 eggs. At your local breakfast places, this will run you about $8 or is known as Grand Slam at Denny's and includes 2 more pieces of meat for $10. Shrimp and grits bowl was $26. Cocktails run $10-14 and the prices on the menu exclude all alcohol and sales taxes, making them much more than that. The food and drink quality was average but definitely diner quality and not up to the level of the price point. Our server was robot-like efficient and delivered our food fine but was not particularly friendly and ignored attempts at casual friendly conversation. The star of the evening though was definitely the giant Pop-Tart, which was more fairly (but far from cheap) priced at $11 and was nicely presented and delicious and actually tasted JUST like a pop tart. Big fan of that creation. Overall, I realize food is more expensive in the city and that they probably have a big investment in their real estate and real estate taxes being in the heart of Annapolis, but I just can't imagine making much effort to go here again, although happy to stop in if visitors are really passionate about trying it. Now, ordering a giant pop-tart for takeout, that might just be the best option at this place.

I enjoyed my lunch at this restaurant. Lots of options to order! The food was delicious and the portions were big. Staff was very friendly. It’s location is great because it is at the city center and it’s easy to walk there. I would definitely go again.

We loving going here any time we travel to Annapolis. Best breakfast /brunch spot in downtown Annapolis. Super friendly staff and amazing dishes. Server recommended the chicken and waffles and it was fantastic!

Ok, I don't know if I have the words to describe the absolute excellence this place is. I drove 90 minutes TWICE in 2 weeks just to come here for breakfast. The crab based meals are incredible. The thing I have picture here normally comes with fries but I subbed it to grits. It was life changing. After I had breakfast here, I started looking up home prices in the area. It's so f@#$ing good.

This restaurant was next to the Naval Academy. It is a very charming place and the comfort food was plentiful and good. I tasted the eggs Benedict and they were very good. My kids got waffles and pancakes and loved them. I did not put 5 stars because we were cold. Every time someone would open the front door, we would get the freezing air on us. The staff was very nice and attentive. If you call them, they will not ignore you. I would recommend the place but do not sit, in the winter, on the table upstairs that is right off the stairway. We were there and were too cold.

Our host Xavier was great! The Arnold Palmer was the best I've had anywhere, and the poptart was cute... and that's where my story takes a turn. Granted, it was snowing outside when we decided to visit, this place has zero insulation, and we were freezing sitting upstairs with no heat available.. which makes for an already uncomfortable meal setting. The broccoli & cheddar soup came out lukewarm, and didn't help warm us up. It was runny and had an off-putting taste... as if the broccoli was going bad. None of us finished either of our 3 entrées, and neither of the 3 of us wanted to bring it home... they just weren't that tasty. My sisters ordered the corned beef and the crab dish pictured here with the eggs...and I ordered the crab benedict- which was very underwhelming. That red tomato, in my opinion, doesn't belong on this dish... it changes the taste...and the hollandaise was unseasoned. I only ate 1, and I had to force myself to finish it. The homemade poptart was good. We tried the strawberry cheesecake and the original berry (it's the better of the two). If I were out with friends and they suggested to stop here, I wouldn't go back.

The food here is creative and some of the best breakfast food you will have. The “Roo Tarts” are phenomenal. The service however was abysmal. We sat there for 20 minutes before they even took our order. And when we were given our tarts, we weren’t given utensils to eat them so we had to eat them with our hands like the animals we are. They were so delicious so we didn’t care so much. But this place would be a much better dining experience with better service.

This is my second time eating here. We recently stopped by this place for dinner one night and it was delicious! Food came out fast, our server was very polite, and the place is really cozy. I got the pancakes and waffles with homefries.. absolutely delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and crunchy around the edges and the chicken was very flavorful (not dry at all). I was not the biggest fan of the bourbon butter and would order regular butter next time around, but that was not a deal breaker for this place. My boyfriend got the burger and fries and the fries were absolutely delicious as well. Super crunchy and soft on the inside and lots of flavor. I am sure I'll be eating here again next time we visit Downtown Annapolis.

Alright sports fans, my boy and I came to Annapolis to watch Navy win on a fine Saturday evening. Gotta love Navy blue and gold. We headed out the next day and the man-cub chose the brunch spot. Huge line at the Iron Rooster, but it moved faster than advertised. We got seated on the patio. Crisp fall day, but the heaters heat! Don’t overlook the outdoor seating. Lexi the server crushed it. Great recommendations and she is a welcoming/warm human. Thanks Lex! Great food, coffee, and a great cap-off to a victory weekend. I think they might even serve you if you are Army, but feel free to explore other venues.

Delicious breakfast. A bit cold in outdoor seating (February morning) but tolerable. Picnic table seating. Arrived before 10am on a Sunday and only a small crowd, but was full before we left. Food was delicious! Lots of choices. And some unique choices, too.

This breakfast is well worth the wait. I had the country fried shrimp eggs Benedict with fruit instead of home fries and it was delicious! The shrimp were lightly battered and fried and the poached egg had a creamy yolk. My husband had French toast that was amazing too. The service is really pleasant and quick. I like asking servers for advice and our server gave this suggestion that did not disappoint.

Fist of I just want to say our server Nancy was great! She was very professional and attending. The food is great. Enjoyed the Chicken and Waffle the most. The dessert was great as well. The place pretty busy being in downtown Annapolis. I recommend making a reservation. We waited about 45 min since we didn’t have one but was worth the wait. Definitely would go back and recommend this place.

The food is really good got the cakes on cakes but I didn’t feel like a valued customer when I first came in. I sat in the bar area and was ignored for a good 10 minutes. I was the only person there so there is no reason how they could’ve missed me. A lady noticed I hadn’t ordered and finally assisted me. The food and drinks are great but they should be more attentive to customers. Next time I’ll order to go.

Awesome breakfast/brunch menu. Crab hash, homemade poptarts (pictured), chicken and waffles, as well as many others I'd recommend. Don't bring your keto buddies! Terrific, quaint pub atmosphere with historic tone authentic for the area.

This was my first time here. I came for the weekend with my friends to visit Annapolis. I must say for a busy day they sit us fast. But, we waited for a long time for the food to come and when finally arrived is was kind of cold😩. Unfortunately, my friend got food poisoning from her eggs Benedict, she doesn’t know if she got it from the hollandaise sauce or the actual eggs. The thing is that we spend all Saturday evening and night at our hotel room cause she could not get out of the bathroom🥹that was not fun at all.. we can just for one night and couldn’t do much, just be aware if you order this ask your waiter to bring it to you as soon is ready don’t let it sit around until is cold and contaminated 🙏I don’t know after this incident I have my doubts about the restaurant. Sorry Iron Ruster🥹

Delicious American-themed restaurant breakfast to start our day in Annapolis. Food was delicious and filling. Service was efficient. Atmosphere had 1980s classic rock tunes + cute animal pictures on the walls.

Delicious food with some unique twists. Service was friendly and fast. Floors were dirty and slippery - 3 of us almost fell. Nothing exciting about the atmosphere. We would most likely try a different restaurant when visiting Annapolis again.

We came here for the first time after hearing good things about the food. Iron Rooster is a cute spot with plenty of indoor seating downstairs and upstairs. The decor is very farm home like and cute with Maryland and Navy signs around in addition to the roosters. The place is kid friendly. We sat upstairs and had a great view of the Annapolis city dock area. Our waitress was great and fast with anything we needed. The food was great w good portions! They serve all day breakfast along with a regular lunch/dinner menu. Iron Rooster is known for their fresh made pop tarts. So we had to try! We were not disappointed. Definitely recommend ordering a pop tart to go if you are too full after you eat. They have different flavors depending on the season. Also the size of the pop tart is bigger than what you get from the store. 1 can definitely serve 2 people. Drinks were light and good too! Definitely a must try place.

Such a cute little restraunt! Ordered 1/2 waffle with home fries, and an omelet. The vanilla, cinnamon deliciousness that was the waffle, was to die for!!! Yum yum yum! Not one bad remark!

It was a great overall experience. I just couldn’t give five stars because our server was not that great. He did a fine job but not five star fine. We had the crab dip as an appetizer. It was delicious. It was served with tortilla chips. Cheese and delicious! For our main dish we had “chicken and waffles” and “fried chicken Benedict”. It was great. The waffles were made out of corn meal. The fried chicken was nicely battered. It wasn’t too greasy it was very yummy. The spices in the batter were perfect. I can recommend the iron rooster. They have a great menu for everyone. They even have cocktails. I would definitely come back and try something different next time.

This is a great place for a relaxing meal with friends. We went on a sunny day and sat outside, there was live music, and overall the atmosphere was terrific. They recommend their fried chicken and for good reason. They use chicken breast but still manage to fry it without drying it out completely. All of us got a different item from pancakes and fried chicken, a salad with fried chicken and even a fried chicken sandwich. There were only a few things that if better would have made it perfect. The wait staff was kind and friendly and willing to help make those few things better. It was a wonderful meal.

Everything was delicious. There seemed to be some confusion when we first arrived trying to seat us. People seemed to busy, but the food definitely made up for that. Everything was good, hot and fresh. That bourbon butter was perfect on the French toast. Our waitress was awesome so we'll definitely be back. It's a popular place, we arrived around 830am and they already had a full house...at least from what I can see outside.
