I made an appointment with Samuelson’s to sell some pieces of silver flatware. This was my second experience with Samuelson’s. Making an appointment was an easy and professional process. I was fortunate to have the same gentleman evaluate my pieces at both appointments. He was efficient and he described each step of the process. The amount I received was at the high end of the value of the items. On my first visit I received 10% more than another buyer offered. I would recommend consulting Samuelson’s Diamonds and Estate Jewelry when you have precious metal or stones or estate jewelry to sell.

Samuelson's is AWESOME. My engagement ring is an antique ring from the 1930s. It's absolutely gorgeous, and so when the delicate shank (I learned that that's what jewelers call the band) formed a crack around one of the inset diamonds, I went to Samuelson's because of their great reviews. I worked with Eric Sanchez, who used a laser to fix the crack. It seemed to do the trick, until I caught it on something a couple of weeks later and the weak part gave way, and the shank split completely. Determining that it was a flaw in the initial design, Eric talked me through the process of created an entirely new, thicker shank. I just got it back today and the craftsmanship is perfect. This is coming from an extremely detail-oriented person. I don't have to worry about the fragility of the ring anymore and it looks fabulous. Another thing I learned is that since the main stone is an emerald and emeralds cannot take high heat, the traditional methods of welding could not be done on this ring, hence the use of a laser. I don't think many jewelers would take the time to explain in depth the processes they use but Eric was happy to answer all my questions. These guys are the best!

Hate to post badly on small businesses, but do think people should be aware. Husband bought my engagement ring from Samuelson in 2019. Loved the ring and never had issues until one year later. The ring started turned my finger very black. We inquired quite a few times on what we could do and even went in person recently to discuss why this is occurring with my engagement ring but not my 2 wedding bands (which were bought from another jeweler). We paid for refinishing of the engagement ring through Samuelson but it continued to happen. When we were in the store we were told that I’m allergic to the ring and I needed to go to the doctor to figure out what I’m allergic to to be able to wear the ring. The last offer we were given in person is to buy a new ring at $2500. It’s unfortunate after many years of coming back with this issue and paying for many refinishings nothing could be done. We ultimately ended up getting the ring remade by the same jeweler we bought my wedding bands from since we knew the white gold he was using wasn’t turning my finger black and for a way cheaper price. Still giving 3 stars because they are nice, but think customer service and price could have been a bit better here.

Great experience! We chose Samuelson's based on a recommendation by a friend/neighbor and now I know why. It might seem odd to say that selling some old silver pieces was a great experience, but it really was! From the greeting (they were expecting us) to the evaluation (really fair value) to the transaction was extremely pleasant, seamless, and we walked away happy. I highly recommend calling them if you have jewelry, silver, etc. to sell. Wish I'd known about them sooner, but they'll be my go-to from now on.

Had a great experience with Samuelson’s. We had a ring made using a family diamond and sold a couple of diamonds that went towards the price of the ring. We were given options in the design of the ring and when we asked for changes, they provided new CAD images to show what the ring would look like. There were no issues during any part of the experience, the service was top notch. Very happy with the final product, the ring is beautiful and took the amount of time expected to be made. We will definitely be a return customer for any jewelry needs.

I purchased a lovely estate bracelet, accurately described on Samuelson's website with plenty of photos. The bracelet is more beautiful in person! Ordering via the website was hassle free, and I appreciated the priority overnight shipping to Texas and signed appraisal. All in all, a fantastic transaction. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

I had gone to Samuelson’s maybe 10 years ago when it was a store on Baltimore Street to have a few rings resized and was happy with their service. So I contacted them through their website last week to inquire about selling some antique jewelry and flatware. Liz at Samuelson’s was quick to respond. I set up an appointment and she sent confirmation emails. I met with Allie. She was very nice and took time to explain to me why or why not some of the antique jewelry and flatware was worth selling to Samuelson’s. She tested (in front of me) a few nuggets that were passed down and explained how she determined that they were actually silver dipped in gold. She answered my questions and gave me what I think was a fair quote. I did a little research prior to going but I’m far from an expert and not interested in doing a lot of shopping around. I accepted her offer and was paid before I left. I recommend Samuelson’s for selling jewelry.

I recently purchased an estate diamond bracelet from Samuelson's. I originally called Allan and asked him to keep an eye out for something special.
